Jesus these guys are absolutely garbage. They install the worst tints and damage your vehicles as well. Just when you thought it was over, these guys make it into a 3 for 1 special by finishing it with a horrendous attitude when you mention the work. I understand the enjoy the 3 v 1 when it comes to guys v guys but when it comes to cars, take pride in your work. read more

Can't believe this is my first review for Best Image. I've brought around 10 cars (not including my friends) here over the past 6-8 years and they have NEVER let me down. Sometimes people doubt me when I tell them to come here because of the low pricing but they kill it each and every time. I've brought everything from my BMW M5, to my brand new '15 VW GTI. I think out of the 75+ individual windows they've done, I've maybe had to have ONE of them redone the next day or so and it took 15 minutes. They use their own brand of film which has never let me down OR you can request that they use higher-end 3M film. I've seen several Ferrari's over the years and they even did my friends' Ferrari 458 which came out flawless. My only word of advise about Best Image would be to make sure to leave your car with them for the day so they can take their time and not feel rushed. They're a small team and every single one of them works hard, I'm sure they appreciate the space and time. Tinting shouldn't be a rush job so don't rush them :) ALL of the photos I've attached are cars I've had Best Image tint. read more

Was referred by a couple of homies that do car Shows...little less than $200 for 4 sides and the back Pros: - efficient Job - perfect shade of tint I was looking for - affordable price compared to other locations - lifetime warranty Cons: - employees spit random prices on different days, went up $40 in a week or two - long waits, dropped off at 8:30am on sat, picked up at 4:30pm - some noticeable air bubbles but hope it drys out through time Would recommend to others, perhaps for weekday appointments!! lifetime warranty feature is always nice! Well done best image! read more

With my busy schedule, I made an appointment to get my 2016 Subaru WRX's windows tinted. A few of my friends and coworkers recommended this place. The process would take about 2-3 hours. So I left the car, went out for lunch and took care of some work. When I returned to pick up my car, the tint job was great. Real great attention to detail. But there was a problem though. I elected to get 3M Color Stay film, but unfortunately Johnson brand film was applied by mistake. The 3M Color Stay Film was significantly more expensive than the Johnson film. Sandy and John were honest and told me about the mistake. Both of them were genuinely apologetic, and wanted to fix the issue. To be honest I wouldn't have known the difference between the Johnson tint and the 3M tint. If the shop wanted to, they could've lied and said 3M tint was applied, and I could've paid a higher price, but they didn't. THIS is why Best Tint in San Mateo and their employees in my opinion is the BEST tint shop out there. It's so difficult to find honest and detail oriented people in this industry. I'm really happy with them. Thank you Sandy and John for your honesty and amazing work. I think you guys need a raise. *ahem boss man* Thank you Frank for adjusting the price and making things right. Appreciate it. read more

Frank and the team did an excellent job on my M3. From the first call, to the appointment ( which i missed because of oversleeping =) ) they were still very accommodating. Prices were better than most places in San Francisco and making the trek out to San Mateo wasn't too bad for the quality of work. I decided on 3M Color Stable 35% all around except the windshield, and it was the exact look I was going for. Nothing too dark but still provides about 60% heat reduction. I wouldve went for the Johnson tint which was better priced and looked about the same but my previous m3 also had 3M so I stuck with them. I posted a couple really good pics to help others decide on how dark or light they want to go. read more

I've been meaning to get my windows tinted for a loooong time. Well, half a year to be exact. And this time it seems like fate [is greater than] Yelp in bringing me to Best Image. Super randomly bumped into my friend/coworker at Ramen Dojo at 10:30 in the morning and they told me they were getting their cars' windows tinted at Best Image. And of course, I took this opportunity to check the place out and ended up with my windows tinted too! (So they accept drop-ins, but go only if you have time to wait) The employees at Best Image were all really friendly and quick with the entire process. I had 7 windows done and got my car back in about 3 hours-which I spent walking around downtown. They did a wonderful job and had tiny bubbles in the beginning which is all gone now. They also told me it was a lifetime (or until I sell my car) warranty as long as I have the receipt. So no worries there! Only small issue is that they didn't clean my windows thoroughly so there are slight smears that you could only tell if you were looking. And knowing me, I would put off cleaning them for weeks. But it really isn't a big deal. I definitely recommend anyone who wants to tint any windows to come to Best Image. read more

