Leah took my order and was the sweetest and was really energetic considering that they were almost closing. She was also really helpful when we had questions about their breast cancer awareness campaign. We ordered the pumpkin spice latte and it was a good balance of pumpkin + coffee! I usually order 50% sweet for their "best drink ever" and it's perfect since I prefer my coffee a little less sweet. However, for the pumpkin, I would probably get it 25% sweet next time. read more

I love this location and the workers are always so sweet!! If you go in make sure to say hi to Leah!! The drinks are amazing and made to perfection. Great place to study or get work done as well! read more

This Better Buzz is AMAZING and seriously never misses! Everything is always so good, but I especially wanted to give some recognition to Gisele and Gio because they make every visit even better! Gisele MAKES THE BEST DRINKS -- literally perfect every single time. And Gio is always so kind, welcoming, and such a sweetheart! They both deserve some recognition for how great they are! Amazing drinks, amazing service, and easily my favorite Better Buzz location. read more

We have a coffee maker at home, but we come here because of the staff. Our boys always like to say hi, and Gisele is especially nice to our kids. She always goes out of her way to say hi and ask how they're doing, even when they are slammed. I don't even drink coffee (my husband and older son do), but we still come here because of the great employees here! read more

We ONLY come to this location now. GREAT staff, and Savana, in particular, shows extreme kindness to my very social autistic son, and even when she's multitasking in the drive thru orders, she still always comes up to say hi and make sure our order is correct. Unbelievable service!!! I HAVE to have my nitro cold brew. I CHOOSE to come to this location because of Chloe's great staff. read more

This location is the best one I've been to because the order comes out fast and customer service is top notch. Thank you for making my morning big tips coming next visit read more

Very patient drive thru staff. She was nice enough to walk me through the menu because I didn't have my glasses on. I settled on a watermelon mint green tea. Unfortunately, it tasted like cough syrup, so I wouldn't particularly recommend that one. read more

I've ordered here a handful of times through their app and so far, so good. Tried the Banana Pudding Best Drink Ever, Pistachio BDE, and Cookie & Cream BDE. It's ready when I show up, at least one employee always greets/thank me as I walk in to pick it up and each drink has been made correctly while giving me the caffeine boost I need. read more

I've been to this location and have had amazing service, however during this coffee run I was a bit disappointed. I tried to order a single origin cappuccino with oat milk + sweetener but my order was completely wrong. I was given my drink without sweetener so I asked for it to be added which they did, but after leaving when drinking it tasted like hot water which is when I noticed they me a "Hot Single Origin" with some steamed oat milk on top. Just a little frustrated with the experience since I wasn't bothered by the sweetener slip up, but this is not what I wanted at all. I was hoping to call the store to let them know but no one picked up :( read more

AMAZING customer service at this new Better Buzz location in Poway! Manager Kadian and her fellow baristas were we welcoming and super friendly. I stopped in on a rainy Wednesday afternoon and had a problem with my online order. They immediately helped me out and even gave me a free sticker. The friendliness in resolving my issue and welcoming and positive vibe was so refreshing. I had had a rushed day where everything wasn't going quite right and they gave me all the positive energy I needed right then. Ok on to the food and coffee: I ordered the ham and cheese croissant which was perfectly flaky, warm, and melty. My iced Americano was prepared deliciously with regular espresso and vanilla cold foam. It was not too sweet and the perfect pick me up. Thank you, Kadian and team, for a great experience today. read more

I love this new location in Poway. So well-designed, spacious, and clean. A huge upgrade from the old taco shops (Poway has enough taco shops to serve all of SD). My go-to drink (Coco Buzz) was extremely satisfying. My wife tried their new Banana Matcha, and she really enjoyed it. Our cashier and barista were friendly and prompt witn our order. Can't wait for my next Buzz! read more

Made my drink wrong for the 2nd time. Ordered ahead and my drink was wrong. Ordered a simple americano and somehow they messed that up. There should be NO milk at all. Americano is espresso & water. Disappointing. I've ordered many times ahead at Starbucks and my order is never messed up. I think I'll go back. Service is OK. Nothing spectacular. Inside is decent. Drive thru is convenient but I'm tired of my order getting wrong. read more

I've been to other locations, this one was slower than the others, I ordered a single drink, inside of the store, 12 mins..yeah I know I know, but it was not busy, barely a line outside, no line inside??? no one is smiling and it feels heavy here. You know that vibe was funky. Might just be the location? On a good note the coffee was nice, and as expected. read more

Oh wow I was super excited to try better buzz at this location but it's really crappy. I asked cashier about matcha drinks and she had no idea and sounded annoyed. The coffee was hot and fresh, not pumped from a carafe, of course it should be at 8am. It was my first visit, used gift card from Costco, ordered médium coffee with milk. It was weak, the staff person made me a new cup with dark coffee and it was perfect. I also bought an orange chocolate chip scone. The ratio of orange and chocolate was just right. The inside of the store is light and airy. The only problem is drive-up line and parking criss-crossing each other. read more

