Best Quality Tree is not your fly by night , small guy in a pickup truck company, they are a serious professional company that has government contracts , does work in SF Golden Gate park and yet will also do residential . They have state of the art equipment and owner German and his crew are highly professional. German and his crew handled my hillside cleanup quickly and promptly. Impressive how everyone in his crew handled their jobs with no lagging around. 6 guys came over and did short work on my hillside. Everyone was efficient at their jobs and the foreman was super knowledgeable, identifying the various species of plants on my hill and how to best deal with cutting them down, great info! They came right on time and I walked them around to my Fioji (pineapple guava) tree, and my Fuji apple tree. It's always sad to see a tree take a fall, but German, Ronald and company are very good at picking up the pieces and cleaning up. Their prices are pretty good, as well. Friendly and understanding, they make good suggestions but work with the owners to sort out what you should do. For example, when one of our four giant oaks fell, they took care of it but, at my request, left the massive trunk in the riparian area and topped the surrounding trees so that we still have the impressive trunks standing with foliage at the top, rather than just cut it all down. I had a large tree that was leaning over part of my house and had developed a large crack in the trunk. I called Ronald, he came out later the same day, and confirmed that the tree could fall any time. Very scary! He came with his crew the very next morning and they got to work. Instead of the job taking 2 hours as he had predicted, they were all finished in just an hour and a quarter. Tree cut down, all debris cleared away, and the yard raked so that it was cleaner when they left than it had been before they started. In addition, he pruned a pepper tree that was way overgrown and gave me excellent advice about the other trees in my yard. All three people were friendly, helpful and polite. We noticed that with all the rains a 25-foot tree in our yard was leaning more than it had been. I called Best Quality. Given the risk of downed trees during this atmospheric river, I called Ronald on Friday and he was able to come by in a few hours. Although our pines were sturdy, I chose to remove a leaning 50 footer that would take out power lines if it fell. I was also advised to cable the larger one next to it that had a split at the top. I interviewed several tree services and Best Quality Tree Service offered the best price (less than half of one service) and they had the time to get to it sooner than the others. They were on time with the initial estimate and on time for the work. (I appreciate punctuality) A week after my estimate the tree is beautifully trimmed and everything nicely cleaned up. This review is long overdue. Ronald has been to our house a few times and always does a great job. The first time, we needed a tree trimmed that the fire department deemed too close to our garage roof. Ronald was able to get the job done quickly and also offered to trim another shrub that he thought was too close to the garage as well. His prices were very reasonable. A few months later we had Ronald come back to take down a very large dead tree. He and his team got the job done in a day (including grinding down the stump and full removal) and then came back the next day and planted a new tree (that we bought) near the old tree's place. The owner, German, came the same day I called and gave a very reasonable estimate and he did not try to up sell at all, but rather told me to wait on pruning a few of the trees until it would be a better time of the year for the trees' health. They removed a VERY large pine tree that was on a steep grade and trimmed a lemon tree and 5 large oak trees. Brian was the certified arborist who climbed the tree and did the trimming. He did a great job of repairing the damage from a prior trimmer.
