I took a bridesmaid dress for alterations and had just an absolutely terrible experience. Their reasonable price initially attracted me but was a bit uneasy that the seamstress herself didn't' speak English and her son (owner/manager) was doing the translation. But I figured it's a small immigrant family owned business and wanted to support them - and so accepted the inconvenience of using a translator. Both her and her son seemed to rush me when I initially wanted them to measure carefully as she did so in haste ... both told me "yeah yeah yeah i understand" over and over. I returned a few days later and it turned out she had taken in too much, the dress had an awkward fit in the hips and two spots were poorly altered and looked pretty much like "Joe's" 7th grader home ed. project (even with her "40+ years of experience". Despite all this, I stayed calm and polite and asked that they measure carefully this time and fix the mistake. During this conversation and my return to pick up the dress, both the owner/manager and the seamstress were extremely rude. Instead of apologizing for what had happened he yelled, slammed and threw things (door, register, etc.) during our conversation and multiple times completely ignored my presence / questions & comments - despite my polite mannerism "sir the hook is missing from the dress ... could you please ... " To top if off, he lied and told me the hook, that was strangely removed from the zipper and pined to the inside of the dress wasn't part of my dress and was attached to my dress accidentally - the dress originally had a hook :l
Their fair prices are absolutely not worth it - the work had poor quality and their customer service is nonexistent. I highly discourage anyone from using their alteration services (for the poor quality) and their general dry cleaning service because of their bad customer service. More than anything I am very disappointed at the man's disregard for his customers and lack of courtesy. Somewhat in disbelieve that a business person would behave in such a manner. read more
