Loved the result, but strictly bc I am a last minute scheduler of stuff I began going to one of the local chains and even got a membership there. Well I went back to Laura last week due to some random chain of events and... WHOA!!! Ya'll the difference is noticeable immediately! The lashes themselves seem almost shinier, and more lush than the ones I had from the chain...and the Classic set I got were comparable and even better than the Volume that I was paying more for at other places. And if her work wasn't enough, Laura is sweet, kind and gracious while maintaining the upmost level of professionalism and pride in her craft. She doesn't have a traditional website; her instagram serves the purpose of listing services, dates, etc.... which was a little confusing to an old lady like me. She should have looked at the example I showed her and said, "I can't give you anything close to this look with the extensions I have." Instead, she said she only had C or D curl and thicker lashes. Since I have never had extensions before, I had no idea the dramatic difference this would make. They looked like fake lashes, not anything like the example I showed her. After I saw my extensions and wanted them changed, she said she was booked up the rest of the month but we could pay $20 to have them removed. I ended up trimming them with scissors because they were way too long and will be going to a different salon to have them removed and reapplied.

I had the same technician as last time named Esther, she kindly greeted me as I arrived for the appointment and took me to her room. Her hands were so gentle when she rested them on my forehead that I barely felt them throughout the process. I practically fell asleep during the whole thing. She's always so consistent and never fails to exceed my expectations! My lashes turned out super natural looking, but voluminous. I love how they turned out! Esther did a really great job attaching the lashes, barely any have fallen off. The longest that they've lasted so far! Esther always gives me the lash look that I envision and ask for. Their shop is in a grocery plaza so parking is plentiful. The inside is spacious and clean, with separate areas for manicures and pedicures. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I am a picky customer and my nail technician Thuy was so patient and communicative working with me to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. She had such a light hand filing my existing gel off, and a very good eye for shape and symmetry. I came in thinking I would get oval nails as usual, but she suggested almond and thankfully I took her word for it. Some of my nails and fingers are a bit wonky, so I have always feared that something pointier like almond would emphasize the asymmetry. However, she did an amazing job with the shape and I am now an almond convert. Thuy also has a remarkably steady hand, and my cuticles remained spotless with no stray gel streaks to be cleaned up. I opted for a polka dot pattern and she absolutely nailed the spacing. She moved with care to ensure that each dot was round, equidistant, and the same size, erasing and restarting when needed. Sizen nails is currently running a 20% off mani and pedi as of 5/14/26, and the prices are AMAZING. My gel mani with designs on all 10 fingernails was $44. As someone used to California prices, my jaw dropped when she showed me the total. I think I found my nail salon in NC, and will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Its a shame I really liked this place, had a pretty great experience getting a piercing done…read more Unfortunately the piercing was the problem, it was done at an angle with the wrong jewelry and a year later still hurts and has a bump now. I've gone back to them for questions over time and been told some wildly different things between their piercers. I've since moved to a different studio and had to have my downsized bar taken out becasue it seems inkvictus downsized mine when it wasn't ready. I've been told my options are to wait it out and live with a messed up job, or let it close up and have it redone. Its upsetting to have a hack job done on your body. It's also come to my attention some problematic practices going in within the studio, I won't be supporting them anymore.

I decided to book an appointment with Bre who has been in the field for a little over two years. I booked powder brows and lash line enhancement (eyeliner). I have a tattoo on my arm so I was super excited to scratch that itch one knows to have after getting a tattoo. When I entered the studio, immediately I was greeted by everyone there. I felt so incredibly welcomed and comfortable. The studio is fun, vibrant, and fun. I felt incredibly relaxed. Bre was AMAZING. We talked about our travels, mostly, which is a favorite topic of mine. She was informative about everything, guided me along the way, gave me a bathroom break, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the 3.5 hours I was there. Numbing cream definitely helped because there were some areas that I was feeling some scratching but it didn't bother me any (honestly, it's an adrenaline rush if anything). The eyeliner was a weird feeling at first but after a few minutes, I was comfortable and my eyes relaxed. Honestly, I expected worse. This was easy! I've been waking up every morning with a huge boost of confidence without even doing my makeup! I go in for an included touch-up next month and I even booked a lash lift and tint for March! When I went back for my fill in, it was horrible! Even when the studio fixed my lashes, still horrible. Luckily, I know Sarah and know for a fact she is experienced, and does an amazing job, EVERY SINGLE TIME. She was able to get me back to where I wanted to be. I have learned a lesson. The online booking process was super easy, and provided very detailed instructions of what to do once you arrive. The application took about 1.5 hours, and the environment in the studio is calm and relaxing (i almost fell asleep a few times, because I was so relaxed. haha). They have several after care products available in the studio, and you are sent home with detailed instructions on how to care for your lashes and make them last. My lashes look beautiful, and I'm very happy with the final results (I've already received so many compliments on my lashes, and I've only had them for one day)!
