So I have been dying to come to try bbq here, and unfortunately every time I stopped by they were closed because they sold out. Well today I decided to try again and they were open! (Insert happy dance). I walked in and was greeted with a bright smile and a "hello! How are you today?" , I told the lovely gal that I had not been there before and that I had come by a few times but they were sold out. She gave me a run down of the menu, I then decided on their razorback sandwhich with hush puppies(I'm from Alabama so I was so excited for the hush puppies) , a side of Mac n cheese, baked beans and a 1/4lb of the turkey. While the food was being made, I got to talk to both of the owners and told them I had not been able to find a good bbq place since I moved here and how excited I was to try the food. They gave me samples of the pulled pork and turkey, let me tell you... OMG they were both so tender, moist and flavorful. It made me even more excited to try what I ordered. When I got home I tried everything and it is the best bbq I have had out here. The pulled pork sandwich was so delicious, the flavors of the pork mixed with the bbq sauce and the creamy coleslaw was phenomenal! I then tried the Mac n cheese and baked beans, again amazing and so much flavor. Lastly the hush puppies, I took one bite of those and it brought me right back home, especially with the honey butter they serve with it. They also had Alabama white sauce and dear god I will be convincing them to sell it to me by the bottle. All in all, I highly recommend Smokin' Gun BBQ. If they are closed keep trying to go back because it is definitely worth the wait. I will definitely be a returning and regular customer of theirs. read more

Smokin Gun BBQ is really good. It's just really good BBQ, and great service. It can get a little busy at lunchtime but I've never had to wait more than 5 mins for my food to come out. The chopped brisket sandwich is my go to choice. My wife likes the pulled pork, but you would be hard pressed to find something bad there. The only weird thing is that they don't allow high school kids (high school right across the street) in the restaurant at lunch time. I had the Brisket (Amazing) and Ribs (Good), with a side of Potato Salad (this made with sweet pickles, not my thing), MAC n Cheese (Amazing! He made with a smoky cheese!) and Onion Rings (Regular). This place is legit Texas style even done to the slices of white bread, pickles and onions! There was even a fry sauce for the rings. I'd come back again and again for the Brisket and Mac n Cheese!!! Way too expensive for what was delivered. A single meat plate was purchased, with a single Bud bottle. ($16.00) The smoke ring was good, but the fat was too fat. Since they weigh their servings, I don't want the fat. The Baked beans were from a can with a few additions, Costco bought potato salad, a single slice of non toasted Wonder white bread, and 2 pickle slices about the size of a quarter.
