We had an amazing BBQ dinner at Big Hole BBQ! The Prime rib was good with a nice smokey flavor, but the wings, okra and especially the Burnt Tips were outstanding!  The Burnt tips fell apart when you picked them up, but had a nice crunchy layer. I saw this place on my way to Jackson Hole and just felt like I must eat there so we stopped for a late dinner on the way home. Due to our lateness they were out of the brisket I was dying to try. Instead we got the burnt ends, macaroni and cheese, dry rubbed wings and beet salad. Everything was amazing! Fantastic ribs, kind people, quick service. Took to go and was very pleased. Don't recommend the beans as a side; very vinegary.

Ended up here on a Monday for lunch since most of the restaurants in town were closed or did not open until later. Was able to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and got a beer on tap. For food I got a brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese and I must say they piled on the brisket which was good since you only get one side included. My other guests enjoyed their meals as well so I would recommend this spot for good bbq! Not my favorite but it was tasty. read more

Great food and service. If you are coming with a big group they do not allow anyone under 21 upstairs even if its late afternoon. We had 17 people (2 teenagers) so finding enough tables was an issue but we worked it out. read more

We took a bicycle ride from Driggs, ID to Victor, ID to visit this BBQ place. Indoor and outdoor seating is nice and the waitress was friendly. We wanted to order a combo platter but it wasn't available before 5 PM. We had the brisket with beans, burnt ends and the beet salad. Service is severely sub par. Took over 20 mins just to have the server approach us after getting seated. Did not even have forks for us to eat with after the entrees took an hour from order to table. It seems like they have too much going on for their own good. Would not recommend unless you want to sit around and drink for a while. read more

