Decent Korean food in central London. The taste has been tailored for the Englishmen and isn't as authentic as I would have liked, but still a solid choice for Korean food. It hits the spot on days where I miss homemade Korean food.

Very popular and bustling restaurant that had a nice ambiance! It super cool to see Jennie from Blackpink and RM from BTS have eaten here. My friend and I ordered Galbi Tang and bossam. Both dishes were dishes that I had never tried before, but they were very tasty. The soup was especially warming and hearty. The service was also terrific and everyone was super sweet.

Tucked away off on a side street, Bi-Won's charming exterior brought us in. Once we entered the friendly owner, coziness & quaintness, and classic Victorian details made our decision to do takeout instead of dining in a little difficult. I can see why this place gets 3 stars, the grilled chicken and bibimbap were standard. Their jajangmyun, however, was awesome! The owner said it was their signature dish. I'm no expert on black bean noodles but this was really good! A thick flavorful sludge of black bean sauce made of chicken and veggies (typically pork but Mrs G wanted chicken). Nice balance and it was delicious over the springy noodles that came with cucumber and sesame seeds. Instead of getting the usual 4-7 dishes of banchan, we received miso soup that was packed with seaweed, scallions, and tofu. More cloudy and flavorful than the Japanese style. Solid 3.3 - good prices, good value, and good decor with some great jajangmyun. Now I'm on a mission to find some excellent jajangmyun noodles back home. Great little Korean restaurant, out of the hustle and bustle the atmosphere is quaint and chilled...very friendly Be lovely for a romantic meal for a first date It's also good for lunch/dinner times, they don't rush you out the door Average price for a main is £6-10 The dishes are ok portions you'll get full on them but mostly a one person per portion The food is well flavoured and authentic As for alcohol I believe it's just a selection of sake, beer or plum wine I have ordered The kimchi rice cakes Noodles and meat bibimbap

One of the authentic Korean restaurants. One bad things is that the owner lady was very quick to get annoyed when we were being slow about ordering our food.

I would definitely recommend the barbecue here, they really have some amazing meat dishes perfectly suitable for grilling. Especially the pork belly and all of the beef dishes are a little bit of heaven on earth (and I used to be a pescetarian). I would always order side dishes such as letuce and kimchi as these are my favourites but I'm looking forward to tasting their others as well - to sum it up: south korea in London, close by British Museum if u wanna make a day out of it, enjoy! ;-)

I have no idea why there are quite a few Korean restaurants near the British Museum, when there are not a huge number anywhere else I have been. I like Korean food, it is a bit samey, but in general spicy and healthy is pretty good in my books. Bi Won is fairly authentic as far as I can tell, it is starchy, clean and uncluttered, and serves some classic Korean dishes as well as a few Japanese and Chinese ones. The prices are pretty reasonable for this end of town. They could probably charge more, given their proximity to tourist central, though maybe not in the evenings. I liked Bi Won well enough, but have been of better Korean restaurants, so doubt I will be back.

Seafood bi bim bap, fried squid and pickles/kimchee- yum and the kids loved it too!

I started off with a glass of wine from South Africa. Their wine list and cocktails have South African influence. Price was £7 - £9 for a glass of medium level wines. I was recommended the prawn skewers, cous cous salad and a lamb with apricot skewer. My personal favourite was the prawn skewers. The chefs have peeled the bodies beforehand but left it's head and tail shell intact. It was served with some rocket salad and two difference sauces (in a separate sauce plate) to complement the heat and spice from the prawns. I did not think the separate sauces were that important as I did enjoy the prawns and rockets together. I do like sucking prawn heads, and oh boy, it was juicy. The prawn was well cooked. Loved the combination of chilli in it. It was very tasty and spicy. I must say that £12 for 4 pieces of prawns might be a little steep for a lunch meal. The lamb skewer I had apparently was something new they are about to add their list of sosaties. It definitely smelled good as it was served. On the skewers were about 8 chunks of lamb meat, 6 pieces of apricot and 5 pieces of onions. Juices from the apricot burst into your mouth as you chewed on the fruit. The lamb was also juicy, well seasoned and succulent. It didn't have any bad smell to it, so I thought it was a dish well done. Cous cous salad was refreshing. It came with generous serving of rocket leaves, raisins, pine nuts, cheese and some slices of freshly baked crusty bread. The dessert was fantastic although I must admit I did not see the South African influence in it. I had the dark chocolate mousse served with blackberry compote, yogurt and pumpkin seeds. I spoke to Mark, person in charge when I visited, about this and was told the dessert will be taken off the menu. So the restaurant is definitely taking some positive steps to serving better food and improving the menu. Overall happy with my food here

Only bad point: clothes now smell like a bonfire--but totally worth it!

Here we found an absolutely magical pub full of history, unexpected (and maybe kinky?) surprises, beautiful staff, and fabulous food. If the mirror ball doesn't just make you happy when you enter the second floor dining room, then you are just hopelessly unhappy. Then entire restaurant (and I explored all three floors because I'm nosy) was just beautifully decorated. We made reservations and arrived around 12:30pm (pre-matinee meal), and while not busy at arrival, the pub quickly filled with an assortment of locals that I could not have case better if I tried. I desperately wish I was a local and this was my neighborhood pub! Food and drinks: the roast was everything I hoped it would be! As a southerner (US), I grew up with Sunday roasts, though slightly different. All I can say is that the roast beef was the closest I have ever tasted to my grandmothers - the beef was so tender and the gravy almost made me lick the plate. The sticky toffee pudding was irresistible and I am embarrassed to say I made sounds of pleasure that are not usually heard at the dinner table (at least... a public table). The staff was as equally yummy as the food - I hate to objectify people, but the staff gear were the best looking and most-smiling staff we encountered in London! I left with a major crush on the hostess and the bartender! I can't imagine what this place turns into in a Friday or Saturday night, but I will be finding out during my next visit to London!

This Angel-Byron is really trying very hard to be cool; in my opinion, they've gone over-board with the currently all-so trendy "unfinished look": the walls are stripped barren, the cables are exposed and sitting on the upstairs gallery, you feel like you're in an attic or so. Granted, I like the unfnished look...but please keep it in moderation! As for the food, my burger was really just alright; nothing special. And the skin-on chunky fries were bland and lacked some salt (sure, I could add that, but they were so deep-fried that the salt didn't stick to them properly). I was also a little annoyed by the selection of wines. You could choose between: good, better, great and best. I mean, it is already nice that they want to help me with my decision-making, but I find it all to trivial, that the good one is the cheapest and the best one is the most expensive! All in all, my expectations were not met and I have no desire to try out any other Byron locations in the near future.
