I've always had a good customer service at this location. It's been my favorite place to go when i want quality gear from my favorite brands. Depending on the season the second hand section which is one of the reasons i got my membwrship in 2022. I've found such well prices discounted gear that is now a staple for recreating. Even when I've had very few hiccups which was from one online order i made. They were able to fix it. I can't recommend this place enough! It maybe pricer depending on your budget. Most is much needed investment.

I called ahead and asked to test ride and the attendant at the bike shop, Evan was incredibly accommodating. After a quick ride, I gave him the nod that I'd buy the bike. Unbeknownst to myself, he was on the tail end of his shift, but insisted that I have the bike dialed in. He took his time to go through the motions of preparation and provide his input on certain add on items. Will most likely be back to bring the bike for service.

In the footwear department, the associate was also very helpful and quickly assisted me with getting the correct boot size and box. Unfortunately, our experience changed at checkout. The cashier, an older woman, had a noticeably different attitude. I won't go into every detail, but her tone came across as sarcastic and unwelcoming. Despite being polite and respectful throughout the interaction, it felt like she wanted to rush us out. My wife and I both left feeling uncomfortable, and we couldn't help but feel that the treatment may have been influenced by our ethnicity. That's not something I take lightly, but the difference in behavior was hard to ignore. I'm sharing this feedback for management because the front-end experience matters just as much as the rest of the store. I hope more attention is given to how customers are treated at checkout so others don't leave feeling the same way we did.

I always have such great luck with service and selection. And... prices!!! This trip was no different except my salesman. He was awesome! He was a bit camera shy, but oh so helpful and sweet. Anyways, I walked in asked for the best selection for the court in my size and he showed me the shoes. I was browsing the sale table. I always find something and yes! I found the same shoe in my size on the clearance table with an additional 20% off because they were returned. They were clean and the bottoms were mildly used. I also found a reduced price sandal for $10 brand new in my size. Score! I ended up wearing them all day. Played pickle ball, had a blast, and my feet were comfortable. I will always go to Big 5!!! They are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and not pushy, and they have the best prices!! Always checkout the sale table. Check it out for kids and adults.

Big 5 is smaller than Dick's Sporting Goods. They still manage to carry a decent selection of sporting goods, camping gear, and other gifts. Sporting goods includes fishing. Prices are all over the place. There are usually sales going on. Both times I ended up purchasing shoes. The "super saver" price coupled with the coupon I printed from their website was a fantastic deal. Many items that are found in store are not listed on their website. I was looking for a skateboard for my son. The website only indicated one option. In store there were more than a dozen different boards. Same went for skate shoes. Only one was shown on the website, but there were several pairs to chose from in store.
