This was hands down the worst choice last night. We entered the restaurant, and it seemed like it just catered to a biker crowd so that should have been our sign to leave. We went out back to get water view seats on their back porch since inside was so uninviting. After we sat down, we were engulfed by the stench of pot smoke pot emanating from a customer and her daughter. To be honest, I think it was the mother as she was the one that was loud, embarrassing and laughing like a drunk teenage girl. The menu offered only appetizer types of food, so we opted for nachos because they were "out" of our two other choices. The place looked rundown and dingy both inside and out and seemingly barely making it. Outside had not seen paint in years! I did not dare use the bathroom. Our nachos came out with hardly any cheese and what was there was not melted once you moved a chip. The chili on top of the nachos was just a tomato sauce with some beans in it. The waitress was nice so we just picked at our nachos barely touching them. I usually send gross food back but I just wanted to get away from the stench. This place is truly an embarrassment and needs a severe makover of both the building and the food. What a shame this waterfront property is such a dump with lousy food. I guess if you are only serving beer to bikers and crap food to stoners it found its niche. read more

I hadn't been to Waterfront Mary's in over 40 years... back when Mary was alive and it was a popular watering hole amongst the young. We were free one weekday afternoon so we decided to stop in for drinks and a bite to eat. The only thing it has going for it is the outside seating and the view. They have a small beer menu and I had a frozen Bushwacker that tasted mostly ice. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and I've had better pizza from the frozen food section of the grocery store. read more

Probably aligned with the rest of the reviews, - the place is right on the lake, which is gorgeous! - food was ok minus (reasonable pizza for a place like that, lame salad, crispy fish but soggy chips). - service was the worst you can imagine. They wouldn't give us water and only sell overpriced 0.5L (we came by bicycle), pizza arrived quickly, but the rest of the order took another 1.5(!) hours to arrive. When it did arrive, the fish and chips didn't have tartar slice nor lemon (which are described in the menu as part of the dish lol). Conclusion: get a frozen margarita and eat somewhere else... read more

They did not carry Many items as it was "end of the season". Was unaware that Bombay Sapphire and Lettuce were seasonal items, but perhaps I'm mistaken. Great area tremendous potential. read more

This restaurant (aka watering hole) is located on a beautiful spot on Lake Webster at the northern end of the main pond. It has a two start Yelp rating, but on this glorious, sunny, April day I was hungry and I cruised over to one of their docks and grabbed a table on their deck. They were playing some classic rock, at a reasonable volume level. At night, they can turn up the volume. My waitress quickly took my order, a Cheeseburger with the fixings on the side, and French Fries. They have a beautiful view of the lake, and offer both sun and shade from their tables. The deck offers only metal stools, sturdy yes, comfortable, not especially. A short ten minutes or so later, my Cheeseburger and Fries arrived. My initial reaction was that the burger looked good, thick, with two slices of American cheese, and not overcooked. The French Fries however, looked wet and soggy. Sure enough, I picked one up, and it was cool, soaked, and sad. Were the French Fries crying? I'm not sure, but eating them would make me cry. Conversely, the burger was great, hot, tasty and cooked nicely. My waitress was excellent, she stopped by took away the fries and removed them from the bill. She was friendly and prompt throughout my lunch. So, good service, good burger, great view and terrible fries. Overall three stars on this visit. read more

