I originally selected another installer since Luminous had to custom order the film and I needed it done asap in order to stage and list my house for sale. The other installer called out sick the day of installation so I called Kevin immediately. He came out the same day to show me samples of the out of stock film and another film that is in stock but it's more expensive. Kevin offered to do the job with the more expensive film at the same cost of the cheaper not in stock film. He came out the next day on a Saturday to install the film. The outcome is stunning. After installing a very expensive artificial putting green this winter we were shocked to see some of the fringe turf melting when the sun started to come out this spring. We had previously put film on our lower windows knowing this could happen. Well, as the sun moved higher in the sky as we approached summer, it became our top windows (~20' high) that were reflecting like a magnifying glass onto our turf. Doh! We needed an immediate solution before more damage occurred. Felix responded to our Yelp messages on Saturday afternoon and was out here by 1pm on Monday. He had a suggested a film to use but since we already had success with the perforated vinyl (Vvivid) we used on the lower windows he recommended we go that route. A quick one-day shipping from Amazon and I had materials ready for him when he arrived. He's super nice to work with, answered all my questions, and even indulged me as I showed him the damage that was occurring. I won't say what he charged, but it was very reasonable. We're fairly sure this will fix the problem, but if it doesn't, I can guarantee Felix will be the person I call to find out what to do next. I liked the quote and we set up date/time to install. Simple and straightforward. Everything went as expected during the installation. He covered the work area, did a great job at installing the films, and cleaned up. I would highly recommend Felix and Luminous Window Films to any homeowners who look to improve the energy efficiency of their home. Lastly, he is the only vendor, out of 3 total that we checked, who could install the films on the inside of the skylights, which allow the films to last longer/as long as the manufacturer warranty. If I couldn't find Felix, the other guys would install films by climbing the roofs. And they said every 3-5 years, I would need to reinstall as the films wouldn't last long due to the elements.
