Fringing away, I felt like getting something Japanese for lunch…read more The space is large and chaotic and noisy, with the World Cup adding a lot to the last two. You have to accept that the restaurants in the Distillery District are not going to be quiet experiences due to the age of the buildings. Wide open and stony. I got the seaweed salad, unagi don, and their "handcrafted lemonade". Service was quick and efficient. Everything was okay. Nothing stood out, except the fizzy lemonade was quite refreshing, and the unagi was some of the tenderest I've ever had. Otherwise there was nothing special, but nothing bad either. As a group visiting from Chicago and had no more agenda left on our trip, we stumbled upon this gem while walking around the Distillery District. Their patio caught my eye at first because it was super cute, then we looked at their menu and decided to dine in! We ate at the patio since it was a beautiful afternoon where it wasn't too hot. The ambiance was perfect to end our weekend trip in Toronto. When the tuna steak came out, all you heard was "Woah" because of the beautiful presentation and you can see how fresh the tuna was! And we were so right. The tuna was soooo good and sooo fresh. My friend is somewhat of a picky and not so healthy eater but he gave it a try and was so impressed. I'm adding this place to my list of restaurants we loved. Until next time!
