This is a good bagel shop located on the Belleville end of Nutley. They are open early which is convenient on your way to work. I stopped in and ordered an everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese. Bagel was solid and girl paid attention to being light on the cream cheese. Some places still put too much. Service was pleasant, especially for early in the morning. Bagel was still warm which means fresh. They had the usual variety of bagels available. This place is a good no frills bagel shop, nothing spectacular but very solid. I will definitely be back on my way to work. read more

THE EVERYTHING WHOLE WHEAT BAGEL IS THE BEST bagel ever!!!! Please listen to me, this bagel place does it like no other and I mean it. I walked 4 miles to and back from my home just to have these with a side of cottage cheese for breakfast. Im so grateful to have found this place read more

I got a Taylor ham egg and cheese on an egg bagel. The bagel was soft and fluffy- the sandwich was very tasty! I wish there was a little more Taylor ham, but it was just so tasty- they recommended the hash brown on the sandwich but I got it on the side- it isn't something I'd get again, it was greasy and not worth it in comparison to the sandwich. The staff was polite and quick. Overall an awesome bagel shop read more

If you want a real bagel, I'd steer clear. Pale in color and tastes more like a roll. There's oats on the everything bagel which would've been okay if the bagel at at we good. Should've known by the pale color of the bagel that it wasn't gonna be good. Cream cheese also has a sweetness to it, not any Philadelphia here! Also at 3.99 for a bagel with specialty cream cheese I feel that they skimpy on the amount of cream cheese compared to other bagel places. 1/10 read more

My friend gets bagels from here all the time and today I stopped in with her for the first time. Place is small and quaint but they have everything you need. Flagels too! My favorite. I got a small container of veggie cream cheese to try because I'm super picky with it. It wasn't bad, could be a little more flavorful though. The bagels here are VERY soft. If you're looking for a hearty doughy bagel, this isn't the place for you. I'm usually a doughy fan but these bagels are nice once in a while. They're light and fluffy. The sandwiches they were making looked great. They've got lots of sweets too to satisfy any sugar cravings. Small selection of chips on the side too. Good selection of drinks. There's also a few small tables to sit and eat. Today it was about 92 degrees and there was no air conditioning, they just had the door open. I really don't know how people were eating inside, or how the workers were alive honestly. It was unbearable even being in there the 15 minutes we waited. God bless them! read more

My lox bagel was a big bagel for a good price and I got a breakfast burrito. That was thick and heavy. Very filling and worth it.

I accidentally stumbled upon this place when I was looking for BGL the brand new place a little bit more closer to me in my area but I was not dissatisfied with the plain bagel and cream cheese that I ordered there was plenty of parking outside even though it's little H seems like a very in and out It looks like it's Cashel me because when you walk in there is an ATM but the minimum credit card is five dollars of course when I when I spent $4.21 on a bagel and a nice tea and I left the rest as a tip I would definitely like to check out the place down the street I've been on this weird bagel kick lately The vehicle was sourced on the on side and nice on the outside the cream cheese was proportionate with the bagel not too much not too little for me to complain Recommend read more

No line is the best part about this place. Everything bagel had just a bit too much salt but the egg inside was cooked to my liking. Could really taste the pepper in my wife's vegetable cream cheese. Some other reviews said bagels not made on site, so I didn't ask. Wasn't sure what I found in a back room though. Would come back again if in a hurry, but there are better options in the area. read more

Moved to the area recently and had been looking for a bagel shop that served soft and fluffy bagels. My previous go to bagel shop was Fresco's on Rte 23 South. But thanks to one of the reviews that mentioned "VERY SOFT" I knew I had to give it a shot and I was NOT disappointed! These are fresh bagels compared to others that are doughy and stiff to bite through. And besides their bagels, their sandwiches are really good. Staff and owner very friendly. read more

Good breakfast spot, cooked to order, big portions, food was piping hot. Service was quick. No complaints

I ordered from them at 11:25 am on grubhub. Then after waiting an hour and a half, I decided to call and see where my order was. They said they never received it! Ok..not a huge deal. So I ordered again over the phone. That was at 1pm...it's now 2:42 and there is NO FOOD!!! I ordered two sausage, egg, and cheese bagels and a 2 liter. Not the hardest thing to make. I'm livid. They're never getting my business ever again. read more

Our go to spot on the weekend for bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Not the best in town but definitely really good. Taylor ham isnt Taylor Ham brand and very thin slices. Everything bagels have oats on it which I find weird and not the traditional everything bagel , but bagels are good. read more

Inexpensive, Delicious, Fast what more can you ask for. This is my second time there and the owner has been welcoming every time. Try the Nova Lox it's delicious. It comes without cream cheese bit I'd suggest getting it on the bagel regardless. Enjoy! read more

I bought a panini from here about 2 or 3 months ago and never forgot about it. It was so delicious and the panini was crunchy but not hard to chew. It felt as though it was melting in my mouth. I don't usually like panini but this was the exception. It was delicious and I would definitely recommend eating here for breakfast. The prices are very fair as well. read more

