Very big portions here! Great bang for your buck! Also check out the happy hour here! Big space within the financial district - great for work and after work get togethers!

Same- fish tacos and whiskey with Coke

This quickly became a favorite. I went to Canada in December 2025 for a company event and though I was only there for 2 days, this is a place I'd definitely return to. A colleague and I came here for lunch and we loved their service, food, and drinks that I went back with other colleagues the next day to grab brunch. Then I found out they were already there the night before for some drinks after dinner and loved it too It was a decent walk from our hotel. It's a big place, great ambience and gets busy a lot. Their fish tacos are awesome, bartenders are great, I really love this place and will visit again when I'm in the area.

The beer garden is such a good vibe for happy hour/lunch! They have music playing and games outside. The food was delicious-- we got parmesan fries, kale caesar salad, laguna chicken bowl, crispy garden sushi, and a pineapple margarita. Everything was 10/10.

The beer menu is endless! I checked this place out with family, we were seated without a wait on a Saturday evening. There is a lot of seating and is also a good space for larger groups. They had great vegetarian options, I tried their impossible burger which had good charbroiled flavor. Their poutine was decent. I enjoyed their beers and they had a good passionfruit martini

Good food experience even when not going for beer. While the beers are the calling card, I've gone twice for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed a meal with diet Coke. Today I had two entrees. The ribs had a unique and very good taste. While they weren't the meatiest ribs ever, I enjoyed them. I had a pound of the salt and pepper wings and also found them good. Will definitely be going back.

Study up, more beer

Toronto has a great craft brew scene and I was looking for a place where I could sample a few - Craft Beer Market was a fine choice. I don't know how many beers they have on tap but you may want to study up before you get there. I landed on a the Rorschach Dipa ( Brewed with oats and wheat and hopped with Riwaka and Motueka. Notes of tropical passionfruit, lime and melon, with grapefruit and some pine. Smooth body with subtle bitterness and juicy hop aromas.)... yeah that was a cut and paste from their website. Regardless, it's an accurate description and quite delicious. There's a food menu that that looked like good bar food but it did not imbibe. This is a sports bar vibe so don't expect to have intimate, quiet conversation - you're there to drink and there are at least 100 taps to choose from so get busy. p.s. life pro tip. If you want to take home a few beers skip the retail option and walk across the street to LCBO liquor and find some of the same brands at half the price.

This was one of the first locations I visited in Toronto after we got off our flight. I did my research prior to coming here and it looked like a pretty cool spot for some beer and good bar food. I ordered a burger, a barrel of nachos and a beer and was very satisfied straight to the point bar food type menu. Our bartenders were awesome very attentive and helpful. This is a must for a night out on the town or watching a sporting event. I would definitely come back.

This place was one of the few places open downtown for some reason. But it's a great option, with a large bar area and lots of seating. Great for groups. The food is really great too. It's very decadent and heavy. I mean even the salad was covered with cheese and nuts. It had great flavor though. The fried chicken was delicious and their hot sauce was very unique. Slightly vinegar taste with hotness, so yummy. The max and cheese was made perfectly so cheesy and delicious. I highly recommend if you are in the area and want some comfort food. If you are on a diet don't come here lol

kale caesar salad

Went here with a group of 10 and had a good time! They were able to accommodate us easily. The inside of this restaurant is very spacious and doesn't feel overly crowded. The food here isn't bad. It's your typical bar food, so don't expect anything extraordinary, but it goes well with the drinks and will fill you up for a decent price. We shared a couple things among 5 people: the bee sting pizza (loved the hot honey), poutine (I love cheese), the korean glazed ribs (wish they were more tender but flavor was good), kale caesar salad (buttered bread was delicious), and the korean fried chicken (great flavor!) Would recommend 1 dish per person since the portions are pretty small. I also got the coco mint mocktail, which had lime, coconut water, and mint. It was quite sweet even though it doesn't sound like it! It had some sort of soda in it which made it fizzy too. Service here is great as well; very friendly workers and food comes out pretty quickly for a large group. Lots of different options on the menu to suit different flavor and diet preferences (vegan, vegetarian, etc). Very extensive drink menu too, with good non alcoholic options. Great pick for a casual dinner spot for a large group.

I had heard great things about the food and drinks at Craft Beer. Opted for take out as the restaurant was booked for a private event. Ordered pizza and wings combo - Queen Bee pizza as well as beer salt and pepper wings. Although the wings were OK the pizza was a huge disappointment !! It was basically a fresh loaf of round bread baked in the oven with hardly any toppings , sauce or cheese on it . It did not look anything close to the picture on their website menu and is quite misleading. Hardly any flavour and quite doughy. Pictures are attached for comparison.

