If you want a real bagel, I'd steer clear. Pale in color and tastes more like a roll. There's oats on the everything bagel which would've been okay if the bagel at at we good. Should've known by the pale color of the bagel that it wasn't gonna be good. Cream cheese also has a sweetness to it, not any Philadelphia here! Also at 3.99 for a bagel with specialty cream cheese I feel that they skimpy on the amount of cream cheese compared to other bagel places. 1/10

I accidentally stumbled upon this place when I was looking for BGL the brand new place a little bit more closer to me in my area but I was not dissatisfied with the plain bagel and cream cheese that I ordered there was plenty of parking outside even though it's little H seems like a very in and out It looks like it's Cashel me because when you walk in there is an ATM but the minimum credit card is five dollars of course when I when I spent $4.21 on a bagel and a nice tea and I left the rest as a tip I would definitely like to check out the place down the street I've been on this weird bagel kick lately The vehicle was sourced on the on side and nice on the outside the cream cheese was proportionate with the bagel not too much not too little for me to complain Recommend

No line is the best part about this place. Everything bagel had just a bit too much salt but the egg inside was cooked to my liking. Could really taste the pepper in my wife's vegetable cream cheese. Some other reviews said bagels not made on site, so I didn't ask. Wasn't sure what I found in a back room though. Would come back again if in a hurry, but there are better options in the area.

Our go to spot on the weekend for bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Not the best in town but definitely really good. Taylor ham isnt Taylor Ham brand and very thin slices. Everything bagels have oats on it which I find weird and not the traditional everything bagel , but bagels are good.

This is the money I would've given to the delivery man if my food would've ever come.

I ordered from them at 11:25 am on grubhub. Then after waiting an hour and a half, I decided to call and see where my order was. They said they never received it! Ok..not a huge deal. So I ordered again over the phone. That was at 1pm...it's now 2:42 and there is NO FOOD!!! I ordered two sausage, egg, and cheese bagels and a 2 liter. Not the hardest thing to make. I'm livid. They're never getting my business ever again.

This place has good food and their prices are reasonable. The bagels are great! They were very friendly and had my food ready quickly.

Pretty good small breakfast spot. The bagels are pretty good. The staff is helpful. I ordered a NY Mets sandwich I was really big and tasty

My lox bagel was a big bagel for a good price and I got a breakfast burrito. That was thick and heavy. Very filling and worth it.

They have great happy hour specials and staff who are there to honor the deals and give you a fun experience. Nothing worse than walking into a bar because of an advertised deal and the bartender charging you full price because they didn't know anything about the deal. That doesn't happen here which is huge!!! They have multiple TVs and seating areas, which make it perfect for watching sports. Drinks are great and food is delicious. We love the chicken quesadilla and wings. The espresso martini was surprisingly good. We love their drink pitchers as well. Overall you can tell they care about the community, and want to offer a reliable and fun experience in an area that doesn't have too many bars like this. We have returned multiple times since the first time because we love the consistency, fun events, and friendly staff. The only thing they could improve on is the music. When there's a DJ, it's a great night, but when it's up to Touch Tunes there's room for improvement. We still will return whenever we are looking for a good time!

This one pound mozzarella stick definitely fulfilled that criteria. It was so gigantic it was almost like getting a workout in just to lift it. The outside was heavily breaded with bread crumbs and the top was sprinkled with parmesan cheese and chopped scallions. Even the dipping cup was supersized to accommodate the diameter of the stick! Typically, I would have posted until after my I finished my oversized food compilation project. However, it's being posted early because The Brookdale is permanently closing its doors. I am truly sad to hear they will no longer be in business, but their three sister restaurants at 1109 Broad Street will still remain open. #thebrookdale #thebigcheese #bloomfieldnj

My mom and sister arrived first and were sat at a table. There was an empty table for six behind them. I was running late from the Newark train station and even though there was an empty table for six next to my family Annette told them they needed to move because "the entire party" hadn't arrived. My family offered to order since I was on my way and had texted my order, but Annette said "that was not the rule" and my 96 YO disabled mom could sit in a bar chair and wait. My sister explained that my mom couldn't get up into the chair to which Annette responded "I don't care. Those are the rules". Everybody else we encountered were all very pleasant. One other employee came over to tell us not to take it personally, "because she's like that to everybody". On the way out one fellow (he might've been the manager) said that she "was in charge of the kitchen." If that is the case, they would be best to put her in the kitchen and lock the door and not let her intimidate and harass customers, especially 90 six-year-old disabled women. She was in my opinion, a miserable, angry hateful womaAs far as the food. It was solid. The Chicken Savoy and the salad were good. The eggplant parm was different. The Italian bread was surprisingly poor. With all of the great Italian bakeries in the area they could easily upgrade the bread. We are one and done. Life is too short to ever have to encounter the vortex of misery that inhabits the kitchen at the Belmont Tavern. Enjoy your visit but best to call ahead and pick a day when Annette is off.

They do have coffee so that's a plus. And the coffee is made with a French press. Very tasty. They have a good menu. Something for everyone. We started off with the guacamole app and clam chowder. The guacamole is plentiful and tasty. Also the salsa was delish too. My table patrons didn't like the clam chowder. They said it was too salty. For the mains we ordered the roasted chicken, hot chicken sandwich and the Cajun seafood alfredo The Hot chicken was divine and huge. You won't be disappointed with that one. Good amount of spice. The roasted chicken was lemon rosemary jus was delicious as well. I ordered the pasta which was supposed to come with jumbo shrimp and andouille sausage. As soon as I received my dish I asked the waitress where the sausage was, she couldn't answer but went to get her manager. The manager said normally it's under the pasta. Still, no sausage in the pasta. They apologized and made the sausage and added it to the pasta. I wish that was the only issue. The menu states that it's a cajun Alfredo sauce and hate to say but this was just bland. Not flavorful at all. 2 waiters recommended it but I'm not sure why. I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5. The portion size was good but again no real taste. Overall this was a nice place. I just need to study the menu and read more reviews about what to order here.

If you get her as your server, it's a start to a pleasant and great meal. Angelina knows what she's talking about! One feedback would be to learn how to better time the serving of the foods. We got our soup and shrimp cocktail as starters but literally 3 minutes later, our entrees were served to the table. Our entrees got cold while we tried to finish our starters. Please look to have the servers better time the serving of entrees AFTER the starters are finished. I had the New England Clam Chowder and the Prime rib. The clam chowder was tasty but lacked clams. They added andouille sausage to the chowder to give it a nice tasty twist but this should not have taken away from the amount of clams expected in a clam chowder. Prime rib was a good thick cut. But served warm and almost at room temperature. Not exactly how I would like my prime rib. Shoe string fries were tasty. My boyfriend ordered the Clam Chowder and Shrimp Cocktail as starters, followed by Cajun Sea Pasta and a bunch of side dishes - southern Coke slaw, black beans and rice and the loaded baked potato. Shrimps in the shrimp cocktail was good sized shrimp topped with old bay seasoning. The pasta was seasoned just right, very tasty and delicious. Cole slaw was crunchy which meant the Cole slaw was freshly made and not sitting in the sauce for too long. Loaded baked potato was of good size and baked to the right softness. Black beans and rice was the only side dish that was a bit too salty but went great when mixed with the baked potato. Overall, we were impressed with Angelina's services, friendliness of the staff and quality of the foods.
