Stopped in here for my second caffeine kick of the day in San Diego. I usually get coffee but I already had one so I decided to go for matcha instead. The barista was so sweet and welcoming, and I stayed in this coffee shop for a couple of hours just sitting and relaxing and the great customer service really stuck out to me. I didn't think I was the biggest fan of matcha, until I drank this one. It hit the spot and was most definitely the best matcha I've ever had. I loved the atmosphere in here, the bee theme is so cute! There were seating options available and it was overall just a lovely coffee shop with plenty of menu options. I like this location and I enjoy their coffee. This review is solely based on a concerning experience I had with one of the baristas. I ordered a mint latte with oat milk and when I received it, I took a sip and knew right away it was regular milk. At the same time, my friend was watching the barista making her drink and noticed regular milk was about to be poured into hers, instead of oat milk. She was able to correct the barista in time and her drink was made correctly. When I told the barista mine was mistakenly made with real dairy milk, she told me it had not been. The drink had already turned milky white due to dairy, but I didn't want to argue with her. I was more concerned that she was willing to be dishonest than to just remake the drink. It made me think of people with dairy allergies. The people working here should remember they're dealing with the public that may or may not have food sensitivities and lying about how you just made a drink could be detrimental. i stopped here at the start of my day in coronado. i ordered the iced horchata latte with oatmilk and the feta avocado toast. absolutely loved the latte!! it wasn't overly sweet which i liked. the toast was yummy as well! my total was roughly $17. this place is a bit on the pricier side but considering that i enjoyed what i got i'm not really trippin lol. service was fine, nothing to really talk about here. in my opinion it was just a normal customer-employee interaction. there was also a bit of a line when i arrived but it went by pretty fast! i'd come here again if i ever visit the area again! read more

I went to better buzz on 9/28/23 to try a breakfast sandwich from here instead of my normal spot before work. I had ordered a better breakfest sandwich in hopes I could find a new place. It l9ooked great on the menu and loved the ingredients put in. When I received my order I did not realize it was going to be as greasy as it was. When I went to pick up the sandwich it was literally dripping oil from the egg? I had ordered no bacon on this since I do not eat red meat. But, after having this. Fantastic coffee. I'm a Better Buzz fan. But this location keeps giving me issues. Multiple times I've placed an order ahead online just to show up to find my order is wrong or has mysteriously "not gone through" as I've been told after waiting around for 10+ minutes without anyone looking up, if there's more than one person working outside the kitchen at 11am. I just want better customer service and to get an acknowledgment or any kind of apology when they fail to make my drink. The whole point of ordering online is to save time and I keep finding myself standing around waiting at the Coronado location. read more

Today I visited Better Buzz in Coronado, hoping for a better experience than I had at another location. Unfortunately, I was disappointed again. Cold Latte had a strange, cigarette-like aftertaste, just like the first time. This probably means coffee is stale. Their sweet drinks are so sweet I couldn't even taste it. While the ambiance and service are decent, the quality of the coffee is crucial, and it's currently falling short. I hope they can address this issue soon because the place has potential, but I won't be returning until it's improved. read more

BBC is our new Coronado coffee spot. We visited BB Coffee twice in two days and each time was delicious. First day we had the hazelnut divinity and Mexican Mocha. Hazelnut was creamy, sweet and delicious. The Mexican mocha was very good and not overly sweet for a mocha. Day 2, Hazelnut divinity because it was that good and "best drink ever" which is americano with vanilla. Each time the drink is HOT and made just right. We love how close it is to the beach and the baristas are always so friendly! We came by yesterday and ordered two best drink ever and an avocado toast. Very cool location here on Coronado Island but quite busy which is understandable. Better Buzz coffee is fantastic. I ordered a turkey pesto sandwich with bacon and avocado. I also ordered a chocolate coconut cold brew just to try it out. They have Ube cookies, as well as a variety of croissants. It's not exactly around the corner for me, but it's worth the drive about 10 miles. The ambience here is a positive one and the people here are in swimsuits as well as regular summer clothes, There's plenty of seating inside as well as outdoor seating. read more

Ooof, not an overall review - last time we were here we were very impressed! This time though all three drinks tasted off. Whoever was making them around 3:15 on the 5th might need a bit more training. None of them were filled up all the way either. Idk but my husbands was the worst and when he went back to have someone fix it, there was nobody to be found.