Our server Jackie was host, server and bartender seems the others got up a little late probably due to a late 4th of July The best frozen strawberry mudslide I've ever had in my 40 of sampling. No. No no no. We went because we thought someone we knew would be playing music there. We ordered 2 margaritas - I think they were made with the powdered drink packets because there was some powdery foam floating on them. My husband won the lottery and found three dead ants in his. We tried to flag down the waitress few times, but eventually decided it wasn't worth it because they really were not good anyway. Almost no flavor, even with the ants. We also ordered 2 appetizers: a Nacho Grade and Potato Skins. You wouldn't think they could mess them up, but they were not good. They tasted like something a teenager would make if they were hungry. The nachos had canned chili, not enough cheese, big squares of cut lettuce instead of shredded, hunks of tomatoes. Not easy to eat. Potato skins were edible, but that's it. We asked for plates and silverware and got 2 plates and a fork & knife to share. We had to ask again for another set of silverware. Ends up, there was a miscommunication and it wasn't the musicians we went to see so we escaped early. Beautiful view. Waitress was really friendly. I knew we were in trouble when a bar 45 minutes from Fenway does not have Sam Adams on tap or in the bottle and the bartender addresses me twice in her first 2 sentences using the word f*** and f***ing. The beer selection in general was IMO, at best, lousy! As a very young man I would come here with friends and have beers and talk to Mary for hours. The original "Waterfront Mary" must, indeed, be rolling over in her grave. I haven't been here in awhile because the previous owner was a bit erratic. i really wanted to love it here and the news of a new owner had my hopes up. The menu is small and uninspired. Actually, downright boring. If your not a regular don't expect to get decent service at the bar. We had a cheese pizza - free form thin crust, one size, overpriced for what you get, tasteless and was served to my companion 10 minutes before my entree. I had fish and chips for $17. Mostly batter, cold in the center with soggy fries and awful coleslaw. If not for the location this place should have closed in a week. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Prefacing this with the fact that I am and have been a trainer in the service industry for 20 years. I didn't expect much but this place really knows how to create an abomination from the most basic food. Not sure if the service or the food was worse. Came in around 2 on a Saturday. No one greeted us until we were all the way down the stairs (no guidance or signs anywhere) a waitress asked if we wanted to sit outside, shoved the menus into my hands and told us to go sit wherever and someone would help us. There was two tables sitting outside who already had drinks. Same girl who gave us the menus walked by us three times without saying a word. When she finally came over, we ordered one mixed drink, two iced tea and a water. We were very nice and she said she would be right back with the drinks. 10 minutes goes by and she comes back with the mixed drink and two iced teas, no water. We remind her politely of the water and she snaps back that she knows, and she will bring it. She walks away, walks by to her other table, few more times, no water. At this point, the ice teas are empty and she's walked by a handful more times. She finally notices that the ice teas are empty and ask if we want refills, still no water. we ordered nachos, chicken tenders, and tater tots. The fact that the only decent thing was the deep-fried tater tots that required literally no work from the kitchen should say it all. The nachos looked like a half blind teenager put them together. Four tenders? FOUR? FROZEN TENDERS. We asked the girl one more time for the water, and it finally came. 10 minutes after that she came by and dropped the receipt because "she had other tables coming in and she was going to be busy". Finishing our experience wasn't something that she planned on doing! I'm not sure what these servers or this establishment thinks, but you make your money on good quality, food, and good quality service. We had better food at the carnival down the street. Never going back to this place. I'll start by saying that we did go on the late side (9 pm on a friday) so we weren't all that surprised when the waitress said the kitchen was closed. No worries! We ordered drinks. Then she came back saying "that other table is getting food because they ordered a while ago but if you want we can make something for you". My friend ordered chicken tenders and fries. The chicken was RAW on the inside. When she went to complain, they said they would give her an extra order of fries. They compted the chicken off the bill but she paid for the 2 orders of fries. WTF? After that, as we were paying, the waitress comes over and says: I would say next time come in earlier and the food is better. While she said it in a nice way this doesn't dispute the fact that you are a food restaurant. Regardless of the time, you need to cook the food properly! On top of all that, we found out later that this place has been shut down multiple times for food violations. They get shut down 2x a year at least! The owners never learn from their mistakes. SMH. First time my wife and I went to your establishment. We ordered pina coladas not frozen . They dumped the island oasis mix in a cup and it was thick and way too sweet. Not worth 13 bucks. I ordered chili dogs . The chili was gross and not tasty, they put maybe area spoon under the dog and a very very light amount of cheese under the dog. The roll wasn't toasted. My wife ordered chicken cutlet wrap she said it wasn't tasty at all. Please look into your food service for the quality of food and how it is presented. I am a chef and always taste the foods and ask my servers what do they think of my food. People always walk away from a restaurant always remembering the taste . You failed in my book. read more