After moving out of Nutley, we miss this place! To be honest, we haven't had a wide variety of their items, but their breakfast sandwiches are what get them 5 stars. Their egg, cheese and hash brown sandwiches are TO DIE FOR. It's strange, too. They don't make their bagels in house, and this used to bother us. But we have been to several places that do make their own bagels and these ones the bring in are still better! We miss this place. read more

Bagel Plus & Cafe - Pretty good small breakfast spot. The bagels are pretty good. The staff is helpful. I ordered a NY Mets sandwich I was really big and tasty - Bagels Near Me - Nutley, New Jersey

Definitely not the best bagel place, especially in a town so competitive with food. Service is always on the slow side and the girls handle money and grill. Bagels are not made, delivered daily (?) So by 10, they are hard already. They've sold out of popular bagel flavors by 930 on a Sunday twice for me. Their jalapeño cream cheese is just plain with some old pickled peppers put in, not fresh jalapeños like other bagel shops use. Their Taylor ham is not Taylor brand, and they put 2 slices on my bagel and I didn't even get egg on it just 2 pieces of meat and a slice of cheap cheese. Not worth the money. read more

I am a big critic when it comes to bagels, but holy cow this is one of the best bagels I have ever had (and believe me, I've had A LOT). The bagel was huge, soft and had amazing flavor. You could tell it was hand rolled. The great part is that it's right up the street from me. I will be definitely visiting this bagel place going forward. read more

I tried this place out because I am looking for an alternative to my local place (Bob's, which has excellent bagels and famously less than stellar customer service). I have had three experiences with Bagel Plus. First, I had their italian sandwich on a bagel. It was just ok. The bagel was pretty good, but the deli meat was sub-par for this area. It was served with chips which, quite honestly, I could've lived without. The second time, I had a breakfast sandwich. It was delicious. The bagel was fresh, it was served piping hot, and the cheese was melty. It wasn't the cheese I had ordered, but it was good. The last time, I ordered a bagel with cream cheese. It was terrible. It was small and very stale. It didn't look like the bagels I had before. They are friendly people, but that last bagel was no good. I think if I go back I'll ask to make sure the bagel is fresh. read more

I ordered for a family of 4... 1 plain bagel with butter, 1 french toast bagel toasted without butter, 1 french toast bagel with butter, and a bacon egg and cheese on onion bagel. They forgot french toast bagel toasted and put butter on it. The plain bagel they made into an onion bagel with butter. They forgot the bacon egg and cheese on onion bagel entirely. Three out of four in the order either wrong or forgotten. Not the first time my order has been fubar. I'll find another bagel spot thats near by. read more

I've come here twice for breakfast now, both times on a Sunday morning. It's a solid choice - the food and the prices are good. I've gotten the bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel as well as the pork roll, egg, and cheese on a bagel and been happy with both. Staff are friendly, and although it gets crowded sometimes they still get you in and out relatively quickly. read more

It's a nice little place. Not a ton of selections bagel wise, but the ones they do have are delicious. They also have a nice variety of flavored coffees freshly brewed. I would recommend the everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and bacon. Also the French toast bagel with cream cheese was good. I will be back. read more

I go here every morning and never have any problems. The food is good and the service is the best. One of the reviews on Yelp is from a Tara in Rutherford who wrote a bad review. I was there the morning she came in and the owner could not apologize enough about the mistake. He was extremely nice to her and returned the money to her without a second thought. They do not STEAL money from you. If anything there prices are very reasonable. read more

I have never written a review for a restaurant before but my experience here was so irritating I felt I had to. I ordered for delivery- 3 omelettes, a salad, and a coffee. I waited two hours until they got here. Didn't have my coffee. I asked for ketchup on the side, no ketchup. Toast was supposed to come with the omelettes, didn't get toast on any of the three orders. The eggs are cold, no taste to them at all. No salt or pepper, NOTHING. The potatoes that came with the omelettes taste like drywall. Worst $30 I have ever spent and two hours of my life I will never get back. No utensils or napkins, am I supposed to eat with my hands? Horrible. read more

Amazing bagels, excellent sandwiches. Service is great. Owner is one of the nicest down to earth people. Definitely will be back here often!

Great bagels and omelettes, food is made to order, generous portion, friendly staff, and clean restaurant.

Amazing coffe great service I had an awesome experience I've never been so awake in the morning.

Just went to bagel plus on Washington ave. I ordered 2 Taylor ham and cheese sandwiches. The guy forgot to put the cheese on it and he goes oh you want to cheese. It's not to late and then just places it on it. I say can we have the cheese melted. He goes oh you want it melted and I say yes. He then picks up the Taylor ham and cheese with his BARE HANDS. I then say that is against health code to touch the food without gloves. He's says to me my hands are clean. I say it doesn't matter it's still against the law to touch and cook the food without atleast one glove. My family works with food and I know. He then goes ok I will take the pieces off that I touched and give you new ones. Seriously, I now know when the girls aren't working to just not go there. read more
