"BevMo!" is a welcome sight when I can't make it to my main spot Total Wine, they have a nice selection of wine and the ones I've seen are near grocery stores, so saving a bit of money grabbing liquor from BevMo is sure to save a few bucks. This particular BevMo is well kept up and stocked. The latest visit was to take advantage of the "buy 2 for 1" promotion they were running. All around the store there were products following that deal but seemed to be mostly things that were likely overstocked and needed to be liquidated down, but a few whiskeys were part of the deal as well as 'buzz balls'. The few times I've visited even if not getting anything the staff have been friendly and that continued with this latest visit. Selection, service and promotion aside it's no match for Total Wine in my book which has the same strengths, but better value from what I can tell. Still if BevMo! is likely the better choice than the raggedy liquor store near it or the local grocer unless they too are running a deal. read more

BevMo has been my beacon in these bleak times. They have been there to see me through on the tough socially-isolated days when I didn't even really need social interaction since I'm so introverted. This is mainly because the payoff is alcoholic comfort, but customer service has played a large part. They took responsibility in social distancing measures when things were bleakest, by requiring you to place an online order and pickup right outside the store while staying six feet apart from each other and wear your masks like responsible homo sapiens. Can't tell you how many balloon-brained mofos I encountered while picking up my orders, who were upset that they couldn't go inside and spread their germs all over the store during a pandemic. And no, I have no sympathy for you. STFU and try having some compassion for your fellow humans, and STFU again. But the BevMo employees always handled these troglodytes very well and calmly explained reality to them. And even though BevMo has been able to resume in-store shopping recently, that may potentially be put on hold again soon thanks to a bunch of yahoos in Yakima, but we'll see how this plays out. At any rate, with my upgraded need for alcohol lately, their excellent prices on Tito's and Deep Eddy vodkas, and the BevMo employees who have come to recognize me over the course of this tumultuous year without judgement, my hat's off to this BevMo location, and I happily give them my money and undying love. read more

All options including delivery, curb side pickup, mobile ordering or in store shopping make it convenient not to order your favorite drinks from BevMo. Mobile ordering could be clumsy at times. BevMo regularly offers two for price of one promotion specially in wine selection. Generally most products are well stocked. BevMo also carries snacks and party supplies for one stop shopping for parties. Staff is friendly and on site security help a sense of safety. They refused to sell me a bottle of whiskey because my driver's license was expired even though the DOL has extended all expiring licenses dates by 90 days due to the pandemic(Mine's only 7 days expired). They don't communicate this anywhere on their website or in store and so the only way to find out is to make a trip their, pick up a bottle of liquor, wait in line in a store and then have a clerk tell you that you have waisted your time. In a time when businesses are asking people to be flexible it's unfortunate that this is the approach they have taken. read more

I don't drink wine, and have never bought wine from a BevMo.** I've been a Club Bev member for over 10 years, and shopped in numerous BevMos on the west coast. Typical Big Box store mentality. Good selection of beers, but the prices really aren't any better than Safeway or Fred Meyer. Selection is obviously better though. Some ass-monkey working behind a cash register once refused to give me an empty cardboard box because he was "trying to save some for people who shop later in the day." I know for a fact they recycle more boxes than they give out to people. Plus why am I being penalized because these idiots didn't think to shop earlier in the day like me? What kind of fucking mentality is this? Oh right, the uber leftwing communist ideology plaguing Seattle right now. If you are looking for a hard to find beer, go to Total Wine instead. The Tres Agaves tequila mix is $3 more here than at Fred Meyer or Total Wine. Maybe not a lot of a price difference, but enough to make me go to one of their competitors. I have not checked other prices but I suspect similar price differences as well. read more

Been there 2x over last month and both times, they were out of what I came to purchase (Jameson and NA beer). They were offering a deal- buy two for 40$- wasnt a great deal esp since they were saying the original price of a 750ml of Jameson was $39.99. How? When I found out there was no Jameson, I got Jamesons IPA edition- another purchase 2 for 44$. When asked if I could get a 3rd at that price, there was a firm NO. I get it but it woulda been nice to offer it esp since they were out of the original Jameson. More importantly though- the prices here are much higher than elsewhere. I went in b/c of a good deal which was no longer avail and as I scoured the options, the prices- esp for Bourbon- are higher here than at TotalWine. Save your money. Saving grace here- at least the cashier was friendly. read more

BevMo is a revelation. I have no idea why I haven't come sooner. Not only is it huge and filled with interesting liquor and bottle shapes to look at, but there are countless snacks, mixers, toppings, sugars/salts, even a cold case of well priced cheeses and meats for drinking accouterments, glassware... PERFECT party stop. We picked up liquor for a party of 10-20, which ended up being 6 minis, two liters, and three regular sized bottles, along with 4 six packs of Fremont beer and a case of PBR. Some liquor chocolates, bubbles, ginger beer, and root beer made it in as well. AMAZING price discount with the BevMo club, which is essentially like a grocery star club card - free to sign up and discounts galore. Will be purchasing here in the future! read more

Beware of their buy one get one wine deals - there's a couple bottles hidden in there where it works out in your favor, but I found that some of their "buy one" price is simply double the price it's sold elsewhere... google search before you buy. read more