Ate here while visiting Tetons Natl Park. We got a 1lb of the burnt ins, pulled pork sandwich and the Asian cabbage salad. Our food arrived quickly. The Original burnt ends were delicious. They were more on the fatty side but had tremendous flavor. The pulled pork was on the dryer side for my liking but my husband enjoyed it. The Asian salad was a bit disappointing. It had all of the ingredients it described but lacked flavor. The honey sesame vinaigrette tasted like vinegar. There was no sesame nutty flavor or sweetness of any kind. This tight venue has great food and friendly service. We visited on a busy Saturday, early evening. They only had two servers, I think, but they were working hard and making it work well. Food was delicious. Okra made us feel like we were in the southeast. We both had one wagyu slider--small, but yummy. And small can be a good things for portions; we didn't have to come home with oodles of leftovers. Also had a chicken BBQ slider and the chicken was fantastic. Side salad was cheap, but decent size. First I came here and the last, In all places I have eaten across America, I've never heard of a "1 to go" charge on my check. I ordered a burger and onion rings. She avoided giving me a receipt. I gave what was left of the $20 as a tip. When I received food no receipt was provided, either so I insisted on one be given. when I looked on the receipt, there it was. See I don't care if it was a $30 burger. I still have a habit of giving tips and treating people with kindness, but when they stiff me before I even gets to eat..... Diners be aware!!!! The receipt says I was served by Sydney, she has dark (obviously paintable)hair, skinny. I suppress my urge to curse such people with this kind of exploiting mentality. Why not just ask for a tip? Solid 4 stars with a very nice server working her butt off. Nice outside seating with space to feel comfortable. We had the Mac & Cheese, Fried Okra, Crunchy Chinese Salad, Wedge Salad with the Mahi Mahi as an add on. All very good. Would love to come back and try more of their selections. Waited until 5 PM to eat meat from the smoker, well worth the wait! While I'm typically not partial to BBQ chicken, this was some of the best I've ever had. The ribs fell off the bone and the service was great. Would recommend ordering the breaded mac and cheese as an appetizer and then getting two different sides with the meat combo plate as it comes out to a great amount of food. Stopped here for lunch and got the burnt ends and a salad. The burnt ends were beautifully smoky, had the perfect crust and a heavenly balance of meat and fat. The seasoning was spot on and the spicy sauce nicely cut through the richness. These guys would stand up well against the ends I've had in Austin, TX and I can pay no higher compliment than that. The only think I wish they would do was throw a couple of slices of white bread on there with it to mop up some of the sauce and even out the meat. This was suggested to us by an employee at the hotel we were staying. And it did not disappoint - Absolutely wonderful food! We got there and there were no open tables inside or out, but a waitress quickly acknowledged us and said she'd have an open table shortly. Within a minute, we were seated. There were only two waitresses working the entire place, but they were busting their tails and the service was top notch! Hands down best burnt ends I've ever had, melt in your mouth good! We stumbled upon this place after getting engaged in Feb of 2023, we came back in Sept for our wedding and had to show our family just how amazing it was! The brisket was falling apart tender with a nice smoke ring, and the ribs literally fell off the bone with flavor for days. Really liked the beans too. They had a smokey pepper flavor that was very different. My girlfriend got the burnt ends with the spicy sauce. Didn't think the sauce was that spicy but they were full of flavor. You know those moments in the movies, where the guy waits at the bottom of the stairs for his date? He's pacing and getting irritated, looking at his watch, checking his phone. And then. She descends. And he forgets about the time. That was me...at Big Hole BBQ. We waited outside for 10 minutes before my husband went inside and asked for menus. They said, "Well you gotta let let us know you're out there." Well, we did. And she said she was. bringing out menus. Then we placed our order and it took 20 solid minutes to get the food. They weren't busy and had ample staff. My husband set a time limit or we were walking out. They made the cut by two minutes. When she came around the corner with our ribs, I was reminded of every prom I'd attended and the anticipation that accompanies it. Then, we ate. Geeeeeez. Amazing. Ate here our first night in town. Found a table inside downstairs without issue. Sat a long time before someone finally came by and asked how we were. Then we ordered and waited over 45 minutes for our food. Tables that came in after us were served but we still didn't have our food. At one point I went to the area where people were picking up food and asked about our food. Oh it is coming. Honestly, there is no way they either forgot to put the order in or something. Everyone at the table ordered combo plates. Of which it is all made. All you do is put it on plates. BBQ places are finishers only. It isn't like we are going to sit there and wait for ribs to be made. Anyway once we got our food it was fine. Nothing special but not bad. Some of our meat was a tad dry. Then we waited again.....for a bill, to pay, to get to go boxes.....Wait was the name of our night. They seem to do a big take out business. Our waiter was very focused on that so maybe we got a bad server. If in town for more than a few days, I am sure you will eat here as the selection is not large. We probably would steer people away if they are from Texas as this BBQ was average. I also don't see the appeal with the mac & cheese. Beware of what and how you order as their are up charges. Great food!! We got the Nachos for a starter and they were fantastic. The queso was light and creamy and nicely seasoned. Pico de Gallo and jalapeños on top was delicious! We ordered the Mahi tacos and the Philly with a side of coleslaw. Both very well done. Got the churros & ice cream dessert of the week to top things off and very much enjoyed. This place has good food, but the service is not so good. We came in and sat down. We looked at each other and talked for a few minutes. Then I went to the restroom told my wife to order me a Coca Cola. Then I came back sat down and asked her has anyone come by yet? She said no , so then I went up to the bar and asked the bartender if they had any menus. She looked at me and asked where are you at? I told her we are right up front. We ordered our food after waiting for service for 10 minutes. The food came out was very tasty and filling. As we were eating a 6 year old boy came up to the table and started asking us questions and touching our baby. We asked him not to touch her and she is very young and can get sick easily. So the kid walks away 5 minutes later comes back rubs her head and then walks away again. I asked the waitress if this was her son , she stated that was the owner's kid. A few minutes later the kid was running from the dining room into the kitchen and back playing with a ball like it was his own personal soccer field. Not only is this not healthy for a kid to be rolling around on a dirty floor touching everything in the dining room and kitchen and nobody doing anything about it. The boy tried to put the dirty ball onto our babies face. I told the child please do not do that as for that ball is dirty. It is not the duty of the staff to babysit the owner's son. School is out now therefore the owner should be watching his son or put him in somebody else's care not at a restaurant. I would have given this company five stars if it was not for the child and the crappy service. read more
