I have actually not tried the coffees here. I love their ham and manchego cheese croissant. The flakiness of the croissant rivals that of any overpriced French bakery. The ham and cheese are savory. The next time you come for a coffee, make sure to get a croissant as an accompaniment. You won't regret it. I would pass on the "Almond butter plus jam" (almond butter, seasonal jam, butter on thick-cut multigrain). It's almost entirely bread with not enough almond butter or jam. read more

I'm at better buzz right now. The service was great! Daysen and Tobias were so helpful. So efficient. They got my order right away. I got my iced horchata latte and pastries right away. The drink is so good! They made it just right. The pastries and gluten free cookies are so good. The place was crowded but there were a lot of seating. The parking is hard so just park in the main parking lot where there's dollar tree and etc. I would recommend this place! read more

Walking into the building , I was greeted with warm smiles. The options of newer drinks both coffee and refreshers were mentioned. Definitely had made the interaction a lot more welcoming than my other experiences in other locations. I lived in Encinitas for a long time, and when Better Buzz opened, I honestly couldn't stand it. It was always crowded, drinks took forever, and they were more sugar and milk than coffee. So didn't get the hype. Fast forward to now, I tried the cold brew at this location while visiting friends. Delicious! No crowds, the staff was so nice, and my order was strong and ready quickly. It was also very clean inside, something I didn't really experience at the other location when it first opened years ago. I didn't try any food but the menu looked on par with all the other trendy spots in San Diego. It's definitely good for a quick grab while driving all around! read more

Glad to have a Better Buzz in the area. The closest previously was in Mira Mesa. This location has a decent sized inside, but the drive thru and parking are a bit weird so make sure you follow the signs. My go to "the best drink ever" never disappoints. read more

Never had Better Buzz before and we passed by this location after a work lunch. Got the Banana Pudding Best Drink Ever. Hit the spot for a sweet, dessert type drink. I love the place but the drive thru upsell is getting ridiculous What's your name? Try our new acai bowl No Try a new beverage? No Want an extra shot? No Different milk? No Are you a member? Any cookies for the road? It is like an interrogation at this point and really slows the line down. 6 cars deep and we are all waiting for the upsell to go through. The wait in the drive thru is always ridiculous! Never any sense of urgency either. I also hate that I can't pay through the app and am always asked to tip on my almost $8 coffee. I personally never tried Better Buzz but I was told I should try it so decided to stop by. I also don't like sweet coffees. So they help me navigate what drinks are less sweet and how I could ask for a less sweetener and some of the ones that are usually made sweeter. And I have to say I'm a plain Jane when it comes to my coffee so I got a plain iced vanilla latte less sweet and I loved it! The people were very nice and efficient and kept a clean store . I enjoy getting coffee at Better Buzz but almost every time I go to this location, something happens to make it a bad experience. Today I ordered a $5.49 latte (reg. size). After the long speech at the speaker, I asked if he wanted my reward number. When I got to the front of the line to pay, I was handed the credit card machine asking for a tip. A tip for one coffee? I didn't even received the coffee yet. I was finally handed a cup full of foam. I asked them to add milk. Was this because I didn't tip? I expect milk/coffee in the cup when I spend $5.49 for a latte. I probably won't go to this store anymore. I'm tired of something going wrong at every visit. Last time I had to go inside because they gave me some weird drink. Please do better. read more

I usually don't write bad experiences but this one bothered me. I Don't what it is with this location. First time i placed an online order to be picked up and it took me 15+ minutes to get to this location, it wasn't ready. Mind you, this wasn't busy when i walked in. Usually i'm greeted nicely. I kindly ordered our coffee and it wasn't busy only to wait 15 minutes for it to be completed. There was another drive thru customer that came in to complain about something so i knew it wasn't me. When placing my order i usually get asked my member/rewards account so they can see my name but this please didn't and had to back out and replace the order just to scan my I like Better Buzz account. I had to ask the server to warm my pastry only to be COLD when i got my drinks. Sadly, I won't be going back and only going to the Rancho Penasquitos location. read more

In fact, after the baseball game I went back a second time and grabbed a Cobb salad for my wife. Of course I had a few bites as a delivery tax. That thing was tremendous too. When I picture a really good Cobb salad, this is exactly what I want. Packed with egg, bacon, avocado, and just the right amount of blue cheese. Not skimpy at all. The salad also took longer than expected, but honestly I'd much rather wait a few extra minutes for food that's made right instead of rushed garbage. Well done. Easy five stars.

I work about 5 mins away from this location so I order semi often on my lunches. In the past few months I've noticed a positive change in the service and staff. Leah in particular has gone above and beyond by being attentive and kind. Customer service can be hit or miss most places so it's really refreshing to have someone so personable taking care of customers. She's always greeting people with a smile and positive energy. I don't understand why they charge so much for bee pollen and when I politely ask for extra bee pollen I get nothing! This happens all the time and unfortunately they catch an attitude when I ask for some on the side and give me a side eye.
