My first experience with these guys was great - they responded fast, the price was good, and we got scheduled right away. But on the day they were to install film on my windows, the installer noted that there was a small crack in one window pane. He showed it to me and it was almost imperceptible. He then proceeded to apply the film. Within a couple of weeks, the imperceptible crack was three inches long, certainly made worse by the application of the film. I don't fault them for the initial crack since I could see it (barely), but I don't understand why they didn't tell me that I should wait to put the film on until AFTER I fixed the pane. I expected them to be the experts and help me understand what would happen after they applied the film but they never said it would be made worse. So I get the pane replaced, and then reach back out to have them reapply the film. They offer a price ($150) that feels high to me, given they should have told me to fix the pane first and then I wouldn't have had to pay anything more than the first price the quoted me. But knowing they were going to have to come back out another time, I offer to pay $100, which seemed fair given the original job was about $650. They refused and said again $150. I suggested we meet in the middle at $125 and they refused. In the end, I just paid them the $150 since I needed it to be done but it all left a bad taste. I always say the test of a good contractor is not that there will never be any problems, but rather how they work out problems that naturally arrive. I wouldn't recommend these guys after all is said and done, all over $25. read more

I brought them in to install 3M prestige 70 solar film on six windows that were facing south . Initially, I thought the estimate was a little high just for sticking some plastic film on a window. On 05-01-24 I reached out to ClimatePro to do some house window tinting, I was told that they provide free estimates and they will be arranging for an estimator to contact me. The same day I received an email stating that Chris Knight would be contacting me but he never did, I called the office the next day and was told it was 24 hours (that was a Thursday) still no Chris Knight call. I waited till Friday still no phone call. I called the next Monday 05-06-24 and was told that Chris sent me an email so I searched and saw an email for Chris Knight sent 11 minutes ago with some interest information ClimatePro min job cost is $750 (you better have a lot of windows for that price). We contacted ClimatePro for a window film estimate, thinking that it would be too expensive to have done professionally, but were pleasantly surprised. We did all of our windows (five sliders, three fixed windows) with Avery Dennison DR Grey 20X exterior window film for under $2500. This stuff is amazing. Not only has it eliminated the solar heating problem, but also provides excellent privacy without over-darkening the interior of our home. We had ClimatePro install window films on 2 new skylights we had just installed, as well as a glass panel on our back door. Previously, all three were letting in a lot of heat from the sun, so we really needed something to help with that. Before, if I put my hand against the interior side of the backdoor glass, it was almost too hot to touch. Additionally, the light coming in the skylights would make the floor hot where it was hitting it directly. After the installation, I can put my hand against the back door window with the sun fully on it, and barely feel any warmth. The same goes for standing on the floor under skylights. We now get to enjoy the benefit of natural light from our skylights without extra heat. If you have skylights and you have not applied any kind of UV/heat-blocking film to them, I HIGHLY recommend talking to ClimatePro. Your energy bill will thank you too. Originally, I wasn't happy with ClimatePro but they redeemed themselves. I had an appointment for an in-house consult which they flaked on last minute, but because of the lack of options in the SF area for window frosting vendors, I went ahead and accepted their option to have samples mailed to me. They were also reasonably priced. They were booked out weeks in advance but I somehow got my install date pushed up by a week which was great. The guys that came were super friendly and best of all, quick and did a great job. Not to the fault of the guys who did the frosting, I got a complaint from the owner that the frosting covering the whole window was a bit suffocating, and it was after the guys already left. I sent an email to Dan, the original person who took the order - he made a few calls and though they were extremely booked up, had 2 guys come the next morning to fix it to our liking.
