The place has its parking lot which is a plus . The place has a cute set up. I walk in and it's my first time. A "Good Morning " goes a long way when running a bagel shop and was shocked I didn't get that today. The bagel was good , soft and the bacon was crispy which I enjoyed. Just an Okay experience.

We got unlucky -- waited for 20 min for our sandwiches. The service is hectic. The interior is ok -- everything is clean and accurate. The food is Ok. The coffee is below average -- you do need to add cream.

Came on a Saturday morning for breakfast after a workout. Around 1130am, it wasnt overly busy but there was a steady flow of dine-ins/take outs. You can tell they are a popular breakfast/lunch location and it came through in the service and F&B quality. Ordered some breakfast and lunch items and both came out together - which is always very important to me. Nothing worst than a restaurant that delivers food separately. Got the Nutella French Toast and Americana Sandwich. Both were good. The guy who took our order made the homemade chipotle himself and it was a nice touch on the order. Highly recommended!

Wood on wood, enough with this look and do we really need another oversized Edison bulb? Probably not. The garage door opening is a nice touch and the staff is polite, professional and quick. But despite the uber-trying-to-be-cool look, the coffee is your average bodega type and the bagels are ok, not bad but, not with a return trip.

Great bagel spot with plenty of options! We got the chipotle chicken and guacamole wrap, garlic bread with bacon cheddar and the egg everything bagel with cream cheese. The wrap was very good and flavorful and the bagels were delicious with the specialty cream cheese. Service was quick and theres plenty of seating inside and parking outside. Would go here again for a casual breakfast or brunch.

This is my favorite bagel after my morning service and my favorite spot altogether. Would be even better if the staff was more friendlier, unless I walked in at the wrong time on the wrong day but I felt bad to even ask for what type of milks the had. But it's alright, I moved to another state and I was very looking forward to go back home and have a real bagel and this is all I cared about lol. I still love this place, we can always have bad days but customers don't have to pay to it lol. I'll be back y'all! Great spot, and great bagels!

Great breakfast spot in Nutley. This is a cute spot with phenomenal food - cannot go wrong with any selection. This place stays packed during the weekend. They make their own bread and bagel and the flavor is great. The cold cuts are on point. I highly recommend this spot. Keep up the great service guys!

After a hard work out, the only way to recover is with a giant bagel! Glad I finally had a chance to step into BGL, the building is so spacious and modern. It gives you a nice community feel with their chat board on the wall and sharable table settings. I ordered my go-to bagel order which is an everything bagel with egg, cheese and bacon (salt, pepper kethcup too). It was absolutely heavenly. I thought about only eating half, then grabbing something "healthy" but who was I kidding? There is nothing like a fresh Jersey bagel to start your week off right. The service here was also super fast and friendly, and I hope to be making many more trips in the future to check out their other menu items.

Found this place after a Target run(only 4 mins from the one in Clifton). I loved the interior. Very spacious with plenty of seating. Also a big fan of the giant, easy to read menu. The service was strong as well. Friendly, attentive and helpful. Really enjoyed my coffee and breakfast sandwich and can't wait to visit again to try something else.

Saturday morning breakfast and we hit this place up on a friend's recommendation. Let's go with the service first. Everyone was very accommodating, polite and helpful. Ordered and food at our table within 10 minutes. I got the Greek omelet. Came with home fries and choice of bagel or toast. It was absolutely phenomenal. Every bite had feta cheese. Also loaded up with kalamata olive and spinach. It was SOOOOO good. My son had a sausage, egg and cheese on a round roll and he plowed through the whole thing. My wife had a bacon, egg and cheese and said it was excellent. We washed it down with a cappuccino and a lemonade for the boy and it was a done deal. Atmosphere was great. I told my wife I felt like I was eating breakfast on a Fast and Furious movie set. I was just missing the California ocean across the street. Old warehouse converted to a great eatery. Massive garage doors open with high tables to sit and enjoy your meal. What a great setting. If you're in the area, don't snooze on this place for your weekend breakfast choice.

Came here after moving a friend of mine out of Nutley, but glad I saw this beforehand. Food: ended up getting a Southwest omelette. Best decision. Service: the whole staff appeared to work well as a team and were both polite and timely. Aesthetic: this is honestly such an interesting spot with the garage door style and type of seating. Biggest selling point.

Awesome bagel spot in nutley! Tons of parking around the store is available which makes it super convenient. When you walk in you're almost overwhelmed because their menu is pretty huge. They have a ton of fun cream cheese options too. I tried their veggie and it could hold up in a competition. Not my very favorite but it's definitely good. I got my boyfriend a Taylor ham, egg and cheese on a sesame bagel and he loved it. He kept saying the Taylor ham was different than any other he had tried - and trust me, he's tried A LOT. So that was a winner! The staff is very friendly, I ordered right away and everything was done very quickly. I would go back to try their other cream cheese options on a mini bagel. They also have a to of fun specialty breakfasts like waffles and sweet creations. Their omelettes also look really great. They have indoor seating available and spaced apart very well. I'd highly recommend this spot!

I then ordered my 50 piece nuggies and they charged me for 5 10 pieces! $20+ for something that is 11.99 at Bloomfield... I left at this point and went to my normal Wendy's and instead of my FiL's meal being $18, it was $14... Staff is lazy, and slightly rude. A Ripper: otherwise known as a "Deep-Fried Hotdog". Three plain and simple words, but when…read morecombined, they are nearly pornographic. At least they are for me. Rutt's Hut has been on my punch list for a long time. Actually NJ fried Hot Dogs have been both from Rutt's and from Hiram's over in Ft. Lee. I got to Hiram's and today was my luck day to get a shot at a Ripper. Rutt's is a bit off the beaten path and is down a meandering pothole filled road in a very industrial feeling part of town surrounded by wooded areas. It seems like it would be a better place for a serial killer body dump than a Hot Dog vendor but it's been there since 1928 so it must be doing something right. There is a large, private, and free parking lot which is a huge bonus in my playbook. The building looks like it is in disrepair. There are 2 areas to eat here. A door to the left seems to be a pub/bar with sit down service and then there is the right side that I went to which is a stand up, indoor counter where you can get in and out very quickly. This is a cash only spot so come prepared. Get to an open counter worker, give them your order, and pay when they hand over the goods. I was a little intimidated when I walked in because it was clear that everyone else in the place understood the ordering routine and knew the menu (there are quite a few other items you could order other than Rippers). I stood in a corner like a potted plant for about 10 minutes and watched what others did when they walked in before I figured out the process. It's pretty simple but I did not want to screw up Rutt's world order by doing something stupid. The 3 Rippers I ordered were good (but not best in class for me). The one I liked the most was the chili cheese dressed Ripper because the chili was actually quite tasty. On the counter are large containers of brown mustard and almost-fluorescent yellow relish. People seem to love the stuff. It was a bit like sweetened sauerkraut for me and the color of it makes me think it is either radioactive or seasoned with antifreeze. I would be happy going here again but I can't say that my Rippers were anything special. I might ask for them to be a little overdone next time to add a bit of texture. What I did like about Rutt's was the history, the dilapidated building, the simplicity of the menu, the naming of their dogs as "Rippers", and the fact that it felt like I was eating among real NJ natives that knew exactly what they were there for. Experiencing local culture doesn't get much better than that.
