The food was packed in a substantial container and traveled well. The high point was the chicken. I think mild would be fine for most people. There was some heat from the cayenne pepper, nicely balanced by the brown sugar. The medium spicy tender had a bit more cayenne and was also good. Both spicynesses allowed the flavor of the chicken to poke through. Any spicier and I think the only flavor notes would be the pepper. I recently had some hot chicken from The Red Bird (in Vienna) and like Dave's chicken better. The flavors were better balanced, and unlike Red Bird, Dave's managed to keep the coating from separating from the chicken. However, I liked the fries at Red Bird better because they were a bit crispier on the outside.

After ordering, we waited 15-20 minutes for our food. The dining area wasn't much better. The tables, floors, and overall restaurant were noticeably dirty, our table wobbled the entire meal, and there weren't any forks available when our food was served. However, despite those issues, the food itself was exactly what we've come to expect from Jollibee. Everything was served fresh, hot, and tasted great. That's the main reason we keep coming back.