Went there 5:00 on a Sunday with another couple for apps and a couple beers. The poor waiter, only second day on the job, started with the only food available was pizza....OK. We asked for four Bud Lights. The waiter apologized and said they were out. We then asked for Coors Lights. Once again the poor waiter told us they were out. He went on to tell us they only had Heineken and maybe a couple Coronas. We decided to go to another restaurant that had food and beer. I went yesterday afternoon for the first time this year. I would go more often, but it's around 50 miles from where I live. My friend and I ordered a few food dishes and they were noticeably better than the previous time. It's standard bar fare and it's nothing fancy, but when you're having a few drinks, it definitely satisfies the palate. Would I go there exclusively to eat? No, but when you take into consideration all the other positive aspects of this venue, it makes for an enjoyable experience. read more

We really wanted to like this place with new owners. We are local people. They have a presence on FB and it sounded so great. There's a radio ad saying they have bacon wrapped scallops, fish and chips and a few other things. We went on a Thursday evening. The sign on the door said "closed" but they were obviously open. We should have turned away then. The menu was very limited and there were no scallops or fish. There was no "soup of the day". Seating was a banquet table (like the extra table you have for parties) with a black tablecloth. My partner had the pork slides. And that's what came on his plate. Three pork slides. I had a hamburger with cheese. The food was so sadly presented. One of us got a bag of chips. There was no iced tea. Limited beer selection. The waitress was new and just lovely. I felt bad for her. This place needs a lot of work if they are going to make it through the winter. It is still just a summer bar for the lake people, not a nice restaurant. read more

Mid-Kayak lunch break. We were able to pull right up on shore and sit on their waterside deck under a well deserved Budweiser umbrella. The service was okay. Drinks were promptly addressed and brought to the table, except when ordering, we kept hearing, "...sorry we are out of that." "That" being: Lemonade, Iced Tea, and Iced Coffee. STRIKE 1! Fine water and a beer. Evidently, beer is the number libation served, so there was plenty of "that" and water. Mary's serves a number of domestics in bottle and on tap, but it's not a first choice of mine when I'm only at the half way mark in a kayak. Food service: We kept it simple, Grilled Chicken Breast sandwich and a Midwestern Sandwich, being pulled pork, grilled (canned) pineapple, and lettuce. Both served with bag of Utz brand potato chips. Well, were heard something similar when the server returned to the table. "Your order will take up to 45 minutes. Are you okay waiting?" STRIKE 2!! We switched up for 2 orders of the Double Hot Dog & Utz being reassured much less time. Forty-five minutes later, the Double Dogs were served with their guaranteed Utz Chips. Of course no napkins or utensils. STRIKE 3!!! Their only saving grace, the view, the beer, and the Utz. The Hotdogs were okay, too. read more

I'd give her zero reviews if that was an opportunity. Two weeks in a row she hasn't had the availability to make pizza. Last week was because she ran out of pizza sauce. She offered a free cheese pizza and didn't honor it later. We went over for a dessert pizza and we found out they're not doing dessert pizzas I'm confident that I will not be going back anytime soon to attempt a pizza. I don't know that's in her capability or in her wheelhouse. Everybody should probably focus their attention on Webster Lake Pizza and Lake Pizza. read more

