I always have a wonderful time when I come home to Toronto and visit my old haunts. Yesterday's visit to Beerbistro was no exception. I've been going to Beer Bistro for 13 years now, and their steadfast commitment to great Belgian food, craft beers, fantastic mussels, and stellar customer service is the secret sauce to their longevity. Lois took phenomenal care of us, offered photos to remember the day (World Series Game 2), gave us great beer recommendations, and chatted with us. Our food came out exceptionally fast and with a few extra frites for my mussels, because when at Beerbistro you must have moules-frites! The restaurant started to fill up as we left, but with full bellies and fond memories, we were eager to get walking.

Great spot st King and Yonge for gourmet beer. One of the few spots around you can normally get Delerium. They have lots of Saisons and Tripels. Some on tap. The food is good for pub fare too but the stars are the beverages and the staff real know their brews! Ambiance is cozy and European bistro feel. Love the bar area here. Checked out a Delerium Red today. I normally like the DT but it was pretty good too.

The food was fabulous. Just what we needed. The pulled pork flatbread was perfect. Our server, Lois, was sensational. Casual dining in an upscale atmosphere. Wonderful and diverse menu. Highly recommend.

Good beer selection and pub eats. The sausage player was very good. The cheese fondue was great as well

Vegan White Beans & Kale Bauletti - tasty and loaded with vegs!

Restaurant ambience was casual, with a section for sports bar (with screens) and another section for regular dining. All the dishes that we tried here were delicious. Bistro Green Salad with Shrimps - Shrimps were succulent and flavourful. Good amount of fresh leafy greens, cherry tomatoes, and a bit of corn and beets. The honey-beer mustard vinaigrette dressing was nice, light, and not overpowering. Salmon with Wild Rice & Saffron Pilaf, Brussels Sprouts Slaw, Caviar, Seeds - Favourite dish! Vegan White Beans & Kale Bauletti with Red Pepper, Onions, Cherry Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Basil, Parsley - Very tasty and satisfying. I liked that it contained a good amount of vegetables, both in the pasta and in the tomato-based sauce. Loved the mushrooms. If you're ordering the vegan version (without dairy cheese and cream), make sure the person taking your order confirms that it's the vegan version of the dish, because they have another item on the menu with the same name that isn't vegan. Veggie Flatbread with Red Pepper & Mushrooms - Very thin crust.

Beerbistro was a convenient walk from our hotel on King East St, and the had a nice outdoor patio not directly on the Main Street, so the ambience was very nice with great music emanating from inside. The have an extensive beer list and I chose the Great Lakes Brewing Octopus Wants to Fight IPA. The food was just OK, probably not anything I would have again. One of the highlights was our server trainee Destiny, who was working her first shift ever at Beerbistro and cheerfully admitted that she new very little about the menu, but going off to find the answers to our questions. She should do well in the future. A nice place to stop in and have a drink, but you might want to eat elsewhere.

You come for the beer and stay for the food and service. They have a huge selection of beer, as u can probably see from their name, and it doesn't disappoint. The inside is decent and spacious. They even have outdoor patio when the weather is nice. The staff is polite and friendly and speedy. I always come for the fries as well. They never disappoint. Good selection is decent as well so you can do healthy and "fun". I would recommend if u like having a beer or just sitting down for some delicious fries.

Came here after work with a friend around 6pm. Surprisingly full on a weekday so we were seated by the bar table. They have a very extensive set of beers on tap to choose from and the bartender is rather helpful in determining which one you might like, even giving you a small cup to sample before ordering. I kinda wish more places would do this since committing to a full pint of a beer you've never tried is always a little risky. Started with Henry's Irish Ale ($10) and it was pretty nice. It's a brown ale which was new to me. Definitely a lighter ale, not very bitter. Then tried the Stiegl Gold Lager ($9.75) which was probably my preferred out of the 2. Very easy to drink as with most lagers and made for a nice contrast to the comparatively stronger ale. For food, I went with the bistro mac and cheese ($23) which overall was nice, but a bit small. Plenty of chicken, cheese and breadcrumbs to go around, filling but simply because its a pretty "heavy" dish. Would've liked a bit less cheese with a bit more everything else. Decent spot but plenty of options around to try with similar offerings.

Service here was amazing! We happen to come by on a live music night, so that was a nice treat! It wasn't too busy so we sat comfortably across the open kitchen. I love seeing the kitchen and food prep! The food was okay. I wasn't a huge fan of the dishes we ordered. Mostly I was craving mussels. All the food was honestly a bit bland. Needed some more flavors and salt. I liked the mac and cheese and we actually got their fries to go. They make these amazing, French fries that are really rich and delicious. Definitely would recommend. Portion sizing here was very good. Definitely more than I could finish. It's a good place but I think there's tons of better options and value downtown for me to want to come back.

It is, in many respects, exactly what it intends to be: a loud, generous, unpretentious haven for those emerging from Bay Street offices or rallying before a Scotiabank Arena event. The beer programme is the undisputed centerpiece. The selection is vast and thoughtfully curated, spanning local GTA craft offerings alongside storied European imports such as Erdinger and La Trappe. Flights arrive on paddles with coasters identifying each pour -- a charming detail that rewards the curious drinker. One could spend an entire evening simply navigating the rotating taps, and many regulars do precisely that. The kitchen delivers pub fare that, while familiar in concept. Service is warm and attentive on its best evenings, with staff who clearly understand the rhythm of a busy house. However, during peak hours the pace can stretch thin, and a lapse in table attention can surface. The noise level is considerable -- an unavoidable consequence of the venue's scale and popularity. Those seeking quiet conversation will find it a challenge; those seeking energy and the communal hum of a city unwinding will feel entirely at home. For the corporate denizen of the Financial District, or the sports fan looking for a spirited pre-game gathering point, Beertown is a reliable and genuinely enjoyable destination. The beer alone is worth the visit.

I'm not sure if it was our server's break but a couple of other servers came to check on us but couldn't (wouldn't?) take our order until our actual server arrived a while later, which was maybe 20 minutes or so. Not deterred, as we were hungry and thirsty - we ordered the giant beer paddles for our table to share and also a few apps. The beer arrived warm quite a while later and also only had the breweries names on the coasters, not the actual name of the beer so we guessed on a few. The apps were not memorable and were only warmish - so was not blown away. Too bad as the location nearer to me in Oakville was much better in terms of food and service. Even though my office is steps away, I wouldn't rush back.

Sitting at the expansive bar, Emily exuded friendliness and kindness, guiding us through the endless list of beers and cocktails. Attentive and friendly, she served our drinks with an ear to ear smile, round after round. We look forward to returning for more drinks in the future and to give their food a try. I recommend making a reservation especially on weekends as they can get busy. From 2-5pm and 9pm-Close they offer Happy Hour specials daily except on Sunday's which is offered all day. Walked in and requested table for 2 but hostess provided no timeframe as to how long it would take as there were other reservations. Bar was mostly full and we waited about 30 minutes. No table still but some seats became available at the bar. Strange how on OpenTable it showed availability when they said no tables available. Service at the bar was great! Very attentive despite it being a very large bar with many seats filled at capacity. Ordered a couple of drinks and food from the menu shortly after. Got their Fried Pickles and Prosciutto & Arugula Pizza to share. Overall, food was fresh and wait time to receive the food was reasonable. Except, pizza was a bit salty I think this was due to the cheese on top. Fried pickles were A-OK, lightly battered and paired well with the house made beer ranch dipping sauce. I'd recommend checking out Craft during happy hour to get the best value for both food and drinks but expect there to be a bit of a crowd! Cheers!