The last few times I've visited this location, the customer service has been less than stellar. Nor do they understand LIGHT ice! At a previous visit, I was told I couldn't place 2 separate orders (1 drink each) because the line was too long....that made no sense to me at all. I likely will not visit this location in the future, better coffee shops in the area! read more

Not from the area, so was looking for a local place to try. The drive thru was busy, so I went inside to order. There were multiple employees and YET the person who ordered after me with 3 drinks received her order before my 1 drink was made, only after I asked what happened to my drink. Tried their Iced banana pudding latte. It was average in flavor. Not enough ice to compensate for the hot espresso. read more

Stopped by last Wednesday and honestly everything was so good. The avocado toast was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and actually filling, plus the smoothie was super refreshing. Natalie at the cashier was also really sweet and welcoming the whole time. You can tell when someone genuinely has good customer service and she definitely made the experience better. Way better coffee than another popular chain that shall remain anonymous... Service is lighting fast at this location despite how insanely busy it gets. If you plan on coming by during lunch and want to drink your beverage inside, there's a huge chance that one of the very few spots they have will be taken. Park in the lot next to it but the sushi place and dollar tree and just walk over. You're welcome. Also, the drive through line often seeps into the Poway Road so another reason to just mobile order and run inside real quick. I'm not a coffee drinker and was thrilled to find all the tea options that my little heart could ever desire! Here are some of my faves: -Iced Matcha Tea Latte: their default is whole milk but if you prefer something else, they offer almond and oat milk for an additional charge. The coconut milk is not an additional charge thought...score! Delish with that option and has a touch of vanilla. -Iced Lavendar Tea Latte: this one is my favorite to date...does not taste heavily of lavender which I like. For the co-habby: -Best Drink Ever: an Americano with vanilla;] -Cold Brew Nitro: when he needs an added boost and superhuman abilities Highly recommend! read more

My daughter and I wanted something a bit different and were sort of in the area so we decided to try out the new Better Buzz. We hit up the drive through which was convenient but getting out is not the easiest. Next time I think we will park in the main section of the parking lot (by Dollar Tree) and walk over and order inside. The drinks were really good, we got a coconut best drink ever and a horchata latte. Both iced and were super refreshing and flavorful. Better Buzz has a great variety of different food and snacks on their board so plenty to choose from and a lot more for us to come back nd try. The barista was super nice from the moment we pulled up to the time we got our beverages and took off. Great place, the location is just a bit hard to get in and out of (but there are ways around that) read more

Leha gave me great customer service and had a beautiful smile. She always is helpful and ready to help.

I've been a long time fan of Better Buzz, and usually hit them up when I'm in San Diego. This location is in a more quiet part of SD, and has a knowledgeable staff that excels in their craft. All of their flavors are a hit, but I always need to have at least one Horchata Iced Latte with its delicious cinnamon sugar mixed in. The "Best Drink Ever" is a close second, and is one of the smoothest coffees I've ever had! You can go half on the sugar and it still keeps its flavor, too. Like other cafes, Better Buzz also makes for a great study or work area, and has a welcoming environment to get work done or plan events with friends. This location features the same welcoming environment. read more

Leah was awesome! So friendly, upbeat and provided excellent service! Thank you! Love the Poway Better Buzz!

This location, especially when going through the drive-thru, has a really bad habit of providing less drink than what is ordered and paid for. I consistently get shortchanged by an inch on my drink, either through excessive foam or just not filling it up. Let's put this into perspective. On a 16 ounce coffee, an inch missing is probably 2-3 ounces, which equates to 13-19%. That means Better Buzz is getting an extra $0.61-0.89 per drink. Doesn't seem like much. Do this 1000x per day and that's $610-$890 extra each day, $223k-$325k each year. Maybe an inquiry needs to get filed with the County for mislabeling products? read more

Aloha folks! Back to Better Buzz I went when I found out they were offering a Peppermint White Mocha Buzz blended drink. The drink was creamy and sweet with a crushed peppermint topping. Love the new oatmilk espresso drinks and Leah was so helpful and sweet. Great service and a quick drive thru.

I have actually not tried the coffees here. I love their ham and manchego cheese croissant. The flakiness of the croissant rivals that of any overpriced French bakery. The ham and cheese are savory. The next time you come for a coffee, make sure to get a croissant as an accompaniment. You won't regret it. I would pass on the "Almond butter plus jam" (almond butter, seasonal jam, butter on thick-cut multigrain). It's almost entirely bread with not enough almond butter or jam. read more
