I popped into Wvrst for a quick bite before meeting friends for a pub crawl, and it was exactly what I needed. The classic bratwurst with duck fries on the side truly hit the spot. Service was efficient, I was seated at a community table in no time, as it was still early and the place was pretty empty - a party of 5 in a booth and a couple at the end of my community table. A booth might have been more comfortable but it felt a bit excessive to nab one solo. The atmosphere is lively, with music on the louder side, which fits the bar-like vibe. Note to self - next time, don't show up nursing a hangover from the office Christmas party. I didn't partake in drinks this time as I was saving myself for the pub crawl, but if you're in the mood for a brew, they've got an impressive selection of beers on tap. Their menu even features a QR code to help you navigate the extensive draft list. And if beer isn't your thing, they offer bottles, cans, cider, and wine; truly something for everyone. There was a bit of a wait for my meal, courtesy of that party or 5 in the booth ordering right when I arrived, but the food was well worth it. All in all, a great spot for a hearty bite in a buzzing atmosphere. Just remember to bring your earplugs if you're recovering from the night before!

I had some time to kill before my train recently, so I figured I'd pop over to Wvrst to grab a quick drink and meal. I sat down at one of the bar seats and immediately ordered a very tasty beer. I also wanted some food but my server didn't offer a menu, so I began to think the setup was like the King Street location (i.e. I would have to get up to order my food). Anyway I finally asked and was given a food menu. I decided to go with the Oktoberfest sausage ("pork + beef + sage (pork casing)") and I got that in the Currywvrst style. It arrived a little while later and was definitely impressively plated, with the tasty-looking sausage sitting on a bed of sauerkraut and flanked by toasty bread and a small jar of curry sauce. Everything's so good. The sausage is excellent and maybe one of the best Oktoberfest sausages I've ever had. The sauerkraut and bread complement it perfectly, while the delectable curry sauce is ideal for dipping. I really enjoyed my meal at Wvrst. I think I'll make it a regular stop when I'm waiting for a train.

Wild boar sausage on a bun

Revisited a month after before Jays game. Thursday evening around 5:30pm. They were already very busy with after work crowd and was hard to get attention to get menu & order food/drink. This time I tried Wild boar sausage on a bun with sauerkraut & jalapeno. It just tasted like a regular sausage. Nothing spectacular or anything.

More like 3.5. Came here during happy hour to try their fondue $34 instead of $44 and sausage sampler $23.75. There is plenty of seating, most of which are on communal long tables. I like how many types of mustards they have at each table for you to try. While everything was tasty, it was also quite salty and heavy. My partner and I left with the feeling that we're glad we tried this spot, but we don't think we'll coming back. If there were more vegetables included to be a bit more balanced, that would be better. At other fondue spots they often include some vegetables like roasted broccoli, tomatos, cauliflower, zucchini, etc. The cheese mix itself was delicious, as was the pretzel. The sausage sampler was fun to try, but I think choosing one that you like is better ultimately. Service was friendly.

Have dined at Wvrst many times in the past because of the fun variety of their hotdog meats. While there's been some shrinkage over the years, it's still a good spot if you want to chow down on elevated hotdogs. Went recently and got: - Oktoberfest: great hotdog as usual. - Porchetta Sandwhich: pretty good size, a but too fatty and not roasted crunchy enough for me). - Chips and Dip: chips were overly salty but the french onion dip was one of the best I've had. It's a lively spot especially with the post work and pre game crowds. You used to have to go to a counter to order but now table service is provided. Prices are what prices are these days. Space is benches and booths, which adds to the casual vibe. A good spot if you want a chill meal and fun atmosphere.

Second outpost of this resto in Union Station. Reasonable amount of tables. Definitely think of it as more like a 3+ Met my niece there in the middle of the afternoon and we shared some appetizers and beers. Excellent quality food and quite authentic. Happy hour was on so the prices made the bill a lot more reasonable. Trestle tables and some booths. Service was friendly.

Surprisingly delicious. A great affordable sit down restaurant in Union station. It also works for a business lunch, except their seating is reminiscent of a beer hall, so you may do well to arrive early or make a reservation to ensure you can get a booth. Pictured is the Porchetta Sandwich ($20) which was very tasty, but a bit hard to eat. It was like there was twenty individual pieces of meat / veggies that kept trying to jump out of my hands! But overall, I still enjoyed it. Wasn't the biggest fan of the salad it came with, but I think that's because all the dressing was on the bottom and I didn't notice until the salad was half done. We also enjoyed the Duck Fat Fries ($7.95), which to be fair, tasted a lot like regular fries to me, but were good. I think the one complaint I had was the service towards the end of the meal. The restaurant had gotten quite busy and there really was no one paying attention to us anymore.