My husband and I went there because we heard there were new owners, and so we wanted to try it out. The day we arrived was sunny & warm. Someone was singing and playing guitar, and it was busy. We put in an order for a burger and a wrap around 12. We hadn't eaten all day and were really hungry! The waitress was nice and brought us beers right away. After that, and without exaggeration, for the next THREE hours, we were told, "It's coming, it's coming" each and every time. We must have been told that 4 times. Finally, when the third hour hit and we asked again (and we were laughing and being cool about it), but she admitted she forgot to put the order in Okay, fine, but we were SURE she would then put it in but never did. we told some friends, regulars, about what happened, and they mentioned it to the owner, the husband, who came right out to talk to us. He was nice & apologetic and he gave us his card, and he said that the next time we came, "the next entrees will be on the house." We appreciated that and left and went to grab food at another spot. Fast forward to yesterday, 10/28/23. Went back, but didn't mention the free meals, it had been a good month since we had been, and my husband misplaced the card anyway, lol. But yesterday wasn't better. We ordered just a cheese pizza, and ordered a wine and a beer which came out. Then we were told that the restaurant didn't have any pizzas. We heard the night before, the pizza cook was hmmm, a little "under the weather" lol, and had banged out the next day, so nobody was there to make the pizza. Okay, stuff happens. We then ordered a chicken wrap and a chicken sandwich. The waitress left, but came back in minutes to say they didn't have anymore "wrap bread" left. Okay, so we instead ordered burgers to be cooked medium. A few minutes later, we were told that unless we wanted our burgers well-done, we should order something else, because they said that due to the burger patties being frozen, the only way they could be cooked was to be well-done. So scratch that, we then ordered some chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks. When they came out, we asked if we could get plates, forks, and napkins, but those never came. Not a huge deal, but still. On the mozzarella stick plate (the plate that the sticks came on, and the chicken plate, we just used those), there was a small, plastic cup of marinara sauce for dipping. BUT, it was frozen. The waitress did take it when we told her, and she went to the back to get more. She returned with another cup of the sauce, and although it was cold, not even luke-warm, we ate it anyway and figured at least it wasn't frozen solid. The chicken and sticks were okay. We understand that place has new ownership, and when there isn't enough staff that it doesn't help matters, but when you are a restaurant and you don't have much food, silverware, staff, cold food, etc, and that point, close the doors for the day, or at least put up a sign saying, "Due to unforseen circumstances, we will not be able to offer kitchen services today, but the bar is open and the view is stellar, so come on in and join us!" Or something like that. We do believe things WILL get better, we do, and we will come again and try it as third time's a charm, but when people are hungry and the menu is advertising food that isn't there or not up to par, it's better to be up front and honest with people, otherwise, your customers will walk out which IS what happened yesterday with some people sitting near us! read more

I don't even know where to begin with this place. To call Mary's a restaurant would be factually incorrect. The service this past Saturday was the worst I've ever experienced. The waitress might as well have been a random person they pulled in from the street that day. Actually the random person likely would have been better. As the meal became more and more delayed the waitress proceeded to throw the kitchen under the bus and take no accountability for the establishment. All of our entrees came out one by one with 30 minutes between the first entree and the last one coming out. Absurd... Then there's the food. If the pizza is the new flagship, my god almighty. The sauce on the pizza is brutal. It's hard to imagine trying to make a sauce so bad. If they would have sprinkled Ragu on the pizza it would have been an improvement. Honestly if you're on your boat the only way this place makes sense is to grab a drink. They can't screw that up...or at least they didn't for us. Stay away folks. If you're hungry visit anything else, Dunkin, Subway, you name it and it'll be better. Hopefully we'll see new management for the 4th consecutive year in 2020. read more

Our waitress was drunk we didn't get served for minutes. The whole place seemed unorganized and uninterested.

It is a bar on the water that you can pull your boat up to!? How can you go wrong. We sat outside and listened to live music. Yeah the food is just average and sometimes you have to wait a few minutes for a drink but it is a BAR on the water that you can PULL YOUR BOAT UP TO. I mean come on!! They just updated the inside and it looks much nicer. I feel like if they added a server or two and made the menu simpler it might help but it is a BAR ON THE WATER that you can pull your boat up to! Popped in here tonight for the first time. We walked out back to sit outside by the water. When we did this we said hello to the waitress to be nice but also to inform her we are here since there is no hostess. There was a party of 6, a party of 3 and a party of 1. We sat and waited 20 minutes as the waitress brought the party of 6, 2 drinks at a time (1 in each hand) even though I could see trays available to her. While we sat there 2 more parties had come in after us. After 20 minutes I walked back inside to the bar to order us drinks. Mind you still no menus! When I came back down the waitress was finally taking our drink order (too late) and finally hand us a menu only to find out she had already taken the orders of the 2 parties that came in after us. When we asked her why she would serve them before us she had nothing to say. She stunk! We left and went to point breeze and had a lovely dinner and drinks there and I tipped the waiter a little extra for just simply doing his job! read more

