Very poor customer service. Despite being a college student I went into the store looking to spend. I received about two minutes of help before the rep interrupted me to help another customer. After pacing awkwardly around the store I returned to the section and made eye contact with the rep who proceeded to hold his hand up to his ear, seemingly pretending to talk to a coworker. If you're a young person like me I strongly recommend buying online and getting your advice from people on YouTube who no doubt know more than the people working at best buy. read more

Ok, out of desperation came here for an old-school am-fm portable radio. First employee didn't know what "transistor radio" was, sigh. Second employee directed us to clock radios. Third employee confirmed that clock radios and boom boxes were our only option. On our way out, we stumbled upon a rack containing small portable am-fm radios. Very grateful to scoop one up, but no thanks to the workers. read more

The Geek Squad helped us out tonight by rebooting a 14 year old hard drive and recovering files we needed for our business that we thought were lost. Amazing job by Owen, very friendly and very professional. I highly recommend if you need help. read more

Bought many products at Best Buy including my phone, TV and printer. When the Epson printer stopped working and my phone was slow to download , I couldn't figure out why. I brought them into Best Buy to have the Geek Squad check it out. They advised that they couldn't check out the WiFi Function at the store and would have to come to the house. I said ok but when they told me it was going to cost $79 to check out the printer and then added another $100 to check out the phone at my house, I was stunned. Seriously? A house visit for $180 doesn't seem reasonable. I declined. Went home and had my internet service remotely zap my router and fixed the phone. The printer is still not working despite a strong WiFi signal. so I complained to Serena Baker at the store and NEVER heard back from her. Customer service very disappointing, over priced and unresponsive . Guess they don't care about good repeat customers. read more

...HORRIBLE! I had recently made the decision to purchase a $450 tablet from this Best Buy after a lot of consideration and debate. Theyre ~$100 less on Amazon, I have a friend who works for apple and offered me his friends discount, and yet after a lot of thought, I had decided to spend the extra money in order to stay local in case i had customer service issues. Well, i had forgotten to get a screen protector, so went back (unfortunatly in the mean time, i had wrist surgery), asked the greeter if after purchasing the screen if I'd be able to get help putting it on (now, im alone, with a huge cast on my arm up to my finger tips), he very nicely said "of course" and told me to see Customer Service after picking out which screen protector I wanted. Picked out a $35 screen protector and proceeded over to Customer Service. I explained the whole situation, where the employee quickly said, "sure, we charge $15 for that". EXCUSE ME!!!???? I just made a huge purchase from you so I could stay local for Customer Service and this is the service that Best Buy provides?! Does Starbucks charge for the cup after you buy the coffee??? The guy at customer service just continued to repeat that its a standard fee to apply the screen protector. So... aside from myself who obviously has no use of my right arm... you guys charge people who, perhaps are not of the technology generation, who are just trying to protect their purchases?! So I called to speak to a manager (Ian) about this customer service that they offer, actually more to have him educate the greeter that they should inform people of these hidden charges and he continued to reiterate their policy that is standard accross all Best Buys about this charge for assistance. After much "re-itterating" about their policy for charge customers for this service he finally said if i came back in, he"d waive the fee. THATS NOT THE POINT... this wasnt a customer looking for something free, I was looking for help protecting a very large purchase i had bought from you, and you try to nickle and time everything you can out of a customer. So, thank you for my last purchase, Ill never be back, Ill certainly be sure sure to share my experience with anyone debating making a purchase from you, and I'm sorry to have already given you so much business when you obviously dont give a .... about your customers. read more

They allowed me to use their computer to print out something which was very helpful. I purchased my items with coupons and gift cards and the transaction was smooth and quick for it being busy. For the most part I was happy with the customer service, Happy overall and would recommend read more

#1 Tech Store in Vermont. You can't beat the prices, and if you can they price match. The employees are there if/when you need them and no matter what you want they will have it there. Also after shopping the Maple Tree Plaza is right there which can lead to a fun family day of getting your shopping done/gifts for the kids and then the park which has the movies or frozen yogurt nearby! A welcoming place and they had a very nice and caring young woman, Breanna I believe, helping me and my family find the best computer for us. read more

Helpful, friendly staff. They never give you any hassle about returns. Always check their prices though, especially against their own web site. Several times I've found sticker prices not marked down to the level of their own online store. Ex. Computer hard drive in store for $130, bestbuy.com for $99. read more

I have used the Best Buy stores in other locations, frequently, and over many years, and all with superior results. The Williston store is just barely ok for new equipment purchases. For repairs, the geeks here are the least effective and least customer oriented of any that I have ever encountered. I took a laptop in for some software upgrades. The geeks did not reinstall the browser I wanted them to upgrade and reinstall. I dealt with three different geeks and all three were dismal in the customer service area. The geek customer service here is most unsatisfactory. All the other Best Buy stores I have been to have had skilled geeks who communicated effectively with customers and made sincere efforts to please customers - but not the geeks in Williston. Avoid all geek service at this store. read more

