I had a great experience with Graphix Lab and would absolutely recommend them. They did a chrome delete and taillight tint on my Tesla Model 3, and I also brought in my own screen protector, which they installed for me. The work initially looked fantastic, and the car immediately had a much cleaner, more aggressive look. A few days later, I noticed some bubbling on one taillight tint and a small issue with the screen protector. When I brought it to their attention, they immediately scheduled me in, were prompt, and took care of everything while I waited--no excuses, no delays, no pushback. When a business does great work, that's wonderful--but how they handle things when a correction is needed says just as much, if not more. Update (12/31/2025): I noticed very thin hairline marks in the center of the front windshield. Initially, I assumed it was residue from the tint/PPF removal, but after a thorough wash and later cleaning the interior glass, I confirmed the marks are on the interior side of the windshield and appear to be scratches. I've tried multiple glass cleaners, isopropyl alcohol, and a clay bar with no improvement (see photo). I also found residue still eft in the VIN display. This is appalling because the windshield had been newly replaced before my first visit. Overall, this was the worst experience I've had with a shop. My car was in like-new condition beforehand; now it has deep exterior paint scratches, interior plastic damage and panel gaps, and windshield damage that may cost thousands to repair in total. For these reasons, I am downgrading my rating from two stars to one. Original Review (12/10/2025): After nearly six months of saving, I finally set aside enough money for full window tint coverage and PPF for my vehicle's front and rear windshields and moonroof. Before my first visit, I replaced my front windshield due to cracks from numerous rock impacts. I asked Leo (the owner) if I could have PPF installed on the new front windshield as soon as possible because I didn't want to risk it cracking again. I also had front windshield tint installed at the same time because I was told that adding tint later would require replacing the PPF due to the need for a precise exterior molding. Despite being fully booked for the next several weeks, Leo and his team accommodated me, and the installation was completed the next day. I sincerely appreciated that gesture. Unfortunately, everything that followed was a nightmare. After the front PPF and tint installation, I noticed several concerning issues: - Multiple areas along the windshield edge where the PPF was peeling - Side moldings that were not properly reseated and visibly stuck out - White residue obscuring the VIN display - Excessive lint embedded under both the PPF and the tint - Several creases in the tint I returned to the shop to address these problems and to proceed with the remaining tint and PPF for the rest of my vehicle. When I got my vehicle back, the residue around the VIN display was cleaned up, but the previous problems were still apparent--and there was new damage to the interior and exterior of the car: - Hairline scratches on the roof and exterior door panels - One scratch on the roof was deep enough that the clear coat was clearly damaged (I have since used touch-up paint to help prevent rust) - Very noticeable amounts of lint trapped under nearly every tinted window, plus a strand of hair in the rear-left window tint - Uneven PPF cuts along the edges - A discolored radio bezel - Marring on the black plastic of the rear interior door panels, as if someone pried them with a sharp tool - A gap where the door panel and frame meet I brought my car back again and asked Leo to correct these issues. At this point, I was getting frustrated because my vehicle had been carelessly damaged. After almost a week, I received my vehicle back. The radio bezel was fixed, but the rest of the issues were still unresolved. In fact, there was even more damage: fresh pry marks and marring on the black plastic of all the interior door panels, in the areas where the screw covers are located--and the panel gap was still a problem. At that point, I completely lost faith in their work and asked for all tint and PPF to be removed. To their credit, I wasn't charged for the labor to remove everything--so at least I didn't have to pay extra to undo the work that never should have been done this way in the first place. When I got my car back for the last time after the tint and PPF removal, Leo had somewhat improved the scratched interior plastic surrounding the screw covers, but it was still a problem and still noticeable. Unfortunately, I deleted most of the photos I took of the damage because I honestly believed everything would be fixed and I wouldn't need them anymore. In hindsight, I should have documented everything thoroughly. I am deeply angry--and hurt--about how my vehicle was handled and the consistently poor quality of the work. I care about this car immensely; I take better care of it than I take care of myself, and it holds tremendous sentimental value. Watching it come back to me repeatedly in worse condition each time was truly heartbreaking and felt like a slap in the face. Financially, this has been devastating. I am now out nearly $2,000 because I was denied a refund, and I will likely need to spend another $2,000 at an auto body shop to repair the damage that occurred during these installations. I gave Leo my trust and multiple opportunities to make this right, and I stayed cordial throughout the process--but the way this was handled, and the progressively worse condition my car was returned to me in, truly breaks my heart. read more

My experience: On August 20th, 2025, I scheduled a visit with Graphix Lab for a full front PPF, matching front door tint, and full ceramic coatings quote for my 2025 Lexus NX. I dropped off the car on the 26th with an expected pickup date of the 29th. There was a communication gap during the process, especially with the Labor Day weekend approaching, and I received the car the following Friday. The work itself was excellent and clearer updates would have made the experience even smoother. The work: Graphix Lab is top tier when it comes to bulk PPF fitting. To the untrained eye, you cannot tell the vehicle has film applied. They wrap edges to create a true full coverage install. The recommended ceramic tint matches perfectly with the factory Lexus tint. During my post-inspection I noticed a small issue with one panel and Leo helped resolve it immediately at no charge. I completed the two week check up and wash and received the car back the same day. I own a 2015 GMC Yukon Denali. As many people who own a full size GM truck from this time frame, these vehicles have paint defects from the factory that primarily affects the hood and roof. I had my 2025 Audi RS3 all windows Tinted back in August, somehow I discovered a few tiny bubbles on the windshield and side windows, so I reached