I cannot recommend this shop enough!!! I was in town for a 4 day workshop, after a 12 hour drive my car was making scary noises so we knew we should not drive it home without getting it checked out. After spending $1800 a different shop, the noises were still there. We decided we needed a second opinion. The people at Bexley were amazing! They checked the previous work and found the actual problem. The repair service and the staff were wonderful. More importantly, the owner (Kyle), went above and beyond for the comfort of my mother. She was dealing with the car for me and does not like to drive in the city. On the first day that they had the car Kyle called her and told her he wanted to show her the issue, when she said she would grab an Uber, he insisted on picking her up! After he walked her through the issues with the car, he drove her back! During their time in the car together he asked how she was liking Columbus. She said she had not had much time to explore since she had been dealing with the car. She had really wanted to check out the Conservatory but didn't think she would make it after all. This place is top notch. The customer service I received can not be beat. As an extremely busy medical professional, my time is so limited and everyone I dealt with at Bexley Automotive respected this and found a way to work with me including bringing a loaner car to my work and taking my car in for service. The key drop off is so easy and secure. My car was given the star treatment and when something was not working correctly after the initial round of repairs, they insisted on taking the car back, giving me the loaner for another day and making it right. I told them I was about to leave on vacation with my sons to the Eastern Shore of Maryland and they went over my car with an eye on safety specifically for my trip. It ran like a dream the whole way there and back and still is. I will bring all of my automotive business here from now on and tell my friends and family to do the same. read more

Bexley Automotive is awesome! They are professional, kind, understanding and very willing to explain the necessary repairs they recommend. I very recently had a full front brakes (rotors, pads, calipers, lines, hoses) job done on my 2000 Toyota Tundra... and while it was on the post job test drive, the passenger side ball joint dropped out... luckily it was not me driving 70 mph down the freeway... so, the repair bill jumped suddenly to over $1,000... they understood our situation and arranged a 6 month same as cash payment. The best thing about Bexley Auto is that all estimates are done free of charge. The owner, who is both interested and involved with his clientele, insists that no one should be charged to find out how much it would cost to get something fixed. While this is laudable, I am unsure whether or not he simply works his cost into his quotes. Either way, this shop should certainly be considered for a second opinion (at the very least). As for my personal experiences with the shop; it is a mixed bag. On one hand, they seemed very honest and helpful, keeping me in the loop on what was happening at the shop and allowing me to make the tough decisions. Even going so far as to put in a fuel injector for free once it became apparent that I wasn't interested in spending any more money with the shop on that particular vehicle. On the other hand, he wasn't able to identify the problem with my car without first doing a major tuneup which cost roughly $500. I know I didn't take care of the car so it is fully possible that it needed it, but I still would rather not spend $500 to find out that my car will cost too much to fix. These mechanics are awesome, and they do not try to squelch you for all your money on unnecessary repairs. They tell it the way it is and then they notify you on what YOU want done after they inspect the car. We have been with them for 4 years now and will continue to go here. That story your grandparents told can be yours, too. Bexley Auto is a straight shooting company that is locally owned and that owner, Kyle, is actually on-site helping people. They give you estimates, options, and will actually speak to you and walk you through what is going on with your vehicle. We have had 3 fairly major repairs at very reasonable prices, including a clutch & flywheel replacement and a timing belt replacement. Not to mention batteries, all kinds of oils, and routine maintenance. They treat my wife and I with respect even though we know very little about vehicles. Well, I was waiting to be taken advantage of but to my surprise, quite the opposite. Last time I had my car serviced (another place) I was told I needed new shocks. I did hear squeaking and told myself the ride did feel a bit rough (Jedi mind tricks lol). So after awhile and having all my friends tell me I need new brakes I decided to find someone and get a few quotes. Yelp is usually my go to place because I want to know what the actual user thinks. Anyway, Bexley Automotive had the best review so I figured, why not. I called and spoke with Kyle, he explained my options but let me know until he can look at my car there's no way to actually give me an accurate quote. This is usually when I get nervous, you take your car in they see the problem (sometimes) but then find other "major problems" that if you don't fix now will cost you more down the road. Now the price is doubled and you're thinking, would it be cheaper to buy a new car? Well, they did find other things wrong with my car but it was things I sort of knew needed done but put off. With that said, my shocks were ok and the stuff that needed to be done wasn't even close to what I would have paid for my shocks. Not only did I save money but I was dropped off at home while they worked on my car AND my car was delivered to me. This was a first for me. Usually it takes a lot to impress me and as unimpressive as this may seem to some, I was impressed. I'm thinking, this might be my new mechanic until proven otherwise (I hope not though). read more

I had been looking for a place that was trustworthy to take my car since I moved to Columbus 6 years ago. Bexley Automotive is a hometown place. I took my car there due to a recommendation from a woman I work with. I wasn't disappointed. The secretary was so helpful, welcoming and nice. They called me before they made any repairs and talked to me about what needed fixed. They discussed with me what needed to be done sooner due to safety concerns and what would need fixed in the near future but wasn't urgent. What really surprised me was just recently (a couple weeks after my car was there), they sent me a postcard thanking me for my business and reminding me of what things to keep an eye on with my car. I will certainly be taking my car back for future services. AND...I've since "liked" their Facebook page. They seem to run specials here and there for general maintenance things (one that I saw was for buy one get one free windshield wipers). read more

I have been going to Bexley Auto Repair for several years now and have never had a bad experience. I started using them because the shop is a short walk from my house, but I've kept on coming back because of their superior customer service and honesty. They always call me up and describe what work needs done in detail. They give the price up front without me having to ask and always give me a follow up call the next day to make sure everything is working okay. I always ask them to show me what work was done and where when I pick my car up and they always patiently oblige. I could probably save a few bucks by taking it to other shops way across town, but to me it is worth it to have trust in my mechanic. I always read bad reviews from other garages saying how work was only partially done or parts were found missing, but I am confident that I won't have this experience with Bexley Auto Repair. read more

Keith Harris, the owner calls you personally and goes over what he feels should be fixed, which problems can wait for a later date and what the total cost will be. Both Keith and Dawn, the office manager, greet you with a smile. Dawn will stop what she is doing and take care of you immediately. I have never felt taken advantage of in 20 years.
