EXCEPTIONAL COFFEE, FRESH PASTRIES, & A MORNING CREW THAT FEELS LIKE FAMILY! After years of searching for the perfect local spot that could pair a truly excellent dark roast with a consistently fresh pastry, my search finally ended with BETTER BUZZ, POWAY. For a while, I visited another local shop, but I was constantly disappointed by getting the occasional 2 to 3 day old croissant. A couple of years ago, I decided to try Better Buzz, and their Night Sky dark roast completely blew me away. It is incredibly smooth and rich; exactly what I had been looking for. Even better? Their best drink ever and Bread & Cie croissants are always fresh and make the absolute perfect pairing. Initially, the only downside was that there wasn't a location near my home. Fortunately, they opened their Poway location shortly after, and it has been an absolute game changer for my morning routine. I regularly hike in the early hours of the morning (3:30 AM to 5:00 AM), and there is truly nothing more satisfying than ending a grueling workout with an exceptional cup of coffee and a fresh croissant. While they have a convenient drive-thru, I always choose to walk inside because THE MORNING CREW IS UNMATCHED. The management and baristas here are consistently phenomenal. They are welcoming, highly interactive, and we are all on a first-name basis. Walking in feels like visiting friends or family, and they always make me feel like a truly valued customer I should also mention that I've received stellar pastries and service at several other Better Buzz locations across San Diego and Orange County, but the POWAY TEAM holds a special place in my morning routine. Bravo, Better Buzz - keep up the amazing work!. read more

Great Job to the employees; food is good and the energy in the store makes me want to come back! Keep it up!

I'm at better buzz right now. The service was great! Daysen and Tobias were so helpful. So efficient. They got my order right away. I got my iced horchata latte and pastries right away. The drink is so good! They made it just right. The pastries and gluten free cookies are so good. The place was crowded but there were a lot of seating. The parking is hard so just park in the main parking lot where there's dollar tree and etc. I would recommend this place! read more

I lived in Encinitas for a long time, and when Better Buzz opened, I honestly couldn't stand it. It was always crowded, drinks took forever, and they were more sugar and milk than coffee. So didn't get the hype. Fast forward to now, I tried the cold brew at this location while visiting friends. Delicious! No crowds, the staff was so nice, and my order was strong and ready quickly. It was also very clean inside, something I didn't really experience at the other location when it first opened years ago. I didn't try any food but the menu looked on par with all the other trendy spots in San Diego. It's definitely good for a quick grab while driving all around! read more

Leah was awesome! She provided great customer service, was friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. You can tell she genuinely cares about the customers and takes pride in what she does. Great attitude, great service, and great coffee. Better Buzz is lucky to have Leah on the team! read more

We love coming here and the coffee and food but dang they are hit and miss with the personnel. We've been here a few times where they said they "no longer do rewards" and it happened again this morning. They told my husband that "gift card rewards go back to the person who gave you the gift card" umm what??? Maybe when they pay, but how would they track this? In what universe is this? At Starbucks it doesn't matter?? Plus, news flash- we bought the gift cards ourselves!! So- where's the rewards?? Giving us cheapskate vibes we've been here a LOT. We spend a lot of money here. Last time they told us they didn't have rewards available we went to a different Better Buzz who told us that wasn't true. What is going on at this location?? We love better buzz but this is just super strange. read more

Stopped by to get some morning coffee. This is a local chain of coffee shops. Like a Starbucks but slightly better coffee. Here is the reasons for the low review. I pulled up to the drive through kiosk. I waited for someone to answer, still waiting.i finally started to pull up thinking the drive through wasn't open. As soon as I left, I could see the lady behind me pull up , I could here someone say can I take your order. So I pulled up again. Now there's a line. I finally get up to pick up my coffee. The girl hands me the first one,I grab it and it spills all over my hand. The lid wasn't on correct. Good thing the coffee was barely warm or it would have burned my hand. She hands me the second one. Same thing happens, lid not on tight. It spills in my truck. I looked and asked her for some napkins. She hands me some. No apologies or explanation. She just walked away. Glad to have a Better Buzz in the area. The closest previously was in Mira Mesa. This location has a decent sized inside, but the drive thru and parking are a bit weird so make sure you follow the signs. My go to "the best drink ever" never disappoints. read more

So sorry to say that my experience this morning was disappointing. Took a LONG time to place my order at the counter (this was at 10am, mind you, not peak busy time). No employee interaction. No one seemed appreciative of my business. Although y make the best mocha latte in town I probably won't be back. There are many other coffee places within a block that appreciate my business read more

I love the place but the drive thru upsell is getting ridiculous What's your name? Try our new acai bowl No Try a new beverage? No Want an extra shot? No Different milk? No Are you a member? Any cookies for the road? It is like an interrogation at this point and really slows the line down. 6 cars deep and we are all waiting for the upsell to go through. The coffee comes quick, the upsell takes forever just knock it off, ask about a shot or milk and be done with it already. Coffee is good so I keep coming back read more

Friendly staff, fresh ingredients (I ordered avocado toast, and delicious coffee! Also a nice place to study outside since there's a patio

Extremely slow service. Sometimes bad coffee. Why bother with the time estimate when you can't meet it?

Never had Better Buzz before and we passed by this location after a work lunch. Got the Banana Pudding Best Drink Ever. Hit the spot for a sweet, dessert type drink. Friendly staff that was pretty efficient in getting the drinks together. Our group was in and out with our orders. Clean store. Would recommend this location. read more

Walking into the building , I was greeted with warm smiles. The options of newer drinks both coffee and refreshers were mentioned. Definitely had made the interaction a lot more welcoming than my other experiences in other locations. Definitely will be coming back to this location , will be looking to try more seasonal drinks. read more

Better Buzz - Poway 12612 Poway Rd, Poway, CA This Better Buzz location is everything. From the sleek, modern vibe to the consistent quality in drinks, it's officially my favorite stop in Poway when I need that extra buzz to keep me going. Let's talk about the team -- Jay is an absolute gem! Hands-down the most enthusiastic barista I've ever encountered. His energy is contagious, and he makes sure every customer feels welcomed and taken care of. Whether I'm walking in half-awake or already mid-caffeine-high, Jay brings the sunshine. Also, shoutout to Cindia and Tony -- warm, friendly, and on top of everything. The whole crew keeps the experience upbeat and efficient, even during peak hours. My personal faves? The cortado (small but mighty!) and the lavender tea latte -- hot or iced depending on the mood. Both are crafted with intention and balance. Smooth, flavorful, and never overly sweet. The ambiance inside is clean and modern, with their "Buzz Life" mantra proudly displayed -- and honestly, I'm here for it. If you're anywhere near Poway, this is the coffee shop you want in your rotation. Consistently great drinks, genuine people, and all the buzz you need to keep life moving. AND! They have a drive thru ! #BuzzLife #BetterBuzzPoway #CoffeeDoneRight #CortadoGoals #LavenderTeaLatteLove read more

Great service & ambiance! Good place to work with the free WiFi. Vanilla bean latte was good

The wait in the drive thru is always ridiculous! Never any sense of urgency either. I also hate that I can't pay through the app and am always asked to tip on my almost $8 coffee. Sometimes their açaí smoothie is really chunky. Do I prefer some of their items over SBs, yes. However I will stick with the SBs down the road for above mentioned reasons! read more
