My daughter went to CHRIS for a hair color. She showed him a pic of the exact hair color she wanted. It was caramel brownish. When my daughter came back she was in tears. CHRIS had colored her hair black. even in the sunlight her hair looked black. We called him the next day and he was not ready to accept it.... While I was talking with him on the phone he just hang up the phone. I will DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND CHRIS to anyone. We have been going to this salon for past few years and we always went to KACIE and she is excellent. But that day we could not get her appointment so was stuck with CHRIS. also would like to mention that my daughter had not colored her hair since the pandemic began since March 2020. I've been paying $70 (including tip) for a haircut for the past few years, and this place charged me less than $20!! And I'm happier with this cut than I've been with past, more expensive ones. Chris did a great job; he cut my hair using the exact same technique that my "Master" stylists have used in the past, and he paid attention to what I wanted in the cut. Decided to try out a new haircut place in Plano and after reading Carlos' review, decided to give Beyond Clips a try. This place is less than 5 minutes from my house which make it super convenient. Kacie was just finishing up with a customer so I waited about 5 minutes which was cool since I was engrossed in the latest Entertainment Weekly Fall Movie Preview Issue. I was very happy with the cut. Kacie took her time and paid attention to all the small details. She asked if I wanted a shampoo which I did. After she has you positioned in the shampoo chair, she gets a warm towel soaked in green tea moisturizer. The towel is wrapped around your face while she shampoos your hair. She takes her time shampooing and also massages your temples and scalp. It was SUPER relaxing. I probably could have laid there like that all day. After shampoo, she also conditions your hair. Back to the haircut chair for final blow drying and quick styling with gel. Cost was $20 ($15 plus $5 tip). Well worth the cost. I will definitely be back! read more

I had this place bookmarked on Yelp for quite a while as a potential place to go for my next haircut. I went on a Friday night and the stylists were all with customers, a good sign, but I didn't have to wait long. Bee (I think that was her name) cut my hair and she did a fantastic job! I showed her a picture on my phone of what I wanted and she analyzed it and walked me through what she was going to do. Then she put a lot of effort into my haircut and it turned out great. After my wedding, the first thing I wanted to do was get a HAIRCUT. Long hair just gets in the way... takes forever to dry, even longer to style... ladies, you know what I mean. But since I've been living in Houston the last 2 years, I didn't know where to go. Found this place on yelp & called an hour before I came. Appointment started on time, which was nice! A little bit hard to find, but it's on the SW corner of the intersection, so look there. Parking is plentiful. Lots of magazines too. Got 6+ inches cut off by Kaci-- who was very friendly & good at what she does. She listened to what I wanted & double checked the length I wanted & started cutting. I didn't get anything fancy, so I'm not sure how more complex haircuts fare here, but my trim with a few layers turned out nicely. Got a haircut this past week and very very happy! My buddy recommended this place and when I pulled up, I was hesitant. It looked like a typical womans hair salon. But I trusted my buddy.... For less than $20, I got a VIP haircut that included hair wash before/after, style and mini-neck massage. Kacie was my stylist and she was AWESOME! She took her time, textured my hair using no clippers and was a pleasure to talk to. The drive is far from Las Colinas, but this is my hair! Ever since I moved to McKinney a few months ago, I've been going to this place for my haircut. I just can't trust American haircut places. For some reason they all want me to have a buzz cut. Now, I'm asian so I need someone who understands how asian hair grows and how to cut it as well. You just can't explain that to a Supercut person. I Yelped this place, had good reviews so I tried it. Kacie cut my hair and it was just right! She was kind and friendly and most importantly, attentive and caring. I go to her about every 3 weeks for the last 4 months now. She always remembers my last haircut and what she did and all the stories I have exchanged with her and the conversation is very natural. I've been going to Beyond Clips since August. They've always done a fine job and were considerably less expensive than my other hair cut place. I got my hair dyed by them last Saturday (and it was the second time I'd tried them out for color), and... well... I was less than pleased. I said something at the time, they tried to fix it, I still wasn't thrilled but thought "maybe I'm just nuts..." But I went home, my husband hated it, my sister hated it, my coworkers gave me funny looks.... So I called back and spoke to the manager, Kaci, and told her I was still not very pleased with the color, so she told me to come back in at my convenience. I went in today, and several of the stylists worked with me and tried to figure out the best way to get the color I was seeking and it turned out great! And they didn't charge me to correct the color that I hated. I'm super pleased. They worked with me until I got exactly what I was looking for. Thanks, guys! read more