A lot of my friends come here to get their windows tinted and I can see why! They're super efficient and quick. After lagging for so long, I finally found the time and brought in my Benz in last fall to get my car tinted all around. I dropped it off early in the morning and then walked around San Mateo, had coffee with a friend and was able to pick up within the hour! The girl at the front desk really knows her materials and you don't have to make an appt on the weekdays, only weekend! So it's first come first serve. I got the 3M so it's a lifetime warranty. I really liked it a lot that I even recommended my sister to get her car tinted black all around and it looks amazing read more

Got my 2011 Golf done at the shop, 3M tint 35% front side windows (enough to stay cooler but still drive safe), and 5% rear/back windows (excellent privacy). Couldn't be happier with the result. The price structure is straightforward, service is prompt, and job is quality. This is my 2nd car done here, with more referrals to family and friends coming I'm sure. Highly recommend. read more

I got here maybe 10 minutes before opening and there were about 3 other cars already waiting, so I was stuck in the 2nd morning batch. I suggest coming as early as possible to leave as soon as possible. I was in the neighborhood morning to 2pm. I went home with a burnt right shoulder since I sat in the sun. The people who work here are relatively nice. They even let me watch as I was scared they needed to take the panels out to get to my windows. Thankfully they didn't need to. But they need to shave (I think) my windows to get the edges down on the window. That was a painful process. I couldn't watch... I got 35% tints all around minus the windshield on my coupe. $140 cash each for 2 cars (coupe and suv). The following week I came back with the 3rd car and they still let me pay $140 cash since the 3rd car couldn't make it the previous week. It took about 4 days for my bubbles to disappear. It was bubble galore on all my windows, but thankfully they all disappeared. Yes, my friend even inspected them. I guess it isn't that common that all the bubbles disappear?? but they did. A few of my friends had to take their cars back. I was a bit hesitant in the beginning about getting tints, but now I am so glad that I did. 4 months later and I am loving my tints. It took a few days of driving to get used to the difference between the windshield and my driver window. I understand that 35% is relatively not that dark, but it's good enough for me. It's nice to know that people cannot see through as clearly. At night, it is pretty dark in there. read more

Best Image recently performed window tinting for a Toyota 4runner and overall satisfaction with the business is very good. The front office is responsive and detailed. Same great quality and service. Very polite. These guys are FANTASTIC!!!!! Anyone would be stupid to go anywhere else!!! read more

Such a great experience with this place. My friend called and was able to make an appointment for me for that very same day. We drove all the way from Los Banos because a friend recommended this place and seen what a great job they did on his car. Everyone was extremely friendly & very easy to talk too, they answered all my questions and took their time even tho it was close to closing time. Also I was amazed at how fast they got the job done! Very professional with great customer service. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to get their windows tinted.

I waited 4 months to write this review because I wanted to see how the ceramic tint would hold up while it cures. So far it has been flawless. I went with a 30% ceramic tint because I wanted sometime that would help block the sun's heat and not be to dark. I'm glad I went with ceramic. This stuff works! Frank and his crew did a fantastic job. They took my car in at 9am and had it ready as promised, by noon. Thanks guys for an awesome job! Before and after pictures for your review. read more

Making an appointment was easy. I was on time and they were quick to get started. They applied front tint to my car and did a good job. They said the bubbles last 3 days, it was more like 4-5 days for us but they do go away like they say (another review commented on this). Overall I am very happy and would definitely use them again. read more

Brought my car in to get the two front windows (driver and passenger side) tinted. Frank was very courteous and prompt and the windows got tinted within 2 hours. I've came here for all my cars and have had very pleasant experiences, but this time was horrible. Came here on a Saturday at 7:45am and there was already 3 cars in front of me , okay cool I should have gotten here earlier. I then wanted to get my tints warrantied out but they said they don't keeps receipts on file???? What kind of business doesn't keep files for all their clients? Okay fine what can I do. I initially wanted to come here to replace one window tint but they tell me they don't have 30% tint anymore smh so I'm starting to get a little upset now but I just go with it. I end up just getting 20% all around. They then tell me my car will be done at 2pm. I wait till then and call multiple times but nobody answers my call, I then just make my way there to see what time it will be done, cool they tell me 1 more hour. I wait another hour and I still don't get a phone call until right about the time they are about to close and say ohh we have been waiting for you. What the heck am I suppose to read minds or something?!?? Overall horrible experience. Finding a new place to tint all my new cars. read more

