So while leaving the area I just happened to pass this building so I stopped in because I can appreciate a good distillery. When you walk in it's huge and there's plenty of space on the inside and the outside. There are TVs here so you can actually watch a game while you're drinking. The staff was super cool and very very friendly so I appreciate that they do everything in house because it's a distillery but they have some very creative drinks. If you want to go and sit outside, that's a good spot to be in because there's plenty of space out there. They have a patio out there as well that is very easy to chill at. Overall I don't really have any complaints. The menu isn't huge but it's enough to get you over. If you're passing it, I would definitely say it'd be a good time to try. read more

This was my first time here and Lauren was our guide. She did a great job giving us a tour. We got to try moonshine in its rarest form straight from the barrel which was such a unique experience. Their craft cocktails were really tasty and they even had a food truck on the premises for those who wanted a little something extra to eat. I hope to come back and spend more time out here read more

Had no clue this place existed until I was mapping out my winery route. Decided to stop in on the way back to Atlanta. It is your typical distillery and tasting area set up, however, they do have different cocktails for you to try which is nice. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. Service is quick and to the point. Televisions are available if you wanted to catch up on your favorite teams while you enjoy your drink. They do sell their bourbon on site but I am not sure about tours. read more

Big Creek Distilling is not in the middle of nowhere, but you can see it from there. It's about fifteen minutes from Dahlonega, but worth the drive. They are fairly new, but they have a nice vibe. We did a tasting which included their gin, white dog whiskey (they called Moonshine), and their Small Batch and Single Barrel bourbons. The bartender was knowledgeable and attentive. read more

Not just a distillery--a whole experience. Big Creek Distilling nails it with their bourbon, gin, and moonshine, but what truly sets them apart is the people. The staff makes you feel like a local five minutes after walking in. Special shoutout to Cara, Kyra, and Tyler--college kids who are friendly, knowledgeable, and already showing how hospitality done right can shape incredible futures. You don't just taste here--you connect. read more

We loved this place so much we planned our weekend getaway just to come back. Went last night and Lauren was behind the bar again! Yay! Also tried out the food truck, Fair on Wheels. This really was a nice truck and the food was awesome. They sold out of empanadas by the time we went, so we hat steak tacos and mozzarella sticks. Both were great. Toward the end of the night a random woman walked up and started talking to my wife at the bar, come to find out, she was the matriarch of the family business, Patricia. We had a great conversation with her about the business and how they want to see it grow and really be a part of the community. It was really nice. We will continue to make this one of our regular stops whenever we are up this way. read more

Nice distillery with quality juice. Don't pass up buying a single barrel. You won't find them in the liquor store. Some good options but order early since it is a small food truck. read more

This place while not too big was one of the better ones we have ever been to. The drinks were so delicious & so appealing! If they had more food options we probably would've sat there for hours. We purchased one of the seasonal gin bottles as a gift. Such smooth easy to drink cocktails here. Staff were friendly & had excellent recommendations. On leash Dog friendly outdoor section. So cute. read more

This place seems like it would be amazing if you went when the weather was nice. The day we visited was rainy which meant the inside was pretty busy. It took a while to get service and even longer to tab out. The drinks themselves were tasty though as were the spirits. I just wish we would have had better service and the ability to be outside away from some of the noise. There was a taco food truck there when we visited and the food looked amazing but we had just eaten so we didn't try anything. read more

If I could give this place 4.5 I would, but because it just misses the mark on any warmth, I'm giving it a 4. The cocktails are sublime! We had "The Orchard", "Peach Moon" & a "Pumpkin Spiced Espresso Martini". We also had a tasting (Seasonal Gin, Gold Mine Moonshine, and small batch Bourbon) and the Something Snacky. read more

This was the best "tasting visit" we had over a long holiday weekend. It was so good, we went back again! Big Creek has an awesome tasting room and a great outdoor area. There was a food truck on station when we were there Sunday afternoon. The spirits were tasty. I really just came for the bourbon, which was really good. Mix it in a "Smoke on the Mountain" old fashioned, and it's a win! I ended up leaving with a couple bottles. The service in the tasting room was awesome. The bartenders both times were true artists! read more

Great service with worthwhile recommendations. Very casual meeting place always with personality.