After waiting for 12 minutes on hold just to talk to someone, The associate that answered knew nothing. Every question was met with a very long pause while he looked it up or checked with someone. I had no confidence in any of the answers I received. The ironic part was that while I was on hold, the message kept repeating about what professional service they offer. I prefer to shop local where you get much better service. read more

Not the least expensive, nor the most. If you check the specials, you can find some good deals at Best Buy. BUT... make certain that the price on the register (or your receipt) is the same as the price in the sales flyer and/or on the shelf tag. One big plus is that the sales staff don't pester you to buy extended warranties. A salesperson told me that they don't work on commission, so they don't need to upsell or push warranties. The staff are also (for the most part) knowledgeable and pleasant, and they don't take it personally or hassle you if you return something; they have looked in their computer system to find purchases I made so I could make a(n) return or exchange. Best Buy is easily the first brick and mortar store I think of in this area when purchasing electronics. read more

Best Buy Williston,VT This is a great store. I know you read reviews of other Best Buy locations that are not great but every time I stop in for a TV, computer, computer problem, etc everyone is helpful and friendly I had a computer hit by lighting a few months ago and when it could not be save I bought a new computer from Best buy. They suggested that I invest in restore discs, which I did and today that paid off. Despite have the best active anti virus software the virus got through, I used the restore discs and was able to get the computer working again. I called the Geek squad twice with questions and they were friendly and helpful. It's wonderful knowing that we have that store in our area. read more

Went in there yesterday October 13, 2013 to buy a universal power adapter. To find out that i needed to ask literally 7 different employees that didn't 1. know what I was talking about and 2. once i dumbed it down they had no clue where to find one in the store. COME ON!! Best buy! most of the devices you sell tend to have some sort of power adapter. Finally asked the geek squad and they had to go out back but they found it and knew what i was talking about. Wow. For a massive electronic store they really don't have what your looking for besides overpriced tv's, ipod excessories and salesmen who don't know their product just like you don't know quantum physics. word to the wise. Go there to find what you want and buy it online. read more

Not your best buy on appliances that require installation. I bought a gas stove, microwave and dishwasher. As with the other big box stores, BB's installation service is plug and play only. I was unable to get a plumber in to install a new gas line and attempted to push out the delivery date to give me more time. I followed the instructions on my receipt and called their "delivery" number, which happens to be in Manilla, Philipines. I was the 12th person in the queue and elected to receive a call back. When the callback finally came, I was put on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up the phone and went back to the store the next day for a full refund. As part of the original sale, I opened up a BB credit card and also received 2 $50 gift cards, which I was asked for and handed to the salesman issuing the refund. I received my credit card in the mail and during the activation, I asked what my balance was, which should have been ZERO dollars, but was in fact $100, which represented the giftcards. I called the store to get the outstanding gift card balance resolved and had to tell the same store over the course of two days to 3 different individuals. One of them told me that I needed to call some number and tell them that the cards were lost and I was gobsmacked that they wanted me to lie for them because they could not locate the gift cards I returned. I finally got to speak to the Appliance Manager and demanded that a credit be issued to my account immediately. I did get a call back this morning and a credit is in process. I re-purchased all the same appliances at a 50 year old family owned local business at a higher cost than at Bust Buy, but they are supplying all of the necessary personnel to make this a plug and play experience FOR THE HOMEOWNER, not for the big box store. From now on, I will support the struggling little family enterprises who both appreciate my business and get the job DONE!!!! Bye, Bye, "Best?" Buy read more

I have never seen such bad customer service! I visited Best Buy today with a client who was interested in testing out chromebook before buying. We weren't even in there for 5 minutes before we had spoken to 3 different employees all of whom were rude, condescending, and dismissive to my client who was asking valid questions. The only reason I'm giving them one star is because the fourth person we asked for help was very nice and patient. I would never buy anything from this place! This experience has forever turned me off to Best Buy. read more

Run away!!! Whatever you do, do not fall for their promotional interest rates and credit cards. It's a farce!!! They try to get you to use their card, set up auto pays and then don't tell you the promo is over and you get hit with 25% interest rates!!!!! This is how they get you. Avoid their credit at all costs!!! Don't let them take advantage of you. Our mistake cost $600 and customer service told us its tough and would not help out at all. TERRIBLE COMPANY!!! read more