Now that Washington's liquor stores are privatized, we find ourselves going to BevMo! for our home bar stock-up needs. This particular location isn't the biggest, but it's well maintained, has a good selection, and features more premium brands than some of the other stores. They have a large wine selection and frequently have BOGO sales, which sounds like a pretty good deal. They have domestic and draft beer and cider in singles and multi-packs, and a big selection of those little airplane bottles -- nice if you want to try something before committing to a bottle or you're not sure how you would use it. In addition to booze, they have salty snacks, refrigerated cases with meats and cheeses and dips, a large glassware/barware selection, and disposable party supplies. Plus, of course, plenty of mixers, sodas, and fancy stuff like flavored bitters. During the holidays, they have a good selection of those boxed sets with branded glasses, flasks, and other bonus items, if you're into those. The staff has been friendly and helpful when we've been in, greeting us when they walk past and asking if they can help find anything. This BevMo! location is pretty standard as far as BevMo!s go. There is plenty of parking, and the store is in a good location. They have so many different options, and the people working there are available to help if you have any questions. The man who rung me up was very friendly and provided awesome service. I used BevMo delivery app to find a low carb beer. The beer I ordered first wasn't in stock so a BevMo staff member called me right away to let me know. False Advertising! Went in for 2-for-1 wines, told I had to have a membership for the discount so I signed up for membership. Then was told after applying that 2-for-1 was only on select wines, even though advertising didn't say that. If I had gone to QFC, I would have saved $4 per bottle. Higher than usual prices and staff that isn't necessarily the best at answering questions. I'd only return here if I didn't have another option. Yes, they have snacks that you can grab en route to your gathering, but you can also get that at a grocery store too. There's nothing remarkable about the BevMo experience that can't be gotten elsewhere and improved. Four of us went in to pick up two bottles of wine and the guy needed all of our ids and wouldn't let the purchase go though without all four. Three of us had it and he told us to go home or get the fourth id to make the purchase. We went through BevMo to order alcohol for our wedding. We had a great experience working with Veronica, who was able to find us some tasty wines from Washington and Oregon within our budget. FINALLY - a BevMo in Ballard! BevMo was my Go-To spot for booze when I lived in California. And, you have no idea how thrilled I am now that they are in my 'hood! Don't get me wrong... I like the liquor store down by the Ballard Locks... it's within walking distance of my house... and the QFC a block and a half away from my house is nice, too... but BevMo has THE best selection, hands down! BevMo has my beloved Hangar One vodka (in every one of my favorite flavors) from Alameda, CA... and it's reasonably priced! The selection definitely cannot be beat... I had a hard time narrowing down my options while looking for bourbon for our home bar. So.Many.Choices! They have a walk in cooler filled with yummy beer... they carry an assortment of brews, so whether you're looking for local, national or international, chances are they'll have something for you. Need a growler... they've got growlers for you to purchase (not sure if you can bring in your own), and if you're in need of a keg, BevMo's got you covered! They have glassware, party bags, cheese, snacks, wine, champagne, and so much more! And, the staff was super friendly and overly helpful (in a good way!) when I was in the other day. Bevmo is just ok. Their selection is mixed, they have some good selections in liquor categories, but do not have enough. Not sure if they have some deal with certain brands and only carry that brand products, but they do not carry all the brands. Their prices are not that great unless they have a special going on. Their so called " membership prices " are really weak. You have to spend $250.00 to get a 5% discount, then start over again. I have yet to receive any discounts and they claim they are working on it ? The staff is good and they have food items, barware, pretty decent selection of beer. I do not think their wine selection is very good and the prices seem high. Way better off at Ballard Thriftway for wine. Good location and big parking lot. read more

While BevMo has a nice selection and is convenient, they are receiving 1 star due to the fact that they unnecessarily scan drivers licenses. This is apparently a new process for the Ballard store. The sales clerk gave a variety of stories as to why they scan licenses. Everything from "anyone who looks under the age of 50", to "needing to be sure your license hasn't expired", to needing to "scan the license of anyone who enters the store". Basically the sales person didn't know and was just following company directives. Being caught unaware by this, I had my license scanned for a purchase of chips and ice. As I do not know what BevMo does with the scanned information I will likely not shop there anymore. Scanning a drivers license of someone who looks underage and is attempting to purchase alcohol is one thing, but scanning everyone's license is invasive. BevMo needs to rethink its policy. read more

Places like this is what we all wanted in Washington when we voted to kick the government out of the liquor business and open it up. I can't say that BevMo has the best selection around, but it's pretty darn good. The have an entire aisle of IPAs, which is my favorite type of beer. I stopped by here the other day to fill some growlers and get some wine for a party, since they were having a 2 for 1 wine sale. I know very little about wine, except for the fact that I prefer red to white, so it was nice to have a salesperson help me pick out a bottle of each. Horrible customer service!!! I called and got a price from mark of a champagne. I was told it was on sale for $49.99 When I arrived to the store with my husband. I was helped by Omar. I located the champagne I wanted and the price tag was shared between the rose and yellow label. When I get checked out i told the Omar the price was labeled $49.99. As he went to go check he said It was price wasn't shared with the yellow veuve champagne. That is was a new product and had no label. I informed that when I called that was the price I was given By mark. The manager on duty was Joe I think was he's name he said he would override the price. But the cashier said no. At this point I was very upset that not only did the cashier tell a MANAGER to not override the price. But also got loud with us about not honoring the price given threw the phone and on the label. My husband still wanted the bottle so we paid full price on it. My husband upset told the manager they should have a label or change it . MANGER TOLD HIM "YOU SHOULD CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE" I asked for their names because I was very unsatisfied with the service not only did the manager not want to give me his name. But the cashier walked away as I was asking for his name. At this point I'm following him as he VERY RUDELY walks away. He finally says his name was Omar. Everyone I think I will find what I want, I am disappointed. The prices BevMo charges are higher than a great deal of other places, not to mention the selection of beer I find to be...lacking.
