I highly discourage anyone from supporting this location of Big City Chicken (I'm going to hope the other locations aren't as bad as this one.) I am so disappointed. I spent $18.32 to try this blasé chicken that wasn't even cooked to order. It was sitting premade in a box with fries, and the guy who took my order looked and acted like he'd rather be anywhere than working at a chain restaurant in Midway International Airport in Chicago, Illinois. I got the Nashville Hot which comes with coleslaw. To be honest the sandwich was kind of dry. I would have gotten extra sauce. Fries were okay. Service was Ok. Usually there is a long wait in line. So I rolled the dice to come here for a quick bite for my layover and overall, I felt ripped off after eating my chicken and egg sandwich. First, there's a dedicated line for those paying cash or airline employees. I went to that line and at the front I was told they are only doing kiosk and card payments. So I go to the other line and use the relatively easy touch screens, avoiding the almost $6 tater tots and other add-ons. Turned out that my single sandwich with tax was an astounding $15.63. Definitely not worth the price. I originally misread that it was $3.99 which would have been a good deal, not $13.99. There were a lot of people in line and the wait for me to get the sandwich was short. There were at least two employees in the kitchen that I saw. The sandwich itself was meh. Wasn't bad, but wasn't good, either. I got through it and some of the chicken was tough. Roll was ok, eggs were cooked. I'd probably take another shot at Big City Chicken, but be more aware of what to expect. Should've paid more attention to your Yelp reviews! And for most of what's available here in the Chicago Airport Terminal, nothing seems to be that great based on your reviews so maybe I did luck out. read more

This place is small. You place the order on a kiosk. The food seems like it was made to order but it wasn't. The chicken was hard and dry the fries was salty and warm. I didn't take the food back because I was getting on the plane back to Philly. And the pictures that displayed around the store looks delicious. But what you receive isn't what you got the taste, the look, the temperature, and the chicken was very dry and hard. Their fries was real salty. The staff was nice and helpful. I believe if the food wasn't so salty and fresh it would've been so delicious. They did not have anyone taking orders at the counter and only offered self-serve kiosks (2). There were several people waiting and several in line, so I thought this may be a "winner-winner, chicken dinner." Sadly, it wasn't. The fries were cold, and the sandwich was far from being worth the price paid and only lukewarm. When I got my food, I asked for the fountain soda drink. The person looked at me and pointed to a cooler, and said all drinks come from there. There was a fountain soda machine right behind him at the counter, so I pointed to that machine and said, "What about getting what I ordered from there?" Never had I ever had a sandwich that was so bad that it made me wish I could be Ray J for a day, and have "One Wish"... Any time I'm passing through the Midway airport, Big City Chicken has become my go-to spot to grab food to-go before my flight. As others have noted, there is limited interactions with employees as you place your order through a self-service kiosk or mobile order. You grab your drinks from the drink fridge and then wait for your name to be called. On my recent stop, I will say lines were waaaaaay longer than usual (there's usually always a bit of a line) and at one point 3 minutes after I ordered, staff called out it would be a 30 minute wait for food. I ended up waiting for my order for about 15 minutes before being called. In this time I saw A LOT of disgruntled customers that had been waiting for quite some time, had incorrect orders, and one poor customer who didn't speak much English try to comprehend why staff was giving her items she didn't order because they were out of her selections (they were a bit more of a hot mess than usual) For me though - I always order the chicken tenders with waffle fries which so far has always been a safe choice. Located in the B concourse at Chicago Midway. The service is via kiosk. There are no tables or counter space. You grab your meal and go. They offer a variety of chicken sandwiches and chicken tenders and sauce. I went with a regular chicken sandwich. The piece of Cho on my sandwich was basically a large chicken tender that was dry and hard. The sauce was slopped on the bun. The only redeeming thing were the waffle fries and sauce. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and it came with cris cut waffle fries. The fries are deeply fried and have some flavoring on them but pretty good with ketchup so done forget to get some!
