The service and beer were good. The fish tacos were tasty and the wings were average.

Second visit Staff always great…read morePLEASE consider keeping the 2 MANGOS all year round, both AMAZING

(Drank 09/10/25 WE @ 5:00pm): Was there anything radical about this brewery down the road?…read more Radical Road Brewing was the seventh brewery on this Toronto trip and the third of the day. If you knew me, I always researched for any breweries that may be near wherever I was traveling. Co-founded by Simon da Costa and Jon Hodd, the name came from the actual Radical Road in Edinburgh, Scotland - a footpath built after the Radical War of 1820 where the same co-founders first dreamed of opening a brewery. Did the road that led me here produce any radical brewings to drink!? PURCHASE(S) Radical Road Brewing Co. Cucumber Mint Kolsch Beer 16floz Draft ($8.17CAD): Dark amber color, cucumber minty aroma, low body, cucumber minty watery flavor, refreshing smooth finish, and cucumber minty aftertaste. My favorite of the bunch because the cucumber was a nice refreshing touch! Cracker Jack The Original 35g Bag ($4.00CAD): All around, this particular bag wasn't the memorable snack from when I was a kid. The popcorn was old and stale, there was more air than treats, and I was robbed of the prize - sucks! Radical Road Brewing Co. 8-Track IPA Beer 14floz Draft ($8.18CAD): Copper orange color, hoppy piney aroma, low body, hoppy piney tropical flavor, drying finish, and bitter hoppy tropical aftertaste. Radical Road Brewing Co. Yuzu Pale Ale Beer 16floz Draft ($8.18CAD): Bright amber color, citrusy hoppy aroma, low body, citrusy hoppy sweet flavor, clean finish, and citrusy hoppy aftertaste. SERVICE Initially, a cute friendly young female behind the counter greeted me as I entered and grabbed a stool at the bar. Shortly after, a young male switched shifts. Regardless, each got my orders to me easily and quickly with some chit-chat while I was there. Everything was straightforward - cheers! PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance): This was considerably outside from the Toronto International Film Festival area, so I simply walked from where I was staying on my brewery crawl. Otherwise, there were spots along the many main and surrounding streets, some nearby structures, numerous public transportation options, and rideshares - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Dive pub bar aesthetics and a man-cave were my first impressions when I entered, and I immediately warmed to the place. A smallish layout with a featured old fashioned worn bar, several dated wood tables along the walls, various items hung on the walls from bottles, cans, and pictures, a slight peek into beer tanks in the back, and a grittiness of a neighborhood bar. I believed I saw some games off in a corner. A decent amount of natural lighting came through the front windows while dim electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. I couldn't recall any TVs while rock music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=1296&select=nRhJxDwEvbFViwsehNN4FA ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I settled in nicely at Roadical Road Brewing Co. and would venture into it again. Unfortunately, they had only five beers on tap and nine beers in cans, but they appeared to have a full bar. They possibly had an onsite kitchen, but I think you were allowed to bring your own. I doubt furry family members were welcomed inside but maybe on the small sidewalk patio. I enjoyed the beers, prices, service, and dive bar appeal. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $24.00CAD BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

So basically this review is about my Mom's basement. There's a washer, and a bunch of boxes containing my stuff. Upstairs there food and all the eminities. Sometimes I see this old broad, who looks very familiar, walking around. Sometimes she will yell random things at me like "Did you shower today?" Anyhoots, 5/5. Staff is "relatively" friendly yet will admonish and lecture you; usually about women. A bonus with this place: they will lend you money as long aa you don't tell her it's for beer. Highly recommended. FREE PARKING!! Drew's Reviews

He was very hesitant to serve me, looks me up and down... He made me pay before even receiving my drink. I asked for a Jameson neat.... He serves it to me in a shot glass. If you are a bartender that's something you should be knowledgeable about. This place is not welcoming at all.. and definitely wouldn't recommend l, consider or even try to come back. Especially when the bartender has hygiene issues. Also he tells everyone that comes in that he can make them whatever they like; which is not possible at all due to limited experience in bartending and limited supplies. In my past, I have experience in bartending/service industry. As I know what they go through with people I'm a really great tipper. But for something like this, just broke my heart. It's really not welcoming and such disappointment in today's society when it's your first time in Toronto.

What a delightful little spot in Leslieville. It's a quaint restaurants which takes the food…read moreseriously. First about the ambiance. The place is small and cosy, with whimsical decor. It is very dimly lit, with amazing retro 70-90 tunes in the background (post-punk, shoe gazing, afro beats). I kept Shazaming every other song. The service is very friendly. The place has understated elegance, and is casual at the same time. It's a great place for a second date, if you're looking for something non-pretentious (think the polar opposite of King West.) The food is small plates, which are moderately priced. Certainly not the high prices some tapas restaurants charge. The Campo Real Olives were incredible. Lightly cured, and warmed up. Some of the best olives I've had in a while. The Aged Manchego with Honeycomb was most delicious. What a gorgeous pairing. The honeycomb is a little bite of summer. The Smoked Trout Devilled Eggs are the best darn devilled eggs I've ever had. I'm going to have to try to recreate those bad boys. The Pear + Radicchio + Blue cheese + Walnut salad was great. The Scallop Crudo was delicious. The Ribeye Cheeseburger was excellent. The cocktails were excellent and unique, delightfully flavoured with interesting ingredients, and nice bitters, and with whimsical names. Finally I want to mention that the place is ran by a husband and wife duo. The wife was there the entire evening making sure everyone was satisfied. They have been in business for over a decade. This shows what a real difference it makes when a restaurant is a labour of love of people who care about their customers. This is a place to come back to! P.S. They have a front patio, if you prefer.

The interior of the restaurant was very vibe with wood panelling, low lighting, and an eclectic mix of decor on the walls, including old black and white pictures. Maybe it…read morewas how the sun was hitting the restaurant on our July visit, but even with all the umbrellas up there wasn't an ounce of shade. Not wanting to roast, we safely seconded ourselves inside. Here I was greeted with a chill bar environment with tables so crammed together that it'd be a Tetris feat to get yourself into a chair if someone was sitting behind you. Luckily, it wasn't busy on a Friday afternoon, so I jimmied myself into a highchair and settled down with a Gin Lizzy ($15). It's a good first drink since it essentially tastes like a sparkling berry lemonade. The rhubarb reduction and lime make it go down so easy that you must remind yourself it's not juice given it contains gin and prosecco. Personally, even with a refreshing cocktail, I like them tasting stiffer. The El Diablo ($15) hit the spot as the tequila was pronounced but mellowed with black berry concentrate and lime. The ginger beer helped to add a twinge of spiciness and bubbles. This was a favourite amongst our table. A couple of nibbles tied us over until dinner. The queso & chips ($12) arrived with plenty of warm crispy tortillas that were seasoned making them nice to munch on solo or with a sprinkling of finely diced pico de gallo. The queso was a great consistency coating the chip without being too thick and was perfectly seasoned so that it was flavourful without being overly salty. The wild zero wings ($16 for a lb) were hot and juicy, tossed in an apricot glaze that gave the wings a sweet and savoury element, sort of like a Thai sauce but not quite as syrupy. And if they weren't saucy enough, a generous portion of creamy dill arrives as well. Poor Romeo is a great place for a quick drink with nibbles or a casual date. And if you're in the area for an after-meal tipple, their version of an espresso martini is the Night Flight ($16). It certainly tasted of coffee, from a coffee reduction and Jägermeister cold brew, but mellowed out with vodka and a bit of creaminess from the Tia Maria.
