A large screen for sports games enhances the cozy pub atmosphere. A friend recommended this place, and our gathering there turned out to be fantastic. We tasted many dishes that were not only delicious--better than those in many Korean spots across the DMV area--but also served in generous portions. We couldn't finish everything, so we had to take some home. The staff was friendly and genuinely hospitable. Though the location is a bit farther from downtown Annandale, it's definitely worth the trip for the tasty Korean chicken, other flavorful dishes, and hearty servings. I highly recommend this restaurant--it's well worth a visit! The food we sampled was excellent, and I highly recommend it! - Seafood Scallion Pancake: Generous portions and a thick pancake loaded with seafood, unlike the flour-heavy pancakes at some other places. Served hot, it was delicious and filling. - Fire Mussels: A shareable appetizer featuring four baked mussels with a smoky flavor. - Army Stew: Served on a hot burner to keep it bubbling, this spicy stew includes ramen noodles, tofu, scallions, sausage, and cheddar cheese in a fiery broth--perfect for chilly, rainy fall days. - Spicy Whelk Salad with Thin Noodles (Gol-baeng-yi Somyun): Ideal pub fare to enjoy with soju. Large enough to share, it comes with julienned vegetables for crunch and freshness, plus a light, spicy sauce made from Gochujang (Korean chili paste), gochugaru (chili flakes), vinegar, sugar, and sesame oil, tossed with cold, thin noodles. A Korean noodle salad that hits the perfect balance of sweetness and spice. This restaurant is renowned for its Korean-style fried chicken, and we ordered some--exceptional: crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside, a clear sign they used fresh chicken. - Pa-Dak, a popular Korean boneless chicken dish topped with green onions and served with a flavorful dressing, was just as good as the ones you'd see in KTV shows. - The soy-and-spicy wings featured a soy-based glaze with a well-balanced sweetness and a hint of savory soy. Meanwhile, the spicy version delivered a fiery, sweet kick--quite a departure from the usual gochujang-based sauces--and perfectly complemented the ultra-crispy coating. - Gochujang-seasoned chicken, or Yang Nyeom Chicken, was perfectly fried and coated in a sweet and spicy sauce that was finger-licking good!

They had different genres of music playing. Careless Whisper was playing during my visit. I love that song! They cook to order so that's always a good sign. The chicken came out a little over done and the skin wasn't crispy. I doused it with Old Bay and Bleu Cheese dipping sauce. Not worth a return visit.

Breading and frying the chicken & fries. Hot and fresh. They also check the temp of tenders for doneness. They dip the chicken, then they dust it. Comes with their Crimson sauce as well as ranch. The chicken was hot & juicy. The hot was spicy. Fries were hot and crispy. Ranch was good. Sauce was good. Only negatives were the pickles could have been thicker cut and fresher as well as the slaw. Slaw was vinegar based and wilted. Crunch & crispiness wasn't present. Food was on par with Daves and Canes. Maybe better in quality and price. I wished slaw came with meal. They played country music over the speakers so that's a big plus for me. Is it as good as Dave's or Cane's? My son says yes. I say maybe?

We usually sit at the bar and food and service is consistently good. They no longer have daily specials but the Trifecta options that include a soup/salad and soft drink are a great value. My companion had the burger with a side Caesar that he shared with me. It was a good start, a basic Caesar with chopped lettuce and Parmesan and croutons. He had a few issues with the burger with the meat sitting on top of the lettuce, pickles and onion rather than the reverse but he dealt with it. And we both enjoyed the seasoned fries. I followed up with the dry rub bone-in wings. They were meaty and served up hot and fresh. The wings are a favorite and always good. The salt and pepper grinders are a noticeable and welcome detail, not common in any restaurant. The TVs always have a variety of games so there's something for everyone. There was even Scooby Doo on one of the screens for those fans. This is one of our go-to spots for the food, quality, service and reasonable prices. We frequented the location on Duke Street until it closed and are happy this location is nearby so we can continue to visit on a regular basis.

The inside isn't much to write about, a typical sports bar but extremely clean. But let's get into the goods! Our waitress was this small in stature Hispanic lady. I unfortunately can't remember her name but she was so sweet and attentive! We got there right as their happy hour deal was ending and she asked the manager if we could put one order of drinks in and still receive the deal. She also brought a sample basket of the appetizers to our table since we were first timers. A restaurant that knows how to treat their customers! The basket came with their boneless, traditional wings, pretzels, and Mac and cheese bites. The pretzel bites?! Fresh and perfectly soft inside but crunchy outside. And I normally hate pretzels because they can be dry. Same story with the Mac and cheese bites. Every bite of the basket grew my excitement for our main course. Every single item was delicious!! We literally paused after the first samples in genuine happiness. For national wings day, they had a $16 endless jumbo wings deal. We added endless fries which was an extra $3. We got the traditional and dry rub wings. They have a variety of sauces. For the dry rub, the put the sauce on the side and the traditional is mixed with the sauce. The dry rub by itself, sans sauce, is stellar. I honestly could've kept eating it just as is. The traditional was also really good but there's just something about the dry rub. The sauces we tried were all really good but I wasn't a fan of the teriyaki. By the end of the night, our bellies were overly full and ready to combust but truly some of the best wings and customer service I've had. Afterwards, we had to go for a walk in the parking lot to try and walk off some of the food. I will forever give praise to this restaurant. I came in not expecting much but was genuinely blown away. And also want to shout out the lovely black woman who brought out our food and assisted our waitress. Stellar service and food all around.

Yes folks, Kentucky Fried Chicken tastes great, but the 1980's commercials are hard to watch now...with the exception of The Lisa Benachanko ad where she is getting her first taste of America. It has been a while since I stopped by KFC or Kentucky Fried Chicken and had the Colonial's chicken. So on 2/17/22 I drove on down to Kentucky Fried Chicken to order The Famous Bowl. The Famous Bowl from what I remembered have goes as followed. Mash potatoes, gravy, mixed shredded cheese, small chicken pieces and corn. My order had everything but the shredded cheese. Oh, boy. You made a big mistake...this brother lives his cheese and to not have it in the order...I hear Vice McMahon and Donald Trump saying "YOU'RE FIRED." Personally, Vice did a better job at that little speech, but I digress. Luckily I had shredded cheese at home, but if I order another Famous Bowl from Kentucky Fried Chicken, I wanna see cheese in this order along with everything else that is supposed to be in the order. Speaking of order, the last time I got this Famous Bowl, getting it as a meal wasn't an option. You also did not have the option of a Spicy Famous Bowl from Kentucky Fried Chicken. I am not into spicy food so I will miss out on this option. When you buy the Famous Bowl from Meal Kentucky Fried Chicken, you get a drink and chocolate chip cookie. Yes, you can forget about what Limp Bizkit said about the cookie...no sir, you can't change the flavor of this cookie. It like asking someone in prison... "You gonna eat your cornbread.?...consequences and repercussions." I hope the next time I am here, the end results are better. The food was delicious, but the order was incomplete. Let's get it right next time.
