Sunny is a hair wizard! As I waited in line, I watched her single-handedly carve masterpieces out of the long-haired clients in line ahead of me. She asked if I had a photo of the style I wanted. I didn't--instead I told her that I only needed a shorter cut, maybe with some layers, and a taper to a V-shape that could still fit in a ponytail, something professional and neat... and within 15 min, I was looking at the manifestation of my words in the mirror. Been here so many times I feel like I should leave a review. Came here on a rec from a friend for a cheap haircut for East Asian hair. $15 for men's. My wife's was $30. Sunny who is the owner is awesome. She has over 40 years (probably much more) of haircutting experience and it shows. She's fast and efficient. But due to that, there is often a long line for her on the weekends or in the evenings (she is on the right side of the salon when you come in). Maybe around 10 chairs/spots to sit while you wait. The other stylist I've met (only 2 total working at a time) is okay. She has 7+ years of experience, but she admitted to me she does not have Sunny's skill. She typically takes longer than Sunny. If I did not have a crucial life event coming up, I wouldn't mind having her cut my hair instead of Sunny. For my engagement, wedding, and job interviews though, I asked for Sunny :) read more

Sunny Clips is a wonderful salon. Sunny cut my daughter and my hair beautifully. I showed her several pictures of the type of hair style I liked and she actually made it very similar and she worked fast. I really loved my hair cut and apparently a lot of people did too as I had compliments on my hair for weeks. I brought my hubby for a haircut today about half an hour before closing and he was like are you sure that's enough time and I said he'll be done in less than 15 minutes and he was. The other lady cut his hair and she did a great job too, not as fast as Sunny though, but still good. The price is great but don't expect anything other than a haircut. If you want shampoo or other things, you will need to pay for that. For me, I just want the cut because I like to wash my own hair and style it myself so this was perfect. read more

There might be not many yelp reviews about this hair salon but I can tell that this salon is popular. We came here for our boys haircut as our friends have been recommending this place. It is an Asian Hair salon. The main person who is also the most popular hair stylist is an older Korean lady who is very skilled and fast in cutting hair. There is also another Korean lady (dont know their names) and she cut my boys hair! But they all converse very well in English. Their prices are very reasonable for kids under 13 it's only 10$ what a steal! I also saw that they offer many services such as digital and japanese perm and their prices are very reasonable! Cheaper than most other places Their website states that they welcome walk ins, so we opted to come here as soon as they open at 9am on Saturday. But when we arrived around 8:55am we were surprised to see that there were already 7 customers in front of us waiting for their hair cut. Wow! This busy! Im assuming that they open at 8am on Saturdays. To the hair cut! My boys and I were very pleased with the outcome! They all said that this was their favorite hair cut and that she actually cut their hair exactly how they like it. She didn't rush, cut their hair very detailed oriented and they looked pretty good. My new favorite hair salon! I'm a brunette with long, straight hair. I avoided going to the salon for over a year and a half, just trimming up my own hair in the meantime and let it grow out a lot. My main reason was because I was getting so sick of being pigeon-holed into spending a lot of money for a haircut that's merely decent and not trusting any stylist to do a satisfactory job or listening to what I wanted. I was getting frustrated not having the desires for my haircuts met and just about gave up on ever being satisfied anywhere. Who knew something like getting a nice haircut at a reasonable cost would could be so difficult? Finally deciding I needed a real professional cut, I found this place on Yelp, about 0.6 miles from my house. With good reviews and prices I decided to give it a shot, even though I was hesitant to do something that usually leaves me upset and frustrated afterwards. For one thing, I love that they are open every day of the week, and that I could be a walk-in at 2pm on a Sunday and have a minimal wait (just one guy in front of me). The ladies running the place were very friendly and accommodating, offering me a drink while I waited and thanked me for coming in. Sunny focused on my hair and didn't try to small talk (which I loved, I just want a stylist not distracted). The whole cut plus styling took about 20 minutes. I just wanted a few inches off and layers. I wasn't sure if there would be a language barrier and if my vision would be met, but amazingly enough she did EXACTLY what I wanted. She listened to me and didn't stray from what I told her at the beginning, which is an experience I've rarely had. The price for my favorite haircut I've ever gotten? $18. I also asked for a long layer with a side bang. No one asked me which way I parted my hair. I left with a stacked cut. I was recommended by one of my friend for hair perm and i was really excited for it as it was my first time for perm. I had long hair but it had split ends and colored hair and I even asked them if its safe for my hair to do perm and they said its fine. It will be okay. so, I wanted to cut the damaged part and perm it but I am highly disappointed with the result. I am very sad that I took the decision to go there now. I had some extra time while visiting family this past weekend, so I decided to get my hair done - and Sunny Clips treated me WONDERFULLY! I wanted something a little different - I had short, bleached hair with about an inch of brown roots, and decided to go completely silver, with rose highlights in front. It took two rounds of bleaching to get my roots to match my already bleached bangs, and then color and highlights on top of that, so I was there a while - but the conversation was great and the general atmosphere was really welcoming. I never got the feeling that they were tired of working on my hair, which is nice when you're going through a several-step process. I also got a microderm facial treatment, which was great! I came out of it seriously feeling like the skin on my face was smoother and healthier -- and I won't specify the price just in case they raise it at some point, but I *will* say it was less than HALF what I was just quoted last week for the same service at Massage Envy! Nothing against Massage Envy - I love them - but I can't afford their prices on a frequent basis, so I was thrilled to find services just as good, and so affordably priced. Seriously, it's hard to find someone who can do cut, color, and perms, all the while charging you half of what those high rent salons ask for. The place is clean and bright, the music is ambient, and you walk away looking 100 times more fabulous than before you stepped foot in the salon. So my 19 month old son has been getting haircuts at kid cut places since he was a year old and he has HATED every single haircut. I was going to try another kid cut place but another mom recommended this place and I thought why not? I am SO glad I tried this place.