out to Graphix Lab and brought my car for them to see them in person and try to fix it. I was nicely greeted by the owner Leo, who is very professional and looked at the car's windshield and right away noticed that there are some lint trapped in between the glass and film, so he decided to schedule me to have the tint redone. When I brought back the car to Graphix lab for the Tint Redo, I also requested to have my black shiny center console to be wrapped with matte finish film to avoid the black finish to have fine line scratches on them, so I chose the Carbon Fiber Matte finish film that Leo provided a sample to match the other OEM Carbon Fiber materials inside the car. I didn't want to rush them, so I picked up the car the next day. Again, Leo nicely showed me the finished job, I was ecstatic with the center console wrap, it goes well with the interiors and most of all, the windows were perfectly done, they checked all of them and replaced the windows with imperfections as well. They didn't damage my car and they didn't leave too much soapy residue on my interior panels. Paid for full front end PPF with the agreement that some portions like the mesh grill wouldn't be wrapped, but I ended up with really subpar work for premium price. This full front end PPF was closer to a 70% partial front PPF. My car also has multiple damages from their work and all I got was "Why should we be liable?". e.g. My driver side aftermarket mirror just fell off and broke because it didn't adhere properly. No worries since they caught that same failure and remedied it with new tape on the passenger side. Lo and behold, it was never touched by them after I spent a good hour heating up the adhesion and cutting through it with fishing line to fact check them. I wanted to give a special shoutout to Leo--the owner and manager of the company--as well as Maire--a wonderful Graphix Lab associate--whom both helped with facilitating the tinting of my 2024 Hyundai Elantra N, Performance Blue. Upon my initial inquiry, I was searching for a shop that would install chameleon tint on my vehicle windows. I reached out and was respectfully greeted by Maire who informed me that their shop had to take a $100 deposit for the special ordering of a light blue chameleon tint. I happily accepted and proceeded to initiate the inquiry for the light blue chameleon tint installation. After setting up the appointment--and having had the weekend pass--I had second thoughts about the chameleon tint and decided to go with an all around 5% SunTek Carbon tint on my vehicle instead. Luckily, there were no issues to proceed with the tint as I was informed by Leo that they would simply set aside the light blue chameleon tint for future use. Excited for appointment day, I showed up and was kindly greeted by Leo. Leo informed me of the process, had my vehicle expediently taken to its location for the installation, and I was promptly contacted within just a few hours. Upon pick-up, Leo informed me of the after care procedures and I must say...My car looked amazing!!! I am very happy with the meticulous job performed with the 5% tint, it is such a nice addition to the car. I drive a "classic" Acura RSX Type S which (not unlike her owner) is beginning to show some signs of wear, specifically the tinted windows. I procrastinated replacing the tint for at least two years but once the film began to actually peel, catch and tear every time I opened/closed the window I knew it was time to cough up some cash and get at least the driver's side window done. That's when the true cause of my procrastination came to life as I deliberated over where to get estimates. I asked my mechanic, whose recommendation was to try any of the multiple shops in San Mateo; "just check them out." This wasn't exactly my idea of a good use of time plus how would I know I could trust their work and not get ripped off? ;.( Walking in off the street seemed like a dumb idea (tried that with the one shop I visited in San Mateo); thankfully they were too busy plus it was obvious l I wasn't exactly their preferred caliber of clientele. I made a hasty exit then drove back toward South City to learn what Graphix Lab was like. I had driven past their location for months but could never determine which driveway to pull into without causing a rear end collision. Luckily that Saturday afternoon traffic was light and I pulled a fast right turn into the small adjacent lot where the big flapping sign for Window Tinting perpetually waved. Of course they were closed at 1pm but I could see a gal behind the front desk and she was kind enough to open the door and provide me with an estimate! She was friendly and helpful and just as kind as she could be. Her name rang a distant bell . . . "Maire" McCarthy ;.) I knew I came to the right place. Maire happily confirmed my appointment for the following Monday and I'm SO GLAD I chose graphixlab !! This establishment clearly knows what they're doing and takes their time to do it RIGHT. Update: It has been 4 years since Graphix Labs completed a carbon fiber wrap on 4 parts of my car (side skirts, front skirt, and spoiler). I came in to receive an estimate to get it replaced with fresh wrap, as it has since faded. At the time, I only spent $375. The new estimate came in at $895 (not including removal & an added chrome delete). The total estimate was $1,500 (more than half to wrap the entire vehicle). Absolutely ridiculous! When I politely expressed my concerns, they immediately responded with "That was 4 years ago - we have grown exponentially as a shop and so has the market and industry. Rest assured, these prices came from Leo himself." I am not one to write a bad review, ever. However, I do not feel like they value customers who supported them before they "exponentially" grew. I had my BMW X3 wrapped in an Inozetek Metallic Racing Green film as well as some exterior hardware (carbon fiber spoiler, and other carbon bits) installed by Leo and his team. They also treated the car with ceramic pro gold following completion of the wrap. This car looked amazing (you can see pictures on this Yelp page), and the quality of wrap work done had me constantly surprising people after telling them that it was in fact a wrap and not a factory BMW color. I can also speak to the durability of the work, seeing that it has now been 2 years and all seams are holding strong. Leo then impressed me even further with his service when the wrap material unfortunately began to have some oxidation issues after just a few months (including weekly hand-washes). Leo worked with the company to source an entirely new roll of material to replace the damaged areas, set up time and scheduled a slot for me to bring the car in to rewrap, all free of additional charge. This is the type of service anyone should expect from a top quality shop, which is exactly what I found here. 10/10 work and I would recommend Graphix Lab to anyone looking for high quality service in the Bay Area.
