I visited today and ordered some links -- the food was good and we enjoyed that part of our visit. Afterward, my daughter wanted ice cream, so we walked over to the ice cream area. When we asked about it, one of the staff members questioned whether ice cream was being served, and another person said no. The waitress then told me they were not serving ice cream, even though there was a sign on the door indicating that it was available. It was a bit disappointing, especially for my daughter who had her heart set on ice cream. Clearer communication or updated signage would help avoid confusion in the future. Overall, the food was good, but the inconsistency around the ice cream service left us with a less positive ending to our visit. read more

I'm truly not the biggest fan of Lil mikes. I've heard a lot from people that have lived in Rigby for quite a long time now that it used to be really good. I assume that's when guy fury came in and give his thumb up of approval. It's always super fun seeing restaurants that he's been to in the most random places. The meat itself was pretty bland, there wasn't too much special about the food we ate. In all honesty, the meal didn't fill me up. For what I got, though I feel like I paid an extremely fair price. I was visiting family in Rigby Idaho a place where I have never been so had to check out the local BBQ which is Lil Mikes. I had the brisket both lean and fatty, some links and their pork ribs. The brisket and links were good but the star of the show was the pork ribs. I am usually a brisket person so for the pork ribs to stand out they had to be great as their brisket was very tasty as well. I have tried lots of BBQ all over the country and grew up in Texas eating the very best Central Texas BBQ and this was up there and will definitely be coming back! read more

WOW! Melt in your mouth delicious BBQ. Lil' Mike's BBQ is where it's at. This is a order at the counter style restaurant and seat yourself. Get there early because they sell out quickly and are only open until 7:00 PM. The restaurant was clean, neat and tidy. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The menu is clear and easy to read. Ordered the make your own meat platter with Brisket, pulled pork, corn salad and cole slaw. As well as the Big Mike's sandwich with smoky Mac and cheese. The brisket was tender, juicy and moist. The pulled pork was tender and delicious although it was a bit bland, not really any flavor, but mixed with the house BBQ sauce it was really good. The corn salad was a first for me, basically just corn, seasoning, mayo and corn chips. The cole slaw was a miss for me as it was too acidic and fell short of a sweet/creamy taste. The Big Mike's sandwich was a brisket with jalapeno sausage and was pretty good. The smoky mac and cheese was delicious although a bit on the salty side. Definitely worth the trip and a return visit. I did not use the restroom on this visit. My apologies for not providing any pictures as I was so hungry that I devoured my meal before I had a chance to get the camera out! Let's chat for a moment shall we? I am from Arkansas and in my home town is this amazing place called Wright's BBQ. Yep, that's right! Yelp top 100 winner and multiple awards because the place is DANG GOOD! Moving up north was not my first choice and I tend to avoid BBQ places because I just find pure disappointment. But Lil Mike's caught my eye. I was skeptical. Even watched this place from afar for years before I was even willing, but we made it as we were headed to the airport this last Thursday. We wanted a variety of meats so I got the pulled pork sandwich with the sausage and slaw. My husband got the brisket, sausage, and slaw. My daughter just got some Mac n cheese and corn bread. They were very kind despite us being there the moment they opened. They were incredibly patient as we picked apart the menu and discussed. Great atmosphere that honestly reminded me of the joints back home. Then we sat and ate. It was wonderful! Truly! Is it on the same level as wright's? No, but it is be far the best BBQ I have had in Idaho and I will be returning. Not to mention they don't charge more than you would expect of a BBQ place unlike many of the places around here with high prices and small portions. You could tell the family was originally from Texas from the accents and well, they actually know their BBQ! This place has a lot of hype being called out on a tv show. I've now been to this restaurant several times over the last two years and it's good. Would I say the best bbq I've ever had.. probably not for bbq restaurants around here in Idaho falls area is a strong competitor. I do think the Mac and cheese here is one of the highlights of the restaurant because some of the nice cut meats I'll be back many times it's also probably the best restaurant in Rigby if you are looking for something really good that's in town without going to Idaho falls. read more

Just ordered a catered lunch for a local community club. They were quick and had everything boxed up and ready to go before we arrived. Food was hot. Smoked Mac n Cheese was delicious as always, the secret bbq sauce is finger-lock-in' good! We had the brisket and shredded pork. I love this place both for personal and business lunches. There is always a crowd at lunch. Pricing is a little more than fast food, but smoked meat isn't fast is it? Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive-ins and Dives stopped by unannounced on vacation at their place in West Yellowstone and loved it so much he had his crew come in and do a show. I had to drop by Idaho Falls from West Yellowstone and decided to stop by Lil Mike's after reading an article about the owners. The restaurant definitely has a Smokehouse feel to it as soon as you walk in. After talking to the employees about their recommendations and what the restaurant was known for I decided to try the brisket. I ordered a pound of the brisket and a hot link, cuz go big or go home, right? I also tried the slaw and the corn with a garden salad(needed some roughage. I did ask for some more fatty pieces and they didn't disappoint. There was a nice char to the outside with a good smoke ring. The meat was cooked very well. Not completely fall apart with a fork, but close. If you like some form to your meat without it disintegrating, you'll be happy with the consistency. The brisket was juicy and tender with a good crust. The hot link was pretty disappointing though, not much heat. The slaw was light, not too sweet or overpowering with too much mayo. The corn was topped with a layer of spicy Fritos which is really nice. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. There's also a location in west yellowstone if you're staying near the park. The staff were very friendly and eager to help. I would highly recommend this Spotify any carnivores. read more

Not gonna lie- surprised that this much flavor exists in lil ole Rigby.... and I love it! Their brisket is my favorite! Such good flavors! and their BBQ sauces are the icing on the cake! Not too keen on their sides, but their BBQ meat is enough to seal the deal. Love that we can come in, grab some bbq and a beer, and enjoy some country music. The ribs are top notch! Brisket is good too! The coleslaw is great! Avoid the cornbread it is dry and tasteless! The corn salad is made with canned corn, so it is lack luster and could be greatly improved using fresh or frozen corn! If you ask for extra butter and sour cream the loaded potato rocks! read more

O-M-G y'all! The brisket here is THE BOMB!!! I could've eaten a ton of it with their smoked Mac n' cheese. The 'hot bbq sauce' had a nice subtle hint of heat that went well with the pulled pork. The coleslaw and corn salad were both a little underwhelming but I love coleslaw so it was nice to have that creamy crunchy side.
