Wing Champs they are! I came in on a cold Saturday night. As soon as I stepped in I was met with a warm greeting from the young lady at the counter and a bomb playlist. It took me longer than expected to read thru the menu because my song was playing and I couldn't focus LOL. Finally got through it and placed my to go order which was ready in under 10 minutes. I went with 2 orders of 10pc wings w/ fries. You're allowed 2 flavors per order. I chose Garlic Parm, Sweet Teriyaki, Old Bay & Honey Jerk. For the fries I chose Old Bay which is an extra $1. Each plate was $16 plus tax. Babyyyyyyy I don't know what happens back there in that kitchen BUT the way I inhaled my wings and fries. I was literally confused! The best wings I ever had! I was so happy when I got the invite to come to this establishment and do a tasting of their menu. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted by one of the owners, Jamil. Btw this is a black owned restaurant. Him and staff were super gracious and hospitable. They shut down the restaurant for a small group of us and brung out a bunch of their dishes. They started with different flavored wings. My favorite was the honey garlic. Some were a little salty for me but a majority were good. They also made me special salmon sliders because I don't eat dairy, and they were good. The old bay fries were good and for dessert they had these amazing sticky buns that were hot and tasty. Super cute spot! They offer a gaming vibe and a great playlist you can vibe with. The young man behind the register was super nice and explain their menu and that we were welcome to stay and eat in. They have games you can play while eating and the wings were amazing. I got the parmesan wings, spicy BBQ and jerk. All delicious. Wing flavor was delicious and cook temp was perfect super crispy but wings were super small especially for the price $ flavor wise the price would have been worth it if the wing wasn't tiny If the wing would have been sized normally would have given 5 stars especially with the honey lemon pepper sauce on the side which was tasty and tasted home made but we were blown away by the size. Wing Champs was honestly exactly what I needed the day I tried it for the first time. Let's rewind a bit folks. I'm 25, I just got my dream car, it's old but I love it. I took it down to the mechanics and boom they tell me I need to do about 4K in repairs. Now I don't have that, I'm hungry and stressed. I cross the way to Wing Champs and immediately the music and the smell washed over me. There was an older woman there with extremely kind eyes who welcomed me in and took my order listening intently. When the food came out it smelled delicious and looked even better. While the wings are full wings, they're natural so they're a bit smaller than some you'd find at like a Chilis or an Applebees. HOWEVER! This is no hurdle for Wing Champs because that food? Sensational. And even after I paid, cleaned my place and left, I was welcomed back to sit down and do a little work remotely to finish out my day. Overall a great environment, and I will absolutely be back to try the rest of the menu. read more

Support small business!! I live in this neighborhood and one day I was walking down broad with my son and stumbled across this wing spot. I told my guy about it and we decided one night to give them a try. Thank god we did! The food is spot in. Wings are cooked to perfection and we love the seasoning on the hand cut fries. The prices are good for what you get. They also offer catering. The downside is that they are closed on sundays but they informed me that I could make a order for catering to pick up on sundays which is great. Everything is made to order. Please don't eat here~ I would give this place 0 stars. It is truly awful! we ordered last week, we placed an order for $28 in different flavor wings. When we picked up our order, the staff was either drink or high, (which would've been fine, if the food was eatable) We only got the tips of the wings which is the more boney part of the wing, (no drums or wingettes). The tips were so dried, it tasted like jerky. We called immediately with no answer, almost as if they knew they screwed us! What a Great surprise for me to walk in on a truly family business and I believe they were all pleasantly in attendance during my visit. A very nice establishment with the most delicious chicken wings. Wing Champ won me over with their wings that were not fried hard, like I generally find, but juicy and full of flavor with a variety of sauces. I like spice so I chose the buffalo sauce with blue cheese and very tasty seasoned fries. I tried to get the secret seasoning out of the very pleasant Doris, but she was not budging Wing Champ is definitely a must go. I look forward to going back on my next visit to Bloomfield. If I could give less than a star review I would, actually wait... negative 5 stars. First off we see the only one's in the establishment, we only ordered 10 wings and chicken tenders with a side of fries. They then proceeded to inform us that it will take 35 minutes. Granted I'm sure they have many pick orders. So we figured okay that's okay it happens. 35 minutes later, which is the only thing they were accurate about we were delivered a meal that wasn't even ours. I told the kid/child at the counter this wasn't our order. He looked perplexed as if I asked him the meaning of life. He the informed the what I can only assume is the owner of the mishap. The owner came from behind the curtain and asked me in a very confident yet obviously ignorant tone what was wrong with my meal, I get it protect your employee, I can respect that. I conveyed to the owner that it wasn't our meal at all. He said he's got me. Another 25 minutes later and the food finally came out. Now I'm very patient and said okay, perhaps the food is worth it. Here I'm thinking I'll have an array of flavors and mouth watering food... I might as well have gone to the nearest grocery store and reheated the wings that are discarded, they would have tasted so much better. Only thing more precious than your money is your time. Overall the food was good but not worth the money I brought wings and shrimp it cost 17 bucks the wings was meatless extremely small I was very disappointed and most likely won't go back again I was floored when I got home and opened the box totally not worth the money I could have went next door to the Jamaican restaurant and got a full meal for that amount of money.
