There is no parking. There are 3 spaces on the side but those are taken up by the apartment residents and there is about 1 parallel parking spot out front of the pizza paylor and that is it. Great pizza! We really like everything we have tried from here including pizzas, calzones, subs and pasta. Their pizza sauce has a good flavor to it and their crust thinness is just perfect. My kids love their chicken, broccoli ziti with Alfredo sauce - it's not fancy or really great Alfredo sauce but it is good. My favorite is the Big Mac pizza or the chicken bacon ranch wrap. Your average town pizza spot. Great subs made to a crispy delight, but when it comes to pizza they need a reboot their process. They also use actual fried chicken breast which is a plus! Not tenders, which a lot of places do to avoid more work. The pizza sauce taste bland, needs a little bit more flavor. And the dough needs to go (no pun intended). I didn't forget your kindness, Sal. I'm leaving this review to talk about the exceptional service and duty that Sal serves with his pizza. Months ago, maybe October 2017, I had passed by the store a few times. My spouse and I decided: today was the day to try their pizza. We didn't have a menu, but we are vegetarians. So, we decided to call Big Al's and order a large vegetarian. What we got, however, disappointed us. No, not because the pizza was bad, but because a few things we need and expect from pizza were missing. Namely, the crust. The bottom of the crust was so soft that my spouse wasn't able to have more than a slice. (She was starving so it wasn't like we felt like we had an option.) I think I understood why, and this is an appealing note: there's a ton of toppings on this pizza. Not so much that you might actually want less, but one of the toppings was breaded, fried Eggplant. Thank goodness-that'd be the only way I'd eat it! :) But my spouse wasn't expecting it either, and there were a few more details I can't recall leaving us dissatisfied. So I am perplexed. What does "Big Al" think about his pizza? Does he take Pizza Feedback? I'm not used to anybody having a 'money back guarantee,' or a 'replacement plan.' I wasn't sure what to do, and decided to call up to tell them this wasn't a complaint, but a concern. The woman who took my call was very concerned as well. I think the owner might have been listening, and deciding what to do. I don't think people ever call back pizza places to tell them that they want the place to serve pizza as a different style. She didn't know what I wanted, and me neither. I mean, I paid for this pizza, what more could I do? The owner went out of his way to make it right. He offered a replacement--cooked longer, with no eggplants, and for free--as long as I paid the delivery fee again. (I think there was, at least?). I was more than willing to do this, since he was willing to make an effort to keep us as customers. The person who took my call showed up later, took our old pizza, and delivered the new one. She and I had the same idea: to try it in front of her. The crust was cooked a lot closer to my liking without going all the way to 'thin crust' crazy. :) I was happy, and I was very grateful. I left her a tip with the delivery and told myself I'd leave a review. And here we are, half a year later. I'm grateful Big Al's is still around, because I'm sure other people are finding the same dedication to their customer's experience as I did. A bit off the beaten path, but well worth finding. My friend has been raving about them for a while now, I decided to check it out for myself as I was in the area and looking for something to eat. To be honest, it looked OK as I drove up, though nothing special. I walked in and was happy I did. The inside was immaculate and inviting. The dining room was clean and fairly large. While we were there, there was a steady stream of customers, which is always a good sign. I chose a Chicken Parmesan sandwich that didn't disappoint. Toasted just right plus the chicken was both tender and juicy. I was quite happy with my choice. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this establishment. read more

Placed an order online and it said it would be ready by approx. 7:30. I called twice to check the status and the front desk just puts you on hold and walks away. You can hear the staff talking a amongst themselves. When I hung up to call again because perhaps she forgot I was on hold (easy mistake, we are humans still) it took MANY times to get through Bc I kept getting a busy signal. Dear Big Al, I am an honorable and loyal patron, and that is why I am writing this. This message is a plead. I consistently order your chicken Caesar wrap, and it is consistently prepared inconsistently. On the best days it is full of tender chicken meat, mixed well with Caesar dressing and fresh romaine lettuce. The wrap is heavy and soul satisfying. However, every other time I order the wrap it is light, and filled with dry romaine and croutons. The chicken that is there is full of cartilage. I am not telling you this to be a jerk, or funny. This is a hidden gem among the many mediocre pizza joints in the area. The food always tastes fresh and the inside of the place is immaculate and inviting. It instills the confidence that your food is prepared under clean, sanitary conditions. The neighborhood is a bit seedy, but don't let that stop you from stopping in. Their pizza pies are fantastic! Not like the typical Greek-owned pizza places that dominate the area, but more like authentic Italian-style pizza you would get in the North End of Boston. We use to order from Big Al's all the time but the last 6 months it take up to 2 hours to get your food, to make matters worse, the order is usually wrong or stuff is missing. We have stopped ordering from there, we have had enough of the wrong orders and 2 hour wait times. Never have I experienced delivery that takes so long...every time. Just waited two hours for two sandwiches and fries. Only to get fries that are burnt and cold. Literally just threw them directly in the trash. Not the first time I've gotten inedible food. I also write delivery instructions that has never once been read, goes to the wrong place every time. I have ordered from Big Al's delivery a lot over the last few months and have never had a complaint, the food wasn't the best, but there aren't many good options in this area as it is. However, the one time we called to have an issue with our order fixed, we legitimately got yelled at by the person that answered the phone. When you order a turkey and bacon wrap and select what you want on it, and they add Italian dressing, which the person eating the wrap didn't want and doesn't like, I think its safe to say, you should just fix the mistake and move on. At an hour and a half i called to check the status of my order. I was then informed it hadn't even left the kitchen. One of my favorite things is the kitchen sink pizza which has a variety of toppings and is always fresh. I was once a loyal patron who recently ordered a seafood dinner for take out that was undercooked and the small amount I consumed made me sick. My wife called the manager who stated he would take care of us the next time we ordered. We called to find out we receiv d a credit of $10 of the $20 because the "coleslaw and fries were good"! Have been a BIG fan of this place for years. We race in Thompson Ct during the summer. Went there a few months ago and the Big Mac Pizza wasn't the same way to much sauce, overpowering the flavor of the other toppings. This past weekend we ordered two of our favorites, Big mac and Steak and Cheese. Huge disappointment... Tomato sauce on a steak and cheese.. You have to understand the original tasted just like a steak and cheese sub, it was amazing. I was talking to someone and mentioned this and was told the original Big Al is gone. So sad.. New owners if you think changing a great thing is good , YOUR WRONG!!!... Your ego is going to cost you a lot of money.. Your pizza is not great, it is typical.