Really really good job for the price! These ladies are wonderful. I could just sit there for hours while she massaged my head while shampooing. They were really friendly from when I first walked in. Very professional. Like I said just the shampoo part was worth it! Excellent cut and style. I am going to make sure they get my business from now on! Paid $24 including the tip! I was in and out of town and since we were in the neighborhood, I decided to give this place a try. The lady that took care of me was great. She took her time and made sure that I received a great haircut. I got the VIP treatment and the shampoo portion was awesome. I will definitely be going back. The prices weren't bad either: Regular cut $12; Special treatment $16 (includes hair wash); VIP $18 (hair wash + neck and shoulder massage). I have been going to Beyond Clips to get highlights and a haircut since they opened two years ago. My husband gets gets his hair cut at this location by Lee or Kacie and he won't go anywhere else; we even took our toddler for his first haircut here a few months ago. They treated him like a little prince and gave him a "First Haircut Certificate". Christopher is the only stylist who does color; he does a great job and even fixed an "at-home" disaster I created. He changed my orange hair back to blonde and it was not expensive at all for a color correction (my normal full highlight is $55-with a cut $70). I haven't gone anywhere since! They are located on the southwest corner of Springcreek and Coit in a small shopping strip. It's nothing fancy, but a great bargain if you're on budget and can't color or cut your hair at home! read more

I went with my boyfriend and we both got haircuts. His haircut was very good but unfortunately the language barrier played him a bad move. He wanted to grow his hair long and just wanted a small trim and some shaping in the back, and the guy ended up going scissor-crazy and just chopped off all around... I don't know if he understood his directions or if he just LOVES to cut hair.... I was serviced by a very nice girl, she gave my hair a good trim and a nice shape. I didn't even get it styled and my boyfriend paid me several compliments. Mine was $15 and his $13. For this price, you get a very good result. read more

I have been here a couple times for hair cuts. I know people can be very biased based on whether they like their haircuts or not, but I feel like overall, Beyond Clips does a good job giving you a haircut that looks presentable. Since I'm a guy, the options I have for haircuts are a bit more limited. It is even more limited when your parents/sister believe in the "no hair is best hair" philosophy so ever other haircut I get feels like I put my head through a lawnmower. Anyways, I am pretty picky about my haircuts, and to be honest, I usually don't like them for at least a week after I receive the cut (remember the 4 stages of haircuts: 1. hatred, 2. regret, 3. sadness, 4. acceptance). After a week or two tho, i feel like the haircut grows on me (no pun intended), and then I find myself more at peace. Service wise, this place has some really nice ladies working. Everyone is pretty willing to chat with you and don't seem too nosy. Most of the time they seem like they know what they are doing. My mom and sister have also gotten haircuts here, both of whom have really enjoyed the experience. read more

My BF has been getting his haircuts from Kacie since he moved here almost 3 years ago. I had to get my hair done before Christmas and with time constraints I couldn't get it done with my stylist back in Houston. BF made an appointment with Kacie for me and I'm happy that I found a stylist here now! I wanted to dye my hair back to my original color and needed a haircut. Kacie was really sweet and easy to talk to and I was surprised how much she knew about me. She made good recommendations but always let me make up my own mind. My haircut, haircolor, and style was $95 before tip so I was happy! I definitely come back to her for haircuts but I'm not really sure how she is with hair color. I would consult with her if you wanted a certain color melt or bayalage effect. But for the standard color, she's a keeper. They accept walk in's but better to make an appointment to get who you want. read more

A very typical Vietnamese-run salon. The air is thick with hair product smells, and you hear lots of Vietnamese accents (or just straight-up Vietnamese in the background). The hairdressers here are pretty professional, polite, and you can tell they're putting forth a decent effort in their work. I'm not too crazy about the quality though. 9 times out of 10 they would give a subpar haircut that didn't match the pictures I chose. More often than not it would turn into a generic cut that you could find on any cookiecutter shop...which, I guess, makes this just another cookiecutter shop too? Even when I tried to explain it to them, they would be very confused (they don't speak English all too well) and attempt to make a clip here and there... but all I could see was it just got shorter, not better. A decent place if you want a fairly cheap cut, but not so great if you want it done well. read more

I made an appointment here to have my hair out into a very simple updo for a formal event I was attending that night. The updo was a simple French braid that went into a low bun, something I probably could have had a friend do for me but figured I would rather pay to have it done. I showed up and showed the stylist the picture, she seemed a little confused but I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and let her try. After 15 minutes of her attempting to braid my hair (very poorly), I finally had to call it quits and leave. I'm sure there are probably other stylists who may have been able to do what I wanted that were not there that day but I didn't think it was asking much for a simple updo that took another salon 10 minutes to do. I had to bump down a star because multiple times, the stylist would blow out/straighten/curl my hair after a cut without first letting me know that it's an additional $10 charge. I would be fine if you told the customer first so that they have a choice to either accept or decline, but it's not fair to do it then spring this additional charge at the end when I intended to only pay for a haircut. read more

