We were allowed to view the showroom and take some samples to the house to see how the floors would look in the sunlight. We were in close contact with one of the owners, Candi, as she would give us updates and answered any of our questions along the way. They ordered and installed the wrong hardwood (after I verified that it was incorrect). Stain was everywhere! Furniture and fixtures had to be replaced! I had to get entirely new balusters - at my own expense - because my staircase was ruined! And, at the end of it all, the company tried to charge me more than the original quote and reneged on their agreement to pay for certain items that had to be replaced due to their crappy work. I asked since it changed to a non official time, and was quoted around 1pm... could someone call when OTW, his direct response quoted NOPE!!! And if we wasn't there, they would LEAVE!!! I wrote a scathing review a year ago which somehow did not get posted. A year later my unsealed,…read moresanded (which I never asked for) grout is not only showing huge amounts of grossness, it's obvious the grout isn't neatly contained within the grout lines but has huge areas where it's on the tile. This was the only place I found the specific tile I was looking for and the owner said it would be a 2 week lead time which worked perfectly for a very tight schedule. After waiting a few days after the estimated installation time I contacted him and he said it would be another 2 weeks, or possibly a month. I had another tile installer who did a beautiful job in the kitchen and as soon as I said I could have the other installer pick up the materials I'd already purchased, somehow the owner found a way to make it happen the next day. I can only imagine he was scrapping the bottom of the barrel on subcontracted installers, and they were nice, showed up on time, worked hard, but they were very inexperienced. Their work was very sub-par with huge wavy lines at the edges, uneven tile setting, and I don't even know what they did with the floor in the shower area but it's thick, it's weird, and the trim is atrocious. The owner showed up halfway through the installation and mentioned that he'd sent me an email about a price increase. I hadn't seen it, would never have agreed to it, and not only that he never once contacted either me or my husband by phone to confirm. If I wasn't in such a time crunch I'd have thrown him off the jobsite right then and there. He's a liar and a weasel and has no control over the shoddy workmanship his subcontractors do. Look up Michal Battle if you want tile done right.
