I usually don't write bad experiences but this one bothered me. I Don't what it is with this location. First time i placed an online order to be picked up and it took me 15+ minutes to get to this location, it wasn't ready. Mind you, this wasn't busy when i walked in. Usually i'm greeted nicely. I kindly ordered our coffee and it wasn't busy only to wait 15 minutes for it to be completed. There was another drive thru customer that came in to complain about something so i knew it wasn't me. When placing my order i usually get asked my member/rewards account so they can see my name but this please didn't and had to back out and replace the order just to scan my I like Better Buzz account. I had to ask the server to warm my pastry only to be COLD when i got my drinks. Sadly, I won't be going back and only going to the Rancho Penasquitos location. read more

Two stars for the coffee and cute sitting area. But unfortunately every time I've been here, my coffee has taken 15 minutes or more to make. I've tried ordering ahead but it still isn't ready when I get there. I could see if you had a long line, but very rarely do I see more than 3 customers. I want to keep coming, but the wait is so incredibly frustrating. And the staff attitude is so hit or miss. Sometimes friendly, sometimes don't seem to have a care in the world. read more

I can only think of amazing, positive things to say when it comes to this Better Buzz team & location! I just started coming here a few weeks ago, and I always leave impressed and satisfied. That's why I'm a daily regular now! After my first visit, the team committed my name & order to heart right away. They are clearly detail-oriented and compassionate, and made me feel at home instantly. I can also tell they've been trained well, since they ask if I'm using the app (and encourage me to get it) every time. Similarly, they always ask if I'd like to order food or pastries and always have great recommendations! The beverage quality is through the roof, and that's a hard balance to maintain when the equipment they use requires such careful calibration and attention. It's not as easy as it looks to consistently make a great drink! They make my order so fast; it's a little shocking. It usually takes around 45 seconds to get my drink. Sometimes, they literally see my car and have it ready by the time I'm ordering, it's insane! I love the convenience of the drive through, but the interior is always clean, cool, and welcoming when I go in. It's never noisy or distracting, so I always see people working diligently in there. The patio is also great; on a nice day, there's a great breeze that goes by and it's so easy to relax out there. What's best is that this location is right next to the gym I go to daily, which makes it so hard to stay away! Now, I go daily before the gym for a little pre-workout caffeination. Other coffee bars in the area could only dream of being so amazing. They should be scared of such fierce competition! I'll start off by saying that the coffee and food are wonderful. I've been here a few times but felt the need to express this last time I had an unpleasant experience. It goes without saying that cutting a customer off before they finish asking a question with "the chef is still making it" when it was about a BAKERY item that's premade was really uncalled for and making me wait when I didn't need to. I get being busy but the customer service at this location has not been the best I've received elsewhere. I do my best to give a place multiple chances but this last time made me feel my business is better spent elsewhere if the employees are too busy to listen to a question. read more

was a little frustrated going in at lunch to get a little something. I was one of 2 customers in the store at that time. Ordered an Acai bowl, Paid, and added a tip. Took em 15 minutes to get my order out. I wish we weren't ask to give a tip until the service complete. Tips shouldn't be expected, but a reward for a job well done. I have been here a few times now and there's always issues. Ive gotten the wrong order twice now and I thought I would give it one more try since it was my birthday and I had a free birthday drink. Today it was the service that was off putting. They said they couldn't hear me in the intercom when ordering through the drive through and I had to repeat and yell everything over and over and over again. Not sure if it's their intercom system or whoever is working just couldn't hear properly. Once I got to the window, the staff was not friendly and the lady making my drink behind her seemed angry because she was slamming things on the counter pretty aggressively. This place's customer service is awful. At least that is the experience I've had with them. I thought it was just because they had newly opened when I went. But I tried them again last week and they sucked just as much. At least this time I didn't get food so they couldn't screw that up. So there's the silver lining. Better Buzz Coffee - Poway - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Poway, California

I just received my delivery. I am rather concerned about the lack of sanitation and safety with the packaging of the food and coffee. The food arrived in a small opened bag, exposed to anyone and anything. The coffee did not have a safety cover over the opening. Anything could have gotten into the beverage. Starbucks always uses a safety cover on the drinks and, all of their orders are secured and sealed in bags with handles. The bags are sealed with tape so food and beverage items cannot be tampered with. Better Buzz left my food and beverage on my porch open and exposed. Will not be ordering from Better Buzz in the future read more

I have visited this better buzz location 6 to 8 times so far and every order I have from them never taste like a better buzz drink. I'm starting to wonder if the barista has slept on the training or did it be better? Buzz corporation not share their drink recipes because every drink just suck. And this is coming from a better buzz addict. Suggestion to your corporation include in the receipt of the drink or the receipt of payment the name of the barista so that we can include the review and the barista because these are not your drinks. read more

Every single time I come here I don't get my fucking drink. It's so exhausting, every time I have come to this location I order and they dont make it until I ask them multiple times. The whole point of ordering coffee is so that I don't have to make it, but every time without fail I have to jump back there and remind them to do their job. This recent time I was the only person in the building and it STILL took 30 mins. My friend with a nut allergy had questions about her drink ingredients and they were unable to ANY nutritional information. read more

A $7.00 cup of ice. This was my first visit so I stopped in to have an iced coffee and a sandwich. They were pretty good, a little heavy on the bread and light on the contents, but okay. No issues. The staff was definitely friendly and did a good job. Overall, no complaints except that the drink went fast. On my way out, I ordered a non-coffee drink and noticed that it too was extremely ice-heavy. I'd expect that at Starbucks but not at any of the other coffee chains. Some are pretty good about using crushed ice that melts quicker and therefore makes for a longer drink, but Better Buzz is just really ice-heavy. Three sips and you're done, then a big old cup of ice for the next hour. I'd like to leave a 5-star review but the lasting thing on my mind was where their fill line was. As I left, I took a look at a few other customers drinks and noticed I wasn't alone. Everyone got a big helping of ice, and a little drink to go with it. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I'll have to think on whether or not I come back. I shouldn't have to say "light ice" because if you're saying that, it's tantamount to "try not to cheat me, please." read more
