One time I was in the store, a staff nutritionist was working. I asked her numerous questions regarding my older cat and his recent diagnosis of kidney disease. She was able to set up a nutrition plan. Recently, I was speaking with one of the staff members about my cat's behavior. She recommended a calming supplement that has really worked well. My husband and I took our two basset hounds in at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, January 20 to do self washes. A worker there informed us, despite the fact we were the only customers in the store, that we could not put one dog in each of the store sinks, and that we could either wash both dogs in one sink together, or only one dog in a single sink at a time, but could not occupy two separate sinks with tow persons to wash the two dogs. I asked the worker "aren't we paying per dog"? Which of course they said we would be, but they refused to allow us to use both sinks because "it would mean the next customer who would come in would find both sinks in use use and would have to wait"! Now, I realize the person working isn't a rocket scientist, but considering how it would then take us twice as long to wash the dogs, I didn't see the negative impact one way or the other, especially since it was a feeling cold winter afternoon and the place was deserted at the time. We politely left and refused to use this store for that or any future business, and I would discourage you from using Wag N Wash in Beverly based on how rude they were to us when we were, in fact, the only customers in the store. We headed to the Natural Dog in Danvers, where their staff was very friendly and we used their self wash and the person working was very nice and we had a great experience! Wag N' Wash in Beverly was once a great place to go, and it was always busy at the self wash. I would never set foot in that place again now, and I would urge you to look elsewhere for self wash. find some more deserving business like the Natural Dog to spend your money.

Their case in the back of the store had several different options of biscuits to bring home in cute shapes! We opted for the lobster biscuit (we were in New England after all!). The only reason I knocked off a star is because the biscuit was a little bit hard for her to chew and the red dye in the icing got ALL over her beard and on the rug. I would still say this is a great little shop to patronize!

The staff is beautifully organized by animal and the staff were hard at work offering pet food suggestions to dog owners with complex health issues. As I listened to their suggestions, I was impressed with their level of knowledge and care for all their customers. They seem to offer a wide variety of foods, toys, grooming supplies, and collars/leashes. I also saw on their social media pages that they have a mobile grooming salon! I believe I read they have an upcoming nail clip for cats and dogs and are donating the $15 to local animal rescues for pets in need. I thought that was so classy, philanthropic and kind. We first purchased Chief in September 2014 and the day we brought him home he wouldn't stop coughing, and he had diarrhea, among other things. We brought him to the vet and after $1,000 vet bill he was much better. November 2014 rolls around and we get an email from pet express highlighting the new dogs that are at the store and immediately notice another Shiba. We instantly had to go see if she was sick and if she was related to our first Shiba. Of course I noticed her coughing immediately and while we were playing with her we asked them to see her papers. Same fake "breeder" name and they also provide you with a family tree that our current dog was on, he was her uncle. How does an uncle and niece end up being two months apart????? Anyways we purchased her on the spot, picked her up the next AM and immediately took her to the vet. Same issues and same vet bill. One thing the dogs do come with is some type of warranty within the first 7 days or something that you can get your vet bills paid, I ended up getting reimbursed for most of the cost of their initial vet bills - but it took months. I don't support pet express and the horror show they put these puppies through. If you have a chance take a ride by the Lynn store to see all the grown puppies in cages that no one buys from the other stores. It's sad. I did however find the two loves of my life who have ended up being amazing.
