This was my late dad's favorite place to get steak and cheese subs. Every now and then when Im missing him, I'll buy a sub to give as an offering for prayer . Their classic steak and cheese is delicious, but I love the steak and mushroom. You can 'edit' the sub any way you like, light lettuce, extra tomato, double meat : whatever you want, you got it! The bread always tastes fresh and the meat is packed in full. The sub is delicious eaten right away, but also still good an hour later or air fried for lunch the next day. You can get their sub combo for $14 which comes with fries (or UTZ chips) and a drink of choice, plus a pickle stick. Service: 5/5 : the owner (i think) is always there and super friendly; recently i had ordered a pick up order but their delivery driver mistakenly took it; he called her to come back right away and offered me a complimentary drink for the trouble. Ambiance: they have a few seats at their window counter; its mainly a togo/ grab n go shop so i wouldnt recommend eating there but i guess you could! --Definitely recommend checking out big bite for their steak and cheese! read more

Pizza isn't bad, it's actually good but what u don't like nor appreciate is that almost every time I order a pizza from here who ever is cutting my pizza NEVER and I repeat NEVER wears gloves! I've spoken up about this multiple times and yet still they never put on goddamn gloves. As someone who appreciates a good pizza I'd appreciate the service so much more if whoever is MAKING and CUTTING the pizza I'm paying for wears gloves! I mean I think that's standard protocol and just sanitary. At this point it'll be a while until I go back but the next time I go back will be the last if you guys don't fix this. I've been ordering from Big Bite Pizza for 10+ years. I haven't had a single bad experience, and EVERYTHING on their menu is DELICIOUS. I highly recommend their wings (their ranch is AMAZING), any of their pizzas (the 2-slice appetizer is more like 4 slices), potato skins, jalapeño poppers, steak & cheese sub, BLT sub, chicken parm pasta & sub... basically their entire menu!! read more

It's a pizza and wing spot, nothing fancy. In fact the outside looks rundown and the inside doesn't look much better, that said, the food is just good! The pizza has a nice taste, nice cheese/sauce ratio and doesn't taste fake like most chain spots. The wings are good and flavorful, I only get buffalo and they will cook them hard if that's your preference which is nice if you like that crunch effect. Well, this place went downhill. We have been ordering from her for years. This time we got potato skins that smelled awful when we opened the box. Turns out rotten water had dropped on top of the sour cream lid. The house salad I have ordered fifty times was covered in frozen slimy cucumber, unripened green, yellow barely red tomato; and the lettuce was soaking wet. You know what you do when you don't have a quality product to sell: YOU DON'T SELL IT TO PEOPLE!! My husband returned the two items only to have the same issue with the sour cream on the reorder. The owner tried to play it off that we were just smelling smoke off the bacon AFTER he admitted rotten water had dropped on sour cream cups. BS!!! This was rotten stank water, not smoke. He knew the water dripped on the lid, and then tried to avoid responsibility by blaming us. We will NEVER return here. Everyone stay away. The quality is gone. The reputation is spoiled. At a glance Big Bite pizza on Columbia Pike may just seem like that hole in the wall pizza joint. Year after year I realize it so much more than that, I was pleased to learn the 30 year old eatery makes all its own dough and sauces from scratch. My current go-tos are the cheese pizza with barbecue chicken and the Philly steak and cheese with jalapeños. Also best buffalo chicken wings. read more

I never have too much of an issue with my food. But this right here is down right pathetic. I decided to order me a sub, chose what type and how I wanted it. But being hungry as I was I ate one half of the sub and just looked at the other side all weird. The other half of sub had caked on cheese not even melted just slices of cold unrelated cheese lime the cook just say screw it. So I called the location and asked for manager but was informed the manager wasn't in, so I explained the situation to the guy who answered and told him with my sub looked like and how none of the cheese was melted. I tried their pizza at a party and found the location & am hooked! The stretchy cheese is Perfect to me and sometimes a crushed tomato can be seen in their genuinely homemade tomato sauce. They were reliable when I ordered 3 pizzas for my daughter's birthday and every week the pizza is ready when they say it Will be. My coworker just introduced me to this place, as we work in Annandale and are always looking for delivery options. I am SO glad that she showed me this gem! I had the chicken souvlaki pita and it was wonderful. I haven't had souvlaki in years and have been craving it, and they made it wonderfully. First off, I ordered through the online service and they offer combos, I modified and substituted American Cheese for Provolone on my Philly Steak combo that includes chip, and 12 oz drink/brownie. __ Cheesesteak and fries were extremely soggy, and I could barely even taste cheese on a 'Cheesteak.' Sometimes when I get the munchies at night, it's because I'm studying, doing work, or possibly watching TV/playing games that may obstruct hearing the front door knocking when I'm in my room. This is my usual wings spot. Normally great wings and the blue cheese is premo. They also have a full pizza, pasta and random thinks like tacos. The only knock I can say is in consistency. I get wings twice or three times a month. When I want wings I want big bite wings, but some times the taste, and flavor lacks due to either preparation or quality. Best pizza in Northern Virginia. Don't bother with the sandwiches or other stuff (they have a big, varied menu). Get yourself a XL Trio pizza (sausage, pepperoni, and mushrooms) and some jalepeno poppers. Order some extra blue cheese. Their blue cheese dressing is like crack. I think they put some ranch in there or something. Big Bite's wings are excellent, too. Prices are high for pizza, but delivery is pretty fast and you can order online, which I always love. When we've ordered by phone from the Alexandria store and they are always so rude. They are constantly raising prices, so don't believe what the menu says. Under new management, this fixture of Annandale is now in decline. The food has always been what you would expect from a pizza delivery, sometimes a bit more greasy and always hitting the spot. But things have changed! The menu used to offer 10-wings and medium one-topping pizza for a discounted price. An alternative was 20-wings and medium one-topping pizza. Both good deals. New management has reduced the number of wings to 8 and 16 respectively while increasing the pricing over-all. Another example of how the new management has been stingy is your typical pepperoni pizza seems to have the pepperoni slices counted out. I've even ordered the double pepperoni and it didn't even come close to the original pie. This is a pizzeria in decline and if the above examples don't convince you, how about the fact they are now charging a $2.00 delivery!! Really? I like to tip my delivery people well, but with that charge I would not feel so obliged. So what? Stiff the delivery guy? I'm officially done with Big Bite Pizza. Really doesn't look like much and it's located right next to Domino's and across the street from Pizza Hut, so you could easily pass this place by for a taste that you know.
