Our relationship with Best carpet and Mario started well. Personal referral, good dude good pricing, good service. After install we noticed the main living room piece was stained from being the outside portion of the roll and just being dirty. Rather than clean it Mario had the guys replace the whole piece. Seemed above and beyond. Cool. Problem was the seam where it met the hall piece was crap. Kept coming apart. Months of unreturned calls followed by store visits eventually got us a guy and a hot glue gun. He cut out the seam and patched in a 1" strip with hot glue. Now we have 2 noticeable crap seams within an inch of each other and the stiffness of hardened glue to walk on and explain to everyone that walks in our otherwise beautiful home. I really didn't want to write a bad review. I found this place a few years back for my sister's new place, because they had good pricing. They installed some carpets and flooring. Carpet we didn't have issues but while installing the kitchen flooring they didn't know the oven was still attached and in process of taking it out they broke the door of it. sister was happy with floor and needed a new oven anyways so we were chill about incident. Few years later I spent money on snap and click in flooring. Was originally going to have friend install it, but because we spent so much on flooring didn't want to chance them messing it up. So I called best carpet. Told them situation. They quoted me around 1350 and I was happy because once again good price. Later when I called to confirm price, was told no they wouldn't do it because we didn't buy flooring from them. reasons are they didn't make much profit etc. etc., which I understood but they ended up honoring their agreement. Was thankful. Flooring guy came spent about 2 days on flooring. After they were done I paid $50 more than asking price and tipped the two guys $100. I did notice some issue right away like where he cut the door base for no reason and left a gap but I overlooked because I was just so happy to have a new floor. Then the bigger flaws showed within the first two weeks. I notice gaping within the planks. Some gaps i felt before i saw it. I called best carpet. They said they would call the guy who installed. Never got back to me. after I noticed gapping I really took a look and notice the big gap in doorway cover. The corner of hallway. Corners of kitchen. the list just went on. Pandemic hit. Things were closed so I really tried to be patience. I know business' were struggling and I waited for them to fix the problem. However, no one ever fixed it and no one ever called back. I went through almost a year of calling and never getting a call back. I'm not the type to call every day and harass. I would call and give time for them to try to resolve. When you make an agreement with someone for a price, you should stand by your work. You choose who you send out to the houses and if there is a problem you should try to resolve it because you want a repeat customer. This situation just makes me sad. Wouldn't recommend. you might get lucky and they send a good guy to do work but if not your stuck like me. why risk it. read more

Best Carpet has THE BEST CARPET and THE BEST PRICES in Southern California, hands down. Many carpet companies will either request that you walk in to their showroom to see which carpets are available first, or charge for an in-house estimate that will later be reimbursed if you choose to go with their company. I broke my ankle a couple of weeks ago snowboarding and was unable to come in to see the carpet in person first since I wasn't able to move or drive, but Mario the owner was very flexible and sent his in-house estimator to get measurements at our house in Hacienda Heights first and was cool with us coming in with my boyfriend that weekend. Mario personally handles each and every order which I find incredible, especially since I also work at my own family's business and that's practically impossible to do. He was even working on Saturday when we walked in, which is really cool to see as I'm sure he could easily hire someone else to take care of orders on the weekends. Much respect! We received quotes from five other carpet companies and Mario beat the next best price by $600! It's pretty crazy how low of a price he gave the carpet to us for. The quality is awesome and we're super happy with the install. His crew of installers were courteous, professional, and quick with their work. They removed 1,000 square feet of old carpet and installed the new carpet in five hours; this area included a loft, two bedrooms, and one flight of stairs. They vacuumed and cleaned up well, and didn't leave a mess. Mario also ensured that if there's anything wrong with the carpet then he'll be happy to send the crew back to fix anything. Awesome company, rad owner, excellent product, great customer service. We're very happy customers. Make sure you stop by his showroom to see what's in stock as it changes day by day. This was commercial carpet for my office so I just needed it purchased, installed and done. I picked a sample, gave them the square footage and paid. Called for an estimate, they came out to measure, then I went into the store to pick out the carpet to get a price to install. They lost my measurements and could not find them. Picked out carpet based on my measurements but Mario said they had to order it and will arrive the following week. I didn't mind because my deadline for install was a month away. I called week after week and they kept saying maybe it will arrive with the next delivery. Same story each week. (two months later) When it came down to 4 days before I scheduled it to be installed they said the carpet is no longer in production and will not get it in. Phil said my best bet would be to get Carpet somewhere else. So now that we are at the start of the Covid shut down again, there is no way I can get carpet measured, ordered, and installed in 4 days. I can't believe they hung me out to dry and led me on for 2 months. Bad business and bad karma. Don't know how this place got any good reviews. Not reliable at all. Just hope the carpet you like is in stock and they MAYBE be able to come through for you. But I wouldn't hold your breath. They will tell you what you want to hear but didn't come through for me in the end. read more