The View Your in Webster, your a little lost, there's a lot of woods, not much around. Then you go on the Yelp app and you find this restaurant/bar that is in the middle of a neighborhood. So I say, ok this looks interesting. We pull up and walk into the place and then you see it. Besides a lakefront bar, one of the best decks on the water I have ever seen. What a view!!! The restaurant portion of the place is just ok, but it doesn't matter. The bar itself serves good drinks at affordable prices for a waterfront place and the servers do a great job. Tip: You want to catch some sun, look at the water, and have a couple of drinks. This is a great spot. They also have live music 3-4 days a week which is a nice touch. Thanks read more

We've been to waterfront Mary's a few times and to be honest it's never been more than a 3 for me. Today they earned a hard one. Saturday afternoon. Nice day. Got a little rainy. Place is busy but not jamming. Mind you- this restaurant is waterfront on a very popular lake. Six of us go for lunch and we know not to expect anything fancy Drinks came out quick enough but. Although only TWO servers to handle inside and outside. Two lunches came out then five minutes later two more. Another five minutes one more... Another five and the final lunch. And that order is wrong. Steak sandwich with just cheese came with mushrooms We awns it back Fast forward ten more minutes and the replacement sandwich comes out wrong. AGAIN. This time peppers and onions. The server actually said she wasn't going to send it back because it would take forever. Seriously? So we're performing surgery on the sandwich because the child who ordered it (who isn't mine) said "something happens when I eat peppers". Well I can't return her dead and I can't make her eat it because she's not my kid . And even if she was my kid WTF it is not what she ordered. And at that point meal etiquette had been thrown out their dirty windows because the food that we started getting 20 minutes prior was going to get cold so we ate - and she picked off our plates. During this ordeal I go to the bathroom and guess what? Owner was outside ripping a butt and drinking a Truly. Bathroom had zero toilet paper and one of the stalls was OOO. At least there was soap. Server did take it offf the bill but I have a sneaking suspicion she'll probably get a ration of shit for it. And she'll have nothing to clean that up with. I digress.. Silver lining to all of this? We got to leave. Save yourself the hassle and grossness of this place. Spend a few more bucks and go to Point Breeze. Or starve. Either is a viable option over this joint. read more

No one greeted us, took 15 mins to be served a drink, 45 for appetizers to come out and 1.5 hrs for a pizza. Food was overpriced and I'm leaving hungry. Food was good and service was as well. Atmosphere was charming. Interesting feature how the boats can pull up right to the deck and order.

We saw that they boasted being LGBTQIA friendly, & since it was PRIDE month, we went. We arrived at 2:10 PM, and only 2 tables were available outside. We had to bus our own table to sit by the water. The only wait person we saw was very young & inexperienced, & not very personable. We had to ask for menus, which had pictures of dogs all over it. Do they cook dogs here? Do they think it's cute? It's distracting. I could only imagine all those dogs running free somewhere in the kitchen, spreading diseases... The table near us had a larger group, and was served in stages. Another table got the wrong bill, & later someone else's credit card. We waited an hour for a salad & sandwich. When food arrived, we had to ask for utensils. We were not given napkins. The food okay, but not really worth the wait. The waitress said they only had 1 cook... Live entertainment was okay, but not sure how they kept singing in the heat for that long. I always wanted to patronize this place. I have always driven past the sign and I wish I would have stayed in the road and b ver took the turn. 1. Parking is a free for all, no lines, dirt parking. 2. We ordered clam chowder (it tasted like it came out of can) served on white styrofoam bowl, plastic silverware. We also ordered a burger and it tasted bad. 3. The table was sticky and it wasn't cleaned until after we told them. 4. The drinks were good, served in plastic 8oz cups. 5. The day we were there was some kind of disagreement within management, the waiter kept on apologizing for the behavior of the "manager and owner". It does have great views of the lake. read more

It was okay. View was nice, but pizza was just eh. Very little chicken on it at all and a couple tiny pieces of bleu cheese crumble. That was a buffalo chicken pizza. Owner was rude and hit on my girlfriend, stole my buddies seat and laugh in our faces about it. Pulling up by boat I was yelled at by an outdoor guest telling me to pull my boat up as I waited for my friends to meet me so I could leave. And because I didn't entertain this woman because she had no clue what I was doing in her loud smokers voice said " You have to be the rudest person I've ever seen". But hey what a view!
