I stopped in and ordered an everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese. Bagel was solid and girl paid attention to being light on the cream cheese. Some places still put too much. Service was pleasant, especially for early in the morning. Bagel was still warm which means fresh. They had the usual variety of bagels available. I got a Taylor ham egg and cheese on an egg bagel. The bagel was soft and fluffy- the sandwich was very tasty! I wish there was a little more Taylor ham, but it was just so tasty- they recommended the hash brown on the sandwich but I got it on the side- it isn't something I'd get again, it was greasy and not worth it in comparison to the sandwich. If you want a real bagel, I'd steer clear. Pale in color and tastes more like a roll. There's oats on the everything bagel which would've been okay if the bagel at at we good. Should've known by the pale color of the bagel that it wasn't gonna be good. Cream cheese also has a sweetness to it, not any Philadelphia here! My friend gets bagels from here all the time and today I stopped in with her for the first time. Place is small and quaint but they have everything you need. Flagels too! My favorite. I got a small container of veggie cream cheese to try because I'm super picky with it. It wasn't bad, could be a little more flavorful though. The bagels here are VERY soft. If you're looking for a hearty doughy bagel, this isn't the place for you. I'm usually a doughy fan but these bagels are nice once in a while. They're light and fluffy. The sandwiches they were making looked great. They've got lots of sweets too to satisfy any sugar cravings. Small selection of chips on the side too. Good selection of drinks. There's also a few small tables to sit and eat. Today it was about 92 degrees and there was no air conditioning, they just had the door open. No line is the best part about this place. Everything bagel had just a bit too much salt but the egg inside was cooked to my liking. Could really taste the pepper in my wife's vegetable cream cheese. After moving out of Nutley, we miss this place! To be honest, we haven't had a wide variety of their items, but their breakfast sandwiches are what get them 5 stars. Their egg, cheese and hash brown sandwiches are TO DIE FOR. It's strange, too. They don't make their bagels in house, and this used to bother us. But we have been to several places that do make their own bagels and these ones the bring in are still better! We miss this place. read more

Definitely not the best bagel place,especially in a town so competitive with food. Service is always on the slow side and the girls handle money and grill. Bagels are not made, delivered daily (?) So by 10, they are hard already. They've sold out of popular bagel flavors by 930 on a Sunday twice for me. Their jalapeño cream cheese is just plain with some old pickled peppers put in, not fresh jalapeños like other bagel shops use. Their Taylor ham is not Taylor brand, and they put 2 slices on my bagel and I didn't even get egg on it just 2 pieces of meat and a slice of cheap cheese. Not worth the money. read more

I tried this place out because I am looking for an alternative to my local place (Bob's, which has excellent bagels and famously less than stellar customer service). I have had three experiences with Bagel Plus. First, I had their italian sandwich on a bagel. It was just ok. The bagel was pretty good, but the deli meat was sub-par for this area. It was served with chips which, quite honestly, I could've lived without. The second time, I had a breakfast sandwich. It was delicious. The bagel was fresh, it was served piping hot, and the cheese was melty. It wasn't the cheese I had ordered, but it was good. The last time, I ordered a bagel with cream cheese. It was terrible. It was small and very stale. It didn't look like the bagels I had before. They are friendly people, but that last bagel was no good. I think if I go back I'll ask to make sure the bagel is fresh. read more

I was there the morning she came in and the owner could not apologize enough about the mistake. He was extremely nice to her and returned the money to her without a second thought. I have never written a review for a restaurant before but my experience here was so irritating I felt I had to. I ordered for delivery- 3 omelettes, a salad, and a coffee. I waited two hours until they got here. Didn't have my coffee. I asked for ketchup on the side, no ketchup. Toast was supposed to come with the omelettes, didn't get toast on any of the three orders. The eggs are cold, no taste to them at all. No salt or pepper, NOTHING. The potatoes that came with the omelettes taste like drywall. It's not to late and then just places it on it. I say can we have the cheese melted. He goes oh you want it melted and I say yes. He then picks up the Taylor ham and cheese with his BARE HANDS. I then say that is against health code to touch the food without gloves. He's says to me my hands are clean. I say it doesn't matter it's still against the law to touch and cook the food without atleast one glove. My family works with food and I know. He then goes ok I will take the pieces off that I touched and give you new ones. Seriously, I now know when the girls aren't working to just not go there. read more