I have been bringing my cars here for years. The other day I tinted my 4th car here and Franks team took good care of me. I dropped off the car at 3:30 and it was finished at 4:30. I opted for the 3M Ceramic IR. Very quick and quality work. Don't hesitate with Best Image! read more

Best Image is amazing!! Their Customer Service is beyond exceptional. The front desk lady, Jackie, is always so kind even when answering the phone (despite the many multiple times I had to call back). Frank, the owner, is flexible and understanding and has one objective in mind which is 100% Customer Satisfaction. John, who is one of the managers was calm and provided great insight when I was indecisive about which tint grade to put on for the 3rd time. Overall, I am very impressed with how they handled my SUV tint situation from start to finish. Unfortunately, I did have to have my tint redone 3x to get it perfectly the way I wanted it but I am thankful the shop was easy to work with. The first time my tint was done, I thought it was best to chose the 3M color stable film because it was the "best" one they offered and the most expensive. What I didn't realize was that it had a blueish color to it, so before going with this one make sure you're ok with that. Also the first time it was done, I had to bring the car back due to air noise coming in from the drivers side. Apparently there was a small gap in the sealant after the fact. Frank said no prob and they will take care of that right away. So on the second time I came in they fixed the air gap on the drivers side, AND since I wasn't happy about the 3M film they were willing to redo it with the 3Mfx film (which is the middle grade) and refund me the $30.00 difference. After bugging him consistently, Frank advised doubling the tint in the front and only putting a single layer in the back since the back windows were already factory tinted because I was passionately expressive on how I wanted all the windows to match accordingly and have it be all dark. He helped me in the best way he could. After taking the car home I then had the air noise issue again but this time on the passenger side door, so I had to take it in for the third time again. This time i also wasn't satisfied with the tint because it was too dark now and jeopardized safety. This was my fault because I decided on this. Frank wasn't there the third time because of an emergency so that's when I met John who went out of his way to talk me through another option of only tinting the front two windows (an option frank had previously given me but I declined before). He even walked me over to his truck to show me how it would look. This time since we were only tinting the front 2 windows with the Johnson film (basic regular grade). Frank also said he would issue me another reimbursement of the difference. Even though I had to come back three times, i wasn't upset because the care that BEST IMAGE took was above and beyond. When all is said and done despite the multiple tint changes and the funds reimbursement, I appreciated that their number priority was my satisfaction even if the expense was at the cost of the company. I'm not the easiest Customer to deal with and my picky nature can tend to be excessive but Frank and his team at Best Image did not judge or make me feel like a troublesome Customer. Their commitment to quality work is just as strong as their commitment to a satisfied customer! AND FOR THAT, I WILL RETURN FOR FUTURE BUSINESS AND REFER ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY HERE! Thank you Frank and your Best Image team! read more

My husband and I had 3 BMWs done at this shop and we are very happy with the results. They have different types of films depending on the effect you're looking for. You can always go with a cheaper option if you have a short lease or you can get a high-end tint if you own the car for long lasting quality. The owner is very accommodating. They put a small stain on the inside of the driver's door on my brand new 3 series, and he was ready to order a whole new panel to fix the problem. Luckily, my husband was able to remove the stain. But that showed how the business is committed to satisfy their customers. We recommend this place to friends. read more

Very pleasantly surprised with this place! I dropped my car off on my way to work and was greeted by a very friendly receptionist. She went over my options with tints and offered up some recommendations based on what other people typically choose. She said the car would be finished around 3or 4pm. I received a call, came in and picked it up, paid and was out the door. The tint job looks great as well! Even the guy that checked me out was wonderfully friendly. *two thumbs up!* read more

I just had my car's windows tinted here & I can honestly say it's truly hard finding someone you can trust with this kind of a job. My sister's boyfriend brings all of his cars here along with his friend's cars so I decided to trust them with my car. I am happy with the job, & with the fast service I also received. Most places I hear lag it to do have your car ready, but fortunately for me my car was done within 2 hours & it came out better than expected! I recommend you trust them with you car as well & look no further. read more