I actually just just walked in to grab a few bottles but pleasantly surprised that they had a bar. Sat down and had one of the best old fashions I've ever had regular and smoky. Also good conversation with some other patrons so overall atmosphere great, service great, definitely recommend you come in for a few drinks. read more

We visited not once but twice in our first trip to the Dahlonega area of North Georgia. The selection of beverages was great but the flavors infused in them was absolutely awesome! First time visiting with the family. The good points were a spacious area with lots of indoor and outdoor seating; wry tasty cocktails and good spirits. The gin was my favorite, but the bourbon was pretty good too. I think the service was a little cold, and not very engaging. The "Something Snacky" was good with popcorn, pretzel sticks and mixed nuts helping absorb the booze. I think this place is going to do very well! read more

We took a short detour to visit this distillery. Luckily we had beautiful weather and could enjoy the views and the outdoor space. The cocktails were great, and of course we left with a bottle. The facility itself was very spacious and I love their branding. We had a great server who knew the history and the make-up of their bourbon. Take a detour too the next time you're nearby! read more

Great place to sip some Fine Georgia Bourbon and listen to great music! They have a young lady named Mary Martin that sings here from time to time. She's the best new artist I've heard in a while. Wouldn't surprise me to see her in Nashville soon! Check it out! read more

We found this place by accident and it was the best! A new, hip, and beautiful distillery, on the border of Dahlonega and Cleveland-- in the beautiful mountains. We came from Kaya winery and thought we had ran into the new brewery that we'd wanted to try. So we got excited and drove on in! We saw this beautiful outside space, incredible building full of windows, and garage style doors, w all windows. Great space! We sat down, my boyfriend ready for a good beer. Then the friendly bartender starts telling us all the great bourbons and gins they have, and I read the cocktail menu. lol it still hadn't dawned on me, that we weren't at the brewery haha. I don't drink beer, so I wasn't even analyzing it lol. So my boyfriend orders a bourbon flight -- per the bartenders recommendations. We're chatting it up with her, hearing that this place is new, and has big plans. I'm like awesome!! And I tell her "hey! I saw on Yelp, that you guys have trivia night, bingo, and corn hole, and food trucks! How fun! " She's like yeah!! We are trying to do lots of fun things and have more coming, etc. At this point, I still haven't figured out that this is not tantrum brewery that I saw on Yelp haha! Then my boyfriend mentions, while enjoying his bourbons, that didn't I mention a brewery? Lol And I suddenly was soooooooo confused hahaha. It all clicked and I was like wait..... is this not the brewery?! But she also knew all the trivia and other events I referred to...! Lol so I asked her and we all laughed. I guess they're very similar in their events, plans, and even how the buildings look! Super cool to have both in the area. I was so confused how I hadn't seen this place on Yelp then... well, turns out they didn't have one! So no wonder I didn't know lol. So I made one lol. We'll still try the brewery soon, but we're stoked to find this place! Very sleek and trendy setting, decorated so nicely, nice modern and clean bathrooms, very friendly and fun staff, distilled in house whiskeys, and gin. Charcuterie board and snacks on the menu (they were out of the boards that day). A store front in the back, and the distillery you can see through the window. Tours coming soon for it too. And they're fixing up the outside space even more. It looks like a fantastic space, family friendly, plans to have more events and fun things. We can't wait to go back! And I'll definitely try some cocktails next time and hope for more food too! Keep the new, fun spots in the mountains, coming! read more

With service as warm as the chilled mountain air the bourbon "is not too shabby" and the Seasonal Offerings are lacking in taste unless you are the Grinch. The boujee atmosphere caters to the missing high end spenders and should you desire a charcuterie under the small plates menu item cross your fingers and hope the "person" that makes all of it is in town otherwise like us you are out of luck. Big Creek Distilling Co. has potential but also has work to do. 3 seasonal offering drinks about $37 seasonal price. read more