The ambience is great. The food was good. Typical bar menu. It is actually a cool spot to hangout with friends and have some good time. Our server was very quick and nice. Got all out order right and promptly. Drinks were amazing.

spicy mac n cheese (the lighting in the resto is SUPER dim)

The drinks are amazing at this place. And the resto itself is ginormous. Holyyyy. Tons of drink selection. Very spacious inside albeit maybe a lil too dim in terms of lighting haha. Atmosphere is lit ALL THE TIME though. The service is pretty good. I usually come here to kick it w/ colleagues after work if I do decide to come into office that day, and it's always a rowdy time. One time we stayed a lil longer than usual and our waitress made sure to get another waiter to take care of us as her shift ended while we were still eating. I will say, the food is just ok. That's my honest opinion. I had the wings one night when they were on special and these don't come anywhere close to an actual wing spot uptown or in scarborough. There's not enough meat on them and they don't have a nice crunch. The flavour was not bad though. The only two food items I would order again are a burger (they make pretty decent burgers) and the mac n cheese (by far, the best food item on the menu imo). The mac n cheese has like 3-5 different cheeses. Definitely tastes homemade and it's a lil spicy! So you get a nice kick. Otherwise, if I'm not actually hungry, I'd stick to drinks here and then grabbing a snack elsewhere later or before. 5 star rating for the drinks, 4 star rating for service, 3 star rating for food. Aggregate of 3.5 / 5 stars which I'll bump up to 4 (since we can't award half stars on yelp). Good after work memories here haha.

Beertown occupies a commanding footprint in Toronto's Financial District -- a sprawling,…read moreenergetically lit gastropub that announces itself with a theatre of gleaming taps and an open, convivial floor plan designed unapologetically for the after-work crowd. It is, in many respects, exactly what it intends to be: a loud, generous, unpretentious haven for those emerging from Bay Street offices or rallying before a Scotiabank Arena event. The beer programme is the undisputed centerpiece. The selection is vast and thoughtfully curated, spanning local GTA craft offerings alongside storied European imports such as Erdinger and La Trappe. Flights arrive on paddles with coasters identifying each pour -- a charming detail that rewards the curious drinker. One could spend an entire evening simply navigating the rotating taps, and many regulars do precisely that. The kitchen delivers pub fare that, while familiar in concept. Service is warm and attentive on its best evenings, with staff who clearly understand the rhythm of a busy house. However, during peak hours the pace can stretch thin, and a lapse in table attention can surface. The noise level is considerable -- an unavoidable consequence of the venue's scale and popularity. Those seeking quiet conversation will find it a challenge; those seeking energy and the communal hum of a city unwinding will feel entirely at home. For the corporate denizen of the Financial District, or the sports fan looking for a spirited pre-game gathering point, Beertown is a reliable and genuinely enjoyable destination. The beer alone is worth the visit.

Visited with my team on a weekday evening a couple of weeks ago. We walked into an almost empty…read morerestaurant and were told they needed to make sure they had room for us (we were a party of 8). Thankfully somehow they did and we sat down to order. I'm not sure if it was our server's break but a couple of other servers came to check on us but couldn't (wouldn't?) take our order until our actual server arrived a while later, which was maybe 20 minutes or so. Not deterred, as we were hungry and thirsty - we ordered the giant beer paddles for our table to share and also a few apps. The beer arrived warm quite a while later and also only had the breweries names on the coasters, not the actual name of the beer so we guessed on a few. The apps were not memorable and were only warmish - so was not blown away. Too bad as the location nearer to me in Oakville was much better in terms of food and service. Even though my office is steps away, I wouldn't rush back.

The third floor is the Mahjong. We played many different board games. There are 2 big cabinets of board games. There should be more. We ordered the following food: 1. Hanamikoji Mocktail ($9.99). 2. Treasure of Sumatra Mocktail ($8.99). 3. Teddy Bear Milk Tea ($6.99). 4. Flat White (small $4.99). 5. Potato Wedges ($6.99). 6. Chicken Tenders ($9.99). 7. 17 Tiles Dusted Wings ($14.99) with Chipotle Mango sauce. The mocktails were pretty and tasty. The Teedy Bear is made of ice. All the food was good, except the batter on the Chicken Tenders was too thick; the chicken was tender. The service was good. For 3 people, our games and food totaled $86.93. I toured the Mahjong rooms on the third floor out of curiosity. The setup was good. To play unlimited board games, it costs $3/p. To play in private Mahjong rooms, it costs $20/h/p. For VIP Mahjong rooms (including drinks), it costs $30/h/p. For wheelchair accessibility, you must enter an elevator at the back of the building. There is free WiFi. We started with the Brussels sprouts which is always a great choice from here. Crispy on the outside and not an overwhelming Brussels sprout taste. This is likely because there is a generous sprinkling of grated parm and a great amount of dip. We tried the crispy tuna sushi. The tuna was beautifully marinated, so flavourful. And the sushi was nice and crispy. The vodka pie was a seasonal item and when we saw it listed, we knew we needed to try it. The sauce- amazing, the press was nice and flaky and light and really tasty. And the soccer Sada added nice saltines and flavour without being too overwhelming.