I would score this store a negative star if it allowed, on several occasions today in particular I went in having already researched a printer I wanted to purchase. The lack customer service and lake of professionalism of this stores employees are some of the most ridiculous I have seen. After waiting 35 min for someone to even ask if I needed assistance I was told that the model I was looking for was unavailable. Yet in the 35 min I had to wait I had located 2 on the upper shelving isles over. Not to mention while I was waiting and yes several times asked a few folks in "blue shirts" for assistance I was told this isn't my department. read more

Just went in to buy the Samsung Galaxy 5. 5 Reps are busy helping 3 customers, so I'm looking around. Check out the phone. Still no one comes over so I check out accessories and cases, then go back to look at the phones. Then just stand there, and still none of them come over. Finally I just give up and begin to walk over to the Blu-ray and suddenly a Rep. runs over to ask if I need help finding anything. Nope, I'll just run to one of the Verizon stores now. Perhaps they'll be interested in selling me a new phone. Seriously the customer service at this Best Buy has just gotten worse and worse lately. Are they closing and just don't care? Or is the overall management of the store just that poor. read more

I feel the same way about Best Buy as I do the big hardware stores....lots to choose from but never anyone available to help you. My last two trips in were pointless. After waiting to speak to someone about speaker wire only to find out they didn't understand what I wanted to do even after showing them a text from my IT person with a picture of the cable I went to The Super Store and was help right away. Then just this past weekend went in to pick up a new GPS and after waiting to talk to someone for 30 min...they were out of stock. They have a great selection just not enough staff. read more

Buyer Beware!!!! I placed an order for microwave/hood, double oven and dishwasher on Aug 6. On Aug 7, my son notified me that HE had been notified of the purchase and delivery date to his apartment. That same day I went to this Best Buy and had all of this corrected and have a copy of the changes on the order. Today...they are trying to deliver my appliances to Fairfax...REALLY? NEVER AGAIN. Talk about lack of attention to detail and unprofessionalism... Poor Poor Poor..... Worst Best Buy on the planet!!!!! read more

I purchased a refurbished laptop from Best Buy online after having multiple conversations with Best Buy employees in Williston, VT. I had the laptop delivered to the store. I went to best buy to have a rear camera installed on my truck, the camera purchased through a best buy "approved web site" has written on the box about less then 1 hour easy installation. I'm waiting now 4 hours later. After 3 hours I was told it was done. It was but as sloppy and AmerisourceBergen as it could be, loose wires and just plugged into the "cigarette lighter". I've always bought all my electronics, never again, they just don't care. read more

The worst customer service ever! Purchased 2 tablets for my daughters with the extended warranties to boot. Sent one back for repair. Two months later I go back after receiving confirmation that our tablet was their for pick up. I go to the store and they have no record what so ever of getting it back. The manager apologizes and gives us a store credit for another one. Here is where it pisses me off! I give them the other tablet we purchased two months ago to be sent out for repair. Same process we wait and get a confirmation it's fixed. I go back and again they lose all info and have no clue where my tablet is. This time the manager cops attitude with me and basically calls me a lier and says theirs no trail of this tablet. Treats me and my family like scum and basically calls me a liar. I work in retail and have never treated a customer this way. These guys are a joke. I will never spend a dime with these clowns again. read more

I am a person that if I find something on line I always call the local store to place order my order. I wouldn't go in expecting the staff to do anything useful. I went to get a wireless mouse. I had a specific type in mind, but when I did not see it on the shelf, I pulled an employee aside and asked him if they might have more in a back room or something. After he told me no, I asked him which other model he might recommend. He replied with, "I can tell you, but you won't like it." He then proceeded to tell me that he only uses wired mice because he didn't have to replace the battery and he knew "how not to hang himself with the cord" (his words). He went on to say that he didn't understand why wireless mice existed in the first place. At no point did he give any insight regarding what I was looking for or admit his lack of expertise and call over another employee better suited for the job. He simply decided that since HE didn't like what I was looking for, he didn't have to help me. And he was snarky to boot. read more

Drove an hour to Best Buy in Williston to get a radio for my kitchen, was unsure what isle to find one in so as soon as I entered the store I asked for assistance. The gentleman I talked told me that they had none in stock and to purchase one online (I had called the day before and the woman I spoke to told me there were a few different brands in stock) I told the gentleman I originally spoke to when I walked in about the phone conversation the day before and he shrugged his shoulders and told me a few different isles to check instead of taking a few minutes of his time to help me out. Needless to say I found them myself after walking in circles for a good ten minutes because the isles are poorly labeled. I then made my way to the phone cases and grabbed one I liked and headed to the check out where I noticed it was the wrong size case for my phone so I went back to the phone case isle to find another that would fit my phone when I realized that none of the phone cases were in the correct spots (isle labeled iPhone 5-5s was full of iPhone 6-6s cases) while checking out I told the young cashier about my complaints and he apologized and told me he would let his manager know. I'll give you one star for having a good cashier besides that your store sucks. read more
