A gf and I went shopping at Ridgedale and since she's vegan, it's harder to dine together. Luckily, she was able to find something on the menu! Service: The pregnant hostess was sooo sweet and friendly. We thought she was cute and carried so well. I'm sure her baby is born now; congrats to her! However, the real MVP was our server; who was awesome. She was young, friendly, professional and personable. Some young ppl have personable demeanor, but lack some of the professionalism. She had the perfect mix. Food: I had chicken pad thai and my gf had something with vegetables. LOL We both enjoyed our meal. Ambiance: Busy and has withstood the test of time. Terrible service. Ordered lunch and had it delivered because it's a busy work day. Order showed up with only half my food. It took so long to reach a manager at the restaurant to credit me for the missing food that I had no time to eat lunch. I spent almost $50 for an incomplete order that I can't even eat. Instead, I head over to the nearest upscale grocery store, Byerely's, and stand in line with upper to uber-upper middle class folks sampling the "exotic" Chinese food. Reason: the service is FAST, the food is actually good, the servers are friendly and the manager is always welcoming. Have been here many times and the food has always been delicious! Highly recommend the wontons, kung pao beef, chicken satay and the pad thai. Only problem with the place is that it can get very loud, but it doesn't bother me personally all that much. read more

Not impressed with the quality of the food here. Been to Sears buy some Tools during lunch hour, dropped by for a quick pick up. Being a vegetarian - ordered a Vegetarian Fried Rice with Tofu. The fried tofu was too oily with bubbles filled with oil - there goes my protein - Still tried 2 cubes and find that it is not spiced right and not flavorful. Then I start to dig into the rice - Again there is nothing asian to it - just seemed like bland rice with a very few veggies thrown into it. Worst part was finding eggs in your vegetarian food - I am not that picky, so ended up separating them out and finishing them up. I would have given 1 star, but the service was good so giving it an extra star. I would avoid this place and instead go to Pei Wei for the best Asian food. read more

Our server Gwen was phenomenal! She knew the menu extremely well and guided us newbies in the right direction for what we were in the mood for! She was extremely friendly and made us feel cared for and at home. She also had a very good sense of humor! She made us feel like friends, not just guests. The food was hot and delicious. I had the orange chicken. The sauce in the dishes were just the right amount. I didn't need more sauce and I didn't need less! The spice level was perfect. The chicken was well cooked as well. I also had the chocolate which was perfectly moist and rich. The ice cream with caramel and chocolate syrup made it all the better. The manager Ben was exquisite! He made sure we were well accommodated. He made sure that the food was too our liking, as well as the service. He was also very friendly and charming! The guy working behind the counter is rude. We have gone here multiple times and have asked him to prepare the sesame chicken plain. You would think the world just ended. Very, very rude. We probably have done this 18 times in the last 4 months (I know, we eat out too much). Today was the last day. He snapped at us and said the kitchen is closed. Enough is enough. The food isn't that good to be treated like that. Cya Big Bowl-lots of other places in this area that will gladly take our money. I had lunch at Big Bowl today. Very good service. The kitchen mixed up my order with an incorrect sauce, but my server - Gwen noticed it before she set it down in front of me. They (Gwen and Tim, the manger) quick resolved the issue. My corrected order arrived nice and hot. Also for the inconvenience they didn't charge me for my potstickers (which I did not ask for them to do). Good job on the customer service! read more

The quality of food here is absolutely miserable. The soft noodles are dried and hardened from poor preparation. The food is all medium grade before being mangled by the prep process. The check-out at the Byerly-Lunds it's located in ranges from incompetent to lazy. They spent a fair amount of money trying to upgrade this store after Whole Foods opened, but it still feels dreary. There's better cheap Chinese options. Avoid. read more