Today, I honestly had a very rough experience at Beyond Clips. I made my appointment weeks ago with Kacie and arrived only a few minutes late after my appointment time. I was then told that she started on another client, so she wouldn't be able to do my haircut. I apologized and even said I could wait for a bit because I've had haircuts done by her before, which I liked. However, she said they were very busy and that I could get my hair cut by someone else. I was quite upset at this request, but I reluctantly agreed. At the end of my haircut, when I asked the man Chris to style my hair (showed pictures of what I wanted- beach waves/curls), the curls did not match to what I had requested. The whole experience felt very rushed, especially when he was curling my hair because the curls were not even. This also made me very emotional and sad. Lastly, the sign at the front of the salon says $35-45 for a haircut, shampoo, and style, yet I was charged more. Not sure if I will come again :( read more

A neighbor recommended Beyond Clips when we moved to Plano 9 years ago and even after moving to Little Elm, we are still loyal customers. They are the first and only salon that everyone in our family has been happy with and they have done a much better job than any of the expensive salons I've tried in the past. You can't beat the prices @ $20 for an adult haircut, $15 kids. We make same day appointments or walk-in, and if our favorite stylist(s) are busy or have the day off we are actually comfortable going to another stylist... which is NOT something I would of ever done at another salon. We love coming to get our hair cuts (all at once) and having lunch a few doors down at Densetsu... yum! read more

ZERO stars (I was forced to select a star to submit this review)!!! I just walked out of this salon. I had a 10:30am appointment with Lee. I walked in at 10:25 for my appointment behind one other woman. This was my first time to this salon. The other woman, who walked in 2 steps in front of me, had NO APPOINTMENT...she was a walk-in...and she was honest in stating that she had no appointment. The woman behind the counter greeted her and asked what she needed. Then the same woman greeted me and I explained I had a 10:30 with Lee. Turns out it was Lee who had greeted us both. She took the walk-in to service her first and asked me to WAIT!!!! I waited 20 minutes and then walked out of the salon, furious! I will never go back. Charged me a Hundred for cut, style, color when the price on the board was 45 or 55 I think. Cut was good and I thought it was gonna turn out OK but since he was trying to see other people too, i guess to make more money, he left color on the back of hair longer than he did the one on the front. So only the back of my hair had decent color on it the front was like small strips you barely notice. I wasted money and they butchered my hair color. I'm not coming back. read more

I've been going here once a month for a year now. When they first opened they were great and actually cared. The past two times I've gone have been absolutely horrible. Last month I went to get my haircut and Chris nicked my ear while buzzing the back of my head. It hurt a little but he just brushed it off with a rag and kept on cutting so I didn't think anything was wrong. I paid and left to go about my day. It wasn't until a few hours later, when a friend finally pointed it out to me, that I realized I had been bleeding for a while and a small stream of clotted blood had dried from the top of my ear down to my earlobe. How could anyone let a customer not only pay for such a bad mistake but also let them leave without telling them??? So I went back yesterday thinking maybe my last trip was a fluke. This time was even worse. While I didn't get cut again, the haircut was awful. The man (not Chris, don't know who it was) spent less than 10 minutes cutting my hair, ignored my requests, and said a comb-over was the "new style" (yeah right buddy, stop being so lazy and learn how to cut hair). This time when he took a razor to my head, he neglected the guard and raked the teeth over my neck repeatedly making me wince and flinch the entire time. It didn't help that the razor teeth were clearly bent and I could feel the ragged edges scraping constantly against my skin. I eventually stopped trying to get him to fix my hair so that the pain would stop. This is the first and last time I will ever be cut and tortured by Beyond Clips. STAY AWAY read more

I have been going to this saloon for about five months and have had nothing but great experiences from the customer service to the quality of the haircuts from all the ladies, especially Kacie. I must warn you to STAY AWAY FROM CHRIS. He did not listen to me and left a sloppy and uneven haircut. It wasn't just not the right style but he left chunks of hair that were longer than the others. There's no excuse to this other than just sloppy and unprofessional work. When I kindly asked him to remove a little bit of volume and keep the length on the sides he took the buzzer and a comb, and just removed the length of the hair in a rushed and pissed off way. I could not have been more clear when I said to just remove the volume and keep the length. Now I'm stuck with a bad haircut that reminds me of what a horrible job Chris did. What's worse is that I truly liked enjoyed going to this hair saloon but Chris might have ruined it for me and my girlfriend Five out of Five stars for Kacie, Lee, Be, the other lady and ZERO for Chris. read more

I get my cuts from Liep. I am from Los Angeles and being a typical Californian, I consider myself very picky with my haircuts. After searching around Plano for about 6 months, I ended up at Beyond clips and I can finally put my hair worries to rest.
