My wife and I came in to get a coffee and we wanted something to eat. We always get the açaí bowl. We noticed that they had a new flavor, the chocolate açaí protein bowl. The team was saying that it was good. We decided to try it out without the chocolate chips. Wow, it was so yummy. I love how the almond butter was on the bottom. I have always enjoyed Better Buzz and how great they treat their customers, however I tried the Poway location for the first time this morning and I was surprised to have not received the same great experience. I had ordered a drink with some new modifiers on the app before arriving at the location, and after picking up my drink i could immediately tell that something was off about it. It seems as though they forgot they forgot the milk entirely when I subbed for oat milk. I politely brought up to the worker that the drink seemed off and maybe they had forgotten the milk, but I was told that it was made exactly how I had requested. I understand that they get busy in the mornings, and I wasn't asking for an entirely new beverage. All that I would've appreciated was maybe a little more milk or even just taking the time to look into it with me. I am not knocking Better Buzz or the Poway location by any means, just a poor experience! read more

I love Better Buzz so I was happy when I found out they were opening up closer to me. I went the week they opened and...it wasn't the best. They definitely had some service/personnel kinks that still needed to be worked out. It was to the point where I would rather drive farther to a different location. Nearly three months later, I went in to give it another shot. Everything that was a problem the first time seems to have been taken care of and now I don't have to drive to Mira Mesa for my buzz, haha. read more

Good food and great drinks! Never dissatisfied when coming here. Consistency is huge for me and the service definitely stays consistent.

First of all, this is the cleanest and cutest location I've been to thus far. Secondly, every single worker there was so kind and helpful to me. My drink was amazing and my açaí bowl was delicious! Shoutout to Lola and Jay! This was by far one of the best experiences I've had at this coffee shop in a while. The workers all were patient, respectful, and cheerful. We got the ube cookie, almond croissant, and a scone which were all good. Legend has it if you're a good customer they might throw in some free pastries . As for drinks, we got the mocha buzz and two matcha lattes. All were wonderful. ordered 3 pastries and a drink! There were 4 people behind the counter and it seemed to be taking a while! Two people came in after me and when the lady got her order first (2 drinks and 2 pastries) I asked the girl where mine was and she said it's coming! Then the guy got his order again before me and I told her I was before they were and she replied we're short staffed! That comment had nothing to do with giving drinks out of order! Not impressed at all I don't even think I received the correct order but it was too late once I drove off. I also ordered their turkey pesto sandwich, one tiny piece of turkey and some mayo. AMAZING STAFF! This was my very first visit to this location, and I absolutely loved everything about my experience. The staff was all smiles and super helpful with recommendations. The new girl (Ashley)at the register suggested the Chili Crunch Wrap, and I'll definitely be back for that again! I was also impressed when she told me I could sign up for rewards and even get credit for my purchase that day. Totally worth it--and such a great incentive to come back. And I can't forget about the perfect Vanilla Latte they made me. Super bummed. I love Better Buzz. I normally go to San Marcos one, but since this one opened down the way from work I was excited to have more opportunities to go! The Best Drink was barely warm (I arrived 2 mins after reported ready time) and so watered down. I would have never guessed it's the drink I've had countless other times. I ordered an Apple Cinnamon muffin and got a zucchini walnut muffin?! The lady at register was barely engaged, seemed as though she would rather be anywhere else. Asked twice which muffin and still got it wrong. It was dead in there too so can't blame it on being busy. Needless to say I will not return. Too disappointed to spend part of my lunch hour going there again. read more