This is a casual dining spot inside union station. We went before a raptors game, because there aren't many options tbh. Overall I find the food okay, good but not great. We had the jalapeño cheddar pretzel which was okay, and ordered 2 sausages on a bun. The octoberfest wasn't very good but the Kass was good. Also ordered the duck fat fries which were really good but not sure what the duck fat contributed.

I am a fan of WURST, having been to the King St. West location fairly regularly. So when I was at the Raptor's game last night, decided to try out the Union Station location. It was not what I had come to expect from the restaurant- delicious and well prepared food as well as great service . My friend and I ordered 2 beers, got mine in a wine glass !!! We ordered our food and it was over cooked and lacked flavour. They forget the duck fries, when we did receive them , they were soggy and hastily prepared. All in all , the experience was exact opposite of the King St location.

Picked up ritual order during lunchtime. I got the danger dog and it wasn't anything special. The bun unfortunately was kind of hard to bite into, therefore I never got to finish the bun. The sausage was good but again, nothing special.

Walking around Union Station we got intrigued by this open space, well lit restaurant. The focus is on German food like sausages and pretzels.....many varieties to choose from with all kinds of sauces to pick....You can also order beer with your meal. The seating is in long communal benches, so it feels like if you are in the middle of a Beer Garden at Oktoberfest. The sausage was delicious and the sauces were fresh and tangy. A really good option in the area.

I am not much of a hot dog person having only eating those in times of dire hunger from road side stands. I have heard about WVRST and decided to try theirs. Had the spicy lamb one on a bun with 2 sides. It's called Merguez. It came with two hot dogs and the sides. Good. Really enjoyed it. I used one of the spicy sauces from the table. Service was timely. It's a nice place right at Union Station. Glad I tried it.

It is, in many respects, exactly what it intends to be: a loud, generous, unpretentious haven for those emerging from Bay Street offices or rallying before a Scotiabank Arena event. The beer programme is the undisputed centerpiece. The selection is vast and thoughtfully curated, spanning local GTA craft offerings alongside storied European imports such as Erdinger and La Trappe. Flights arrive on paddles with coasters identifying each pour -- a charming detail that rewards the curious drinker. One could spend an entire evening simply navigating the rotating taps, and many regulars do precisely that. The kitchen delivers pub fare that, while familiar in concept. Service is warm and attentive on its best evenings, with staff who clearly understand the rhythm of a busy house. However, during peak hours the pace can stretch thin, and a lapse in table attention can surface. The noise level is considerable -- an unavoidable consequence of the venue's scale and popularity. Those seeking quiet conversation will find it a challenge; those seeking energy and the communal hum of a city unwinding will feel entirely at home. For the corporate denizen of the Financial District, or the sports fan looking for a spirited pre-game gathering point, Beertown is a reliable and genuinely enjoyable destination. The beer alone is worth the visit.

I'm not sure if it was our server's break but a couple of other servers came to check on us but couldn't (wouldn't?) take our order until our actual server arrived a while later, which was maybe 20 minutes or so. Not deterred, as we were hungry and thirsty - we ordered the giant beer paddles for our table to share and also a few apps. The beer arrived warm quite a while later and also only had the breweries names on the coasters, not the actual name of the beer so we guessed on a few. The apps were not memorable and were only warmish - so was not blown away. Too bad as the location nearer to me in Oakville was much better in terms of food and service. Even though my office is steps away, I wouldn't rush back.

Sitting at the expansive bar, Emily exuded friendliness and kindness, guiding us through the endless list of beers and cocktails. Attentive and friendly, she served our drinks with an ear to ear smile, round after round. We look forward to returning for more drinks in the future and to give their food a try. Walked in and requested table for 2 but hostess provided no timeframe as to how long it would take as there were other reservations. Bar was mostly full and we waited about 30 minutes. No table still but some seats became available at the bar. Strange how on OpenTable it showed availability when they said no tables available. Service at the bar was great! Very attentive despite it being a very large bar with many seats filled at capacity. Ordered a couple of drinks and food from the menu shortly after. Got their Fried Pickles and Prosciutto & Arugula Pizza to share. Overall, food was fresh and wait time to receive the food was reasonable. Except, pizza was a bit salty I think this was due to the cheese on top. Fried pickles were A-OK, lightly battered and paired well with the house made beer ranch dipping sauce. I'd recommend checking out Craft during happy hour to get the best value for both food and drinks but expect there to be a bit of a crowd! Cheers!
