Nate was excellent, as was the supporting staff. He gave us plenty of time to enjoy our cocktails while we looked over the menu. The Fiori Rosa Spritz was terrific, as was the smoked 'Mericano. We thoroughly enjoyed the bread with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and a garlic clove big enough to choke a horse! The shrimp cocktail was also excellent, especially with real horseradish on top of the cocktail sauce. My Montepulciano d'Abruzzo complemented the Rigatoni alla Bolognese perfectly. The sauce was flavorful without being overpowering, allowing all the flavors and textures to come through. The Cavatelli Rustici was also very good and satisfying enough that it didn't need an added protein. We finished with decaf cappuccinos and shared the warm Old Fashioned Butter Cake--a delightful ending to a wonderful meal. The people seated around us were friendly and engaged us in conversation, which made the evening even more enjoyable. We highly recommend Basta. Even though we're only visiting for a few more weeks, we'll gladly bump another restaurant off our must-try list to make room for a return visit. We will definitely be back!

We were sadly in a rush and had to be out by a certain time to catch a show, and our server understood the assignment and got us out on the tight schedule we needed. I'm just sad I had to slurp down my soup so quickly as it was absolutely DELICIOUS! I ordered the Snow Mountain Ramen - the creamy tofu broth is unlike anything I've had and was so so unique and delicious. I thought about it for at least a week straight after eating it and am still dying to go back to get more. I also got the Iced Rose Matcha drink - $10 felt too pricy for this but I wanted a fun drink and a little caffeine kick - and again the flavors were unique and tasty. Both my friend and I happened to see someone we knew here - it's definitely a popular spot! It was packed on a Saturday night but it was still pretty quick for us to get a table for 2. Being a downtown city restaurant, the tables feel a bit cramped and I was a little too close to the table next to me for comfort - claustrophobics beware (honestly the soup is worth it though!!) Parking is pretty easy in the lot, although Holy crap they need to fix the potholes / harsh drop-off where it meets the street, and it still was not fully plowed many weeks after the big snowstorm (it's a shared lot so not a Y Noodle specific issue, but just saying). The only thing that was unpleasant were the bathrooms - I get it was a busy weekend night, but they reeked of a litter box the second you stepped in, the floor was dirty and very wet with unknown substances, and the Dyson hand dryer is at such a weird, too high level on the wall that it sprayed water in my face. Everything else was a dream, can't wait to go back! Hopefully the bathrooms were just a fluke.

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. The interior was much larger than I initially expected and more of a full restaurant too which was a pleasant surprise. In truth, not entirely sure what I was expecting, but as I stated up front it was more than that for sure in all regards. The food came quickly and was presented beautifully, and the drinks were so good I had to have a second. We opted for small plates on this visit, which included an order of soup dumplings which definitely lived up to the hype. I can't wait to come back to try even more of their amazing sounding entrees, especially the noodles!

The entire market is exceptionally clean, well-organized, and beautifully laid out, making it a joy to walk through whether you're picking up dinner or spending the day out with the family for their corn maze, pumpkin patch, or potato launching. Between the fresh gourmet produce, cheeses, and meats, the marketplace is fully stocked, and their selection of ready-to-heat homecooked meals is a lifesaver on busy nights. You definitely can't leave without visiting the bakery section. Fresh breads, colossal decadent brownies, fresh local cow's milk, and Wilson-grown berries are absolute staples that never disappoint. The service is mostly solid, though a bit mixed depending on who you interact with. The staff stocking the floor and managing the displays are consistently friendly, approachable, and happy to help you find what you need. The cashier and bagging team can be a bit hit-or-miss...at times, they can seem a little disengaged and ready for their shift to end, but it's a minor downside to an otherwise fantastic visit. Overall, it's a top-tier local gem for great food and fun community events.
