I came in to buy a new screen protector for my phone and thought I was able to find one with the assistance of a couple staff members. I bought one that was compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S24 and after purchase they offered to replace my old protector with the new one I bought. Turns out I actually needed one for the Galaxy S24 FE version which was my mistake. When staff searched for the one that I needed, they could not find one in stock. ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE: NEVER TRUST GEEK SQUAD WITH IPHONE REPAIRS Even though they are an authorized Apple service provider, dealing with the Geek Squad at this Vacaville location for an iPhone warranty repair has been an incredibly frustrating, incompetent mess from start to finish. I dropped my phone off on 8/16. I had already completed all advanced troubleshooting myself (restore and DFU mode) to fix a boot loop unsuccessfully. The Geek Squad agent, Abraham, couldn't get it to work either, so he determined the device needed to be shipped to an Apple service center. He did warn me that the turnaround would be 3-5 business days and that all my data would be wiped. If I could do it all over again, I would have walked out right then and gone straight to an official Apple Store. Why? For starters, Geek Squad does absolutely nothing except act as a useless middleman to ship your phone away. Unlike an actual Apple Store, Best Buy doesn't provide a loaner device, which left me digitally stranded without a phone for a full 10 days. Had I known they were just going to mail it out and let it drag on, I would have handled the shipping to the service center myself to avoid this massive delay and inconvenience. Instead of the promised 3-5 business days, the process took a full 10 days. According to official carrier tracking, the repaired phone was physically delivered back to the store and signed for by a Best Buy employee named Roman on 8/24 at 10:29 AM. Yet, when I went to the store two days later, they claimed they didn't have it. They tried to give me the runaround, making up nonsense excuses about needing to call Apple and have them provide a "new serial number". After I spent hours trying to call the store (Best Buy does not route any of the calls to the actual store), and escalated the issue to Apple Support to demand accountability, the store finally called me back with an excuse claiming the phone was "misdelivered to the PetSmart next door." Absolute BS. A courier doesn't drop off a secure, signature-required Apple service shipment at a pet store. They clearly just misplaced it in their own house and lied to cover up their internal tracking mess. To top it off, Apple swapped out the logic board, so my data is completely gone. At least that is one thing I can't blame the store for, but definetly some poopy icing on an already decaying cake. Geek Squad's internal logistics are a total joke, their communication is nonexistent, and their customer service is built entirely on excuses. Save yourself the massive headache and go straight to an actual Apple Store or handle the mail-in process yourself directly. You cannot contact the store directly - really inconvenient for store specific questions. Not the staff members fault... Good selection - I wanted to get pokemon cards for my kids, they're trending like crazy so they are hard to find. Was able to get 4 packs and kids were happy!! Waited at the aisle 5mins, had to get someone, they called someone over. Waited 15min. Lots of blue shirts walking past, but help never came. And people wonder why consumers are shopping online. Then he directed me to the appropriate section. He said he would call someone over to help me. I waited at least 15 minutes with the blue shirt boys literally avoiding me. I guess a 55 year old woman isn't worth a conversation. So I started asking GROK to help me select what I needed. Once I guesstimated the appropriate computer I had to chase down a blue shirt to go get it. When trying to confirm that I was selecting the correct computer, the kid kept looking for an escape instead of making eye contact with me. I walked out without the camera stuff because I couldn't stand another minute with the young man who was totally put out helping me. Located in the Nut Tree Shopping Center, this is one of the less busy Best Buy in the local vicinity. They are decently stocked, but if they are out of stock in the store, you can order and come by to pick up the order once it comes in. If you purchased online, you have the option of in-store pickup or curbside delivery in one of the dedicated pickup parking spots. My son and I came in on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving as they had a pre Black Friday sale on a gaming PC that he wanted (great deal at $500 off the original price). Online, the app said they had a "few" of these in stock, so we went in to purchase it versus ordering online. They didn't not have any of this particular gaming PC on the floor, so I had to track down an employee for help. They were not busy, so there were a bunch of other employees walking around, but not where the computers were. I tracked down an employee walking by and they had to track down an employee that worked the computer department. They had to grab the computer up on the storage shelf, so it took a while for them to find the computer. Checkout was smooth and quick. Overall a good experience. read more

Today I visited the Best Buy on East Monte Vista and had an excellent experience. I was having an issue with my earpiece, but fortunately, I had purchased the warranty. Since the exact model I originally bought was no longer available, I was given store credit toward a new one. A young associate named Emani helped me, and he went above and beyond. I wasn't sure which headset to choose since I didn't know all the features available, but Emani took the time to go through the reviews, explain the options, and make sure I found one that fit my needs perfectly. Thanks to his help, I now have a headset that connects to both my work and personal phone, which is exactly what I needed. Best Buy, you have a truly outstanding employee in Emani. Long story short, called to ask condition of open box Samsung Soundbar. Was told no scratches and the only things was missing was documentation and in good condition. After purchasing it online and driving over a hr to get there I was surprised when the clerk brought it out. There was no box, no wires, no rear satellites, the only thing was the actual Sound Bar and Woofer. Not only that but there was so much damage on the Sound Bar where it was coming apart. When I did not hear back, I contacted them again, and the second person said they could not see my interaction with the first person and they would not exchange the product because it was past the 14 day return. I came in to make a payment towards the outstanding balance on my loved one's card (who's physically unable to come into the store nor make the payment online). I was assisted by DJ who acted like I personally insulted his entire bloodline. DJ said he couldn't accept my card since it wasn't under MY own full government name. I didn't realize we were running transactions through the FBI today.. Naturally, I asked him when this 'mystery' policy was implemented--or when it suddenly became a thing--because I've never had this issue before. Not once. Swipe-swipe, thank you, goodbye. But now? It's giving "new rule, who dis?" The policy must've been written in invisible ink because it sure didn't exist on any of my previous visits. Instead of answering like a normal human being, Dj instantly puffed up like I accused him of a federal crime. I literally just asked a question. A policy question. That's it. No attitude, no demands--just curiosity. Then came the dramatic monologue about how he's "been working here for 10 years," which... okay? That's cool and all, but I asked about a policy, not your résumé. His tone? Unnecessary. His attitude? Through the roof. The whole interaction was dripping in hostility, and all I could think was: if this is how they treat someone for asking a basic question, how are they even still in customer service? In addition, do you talk to all woman like that? I left feeling uncomfortable, disrespected, and honestly kind of stunned. Horrible Experience - Misleading Sales Tactics and Unprofessional Behavior I'm not one to live bad reviews unless it's a warning to the community. I'm writing this review to warn others, especially business owners and professionals, about the nightmare I went through while trying to purchase an oven from Best Buy on behalf of one of our clients. Back in May, I went into the store to replace an oven that had been damaged. I had the original model paperwork (looked up for me by Kelly, who was helpful), and I made sure to cross-check everything with Scott, the salesperson I was assigned to. While Scott seemed friendly at first--oddly complimenting my lip liner, which felt unprofessional--he was also overly talkative and barely let me explain the specifications I needed. Still, I trusted him after confirming multiple times that we were ordering the right oven. I paid $2,600 and change, which included installation, using my business debit card (as I didn't want to be forced into signing up for a credit card or line of credit, despite their persistent upselling). The price Scott had given me didn't match the online price, so I called him out and he changed it since the online price said $2999.99 but he had said $399.99 so I ended up paying $2600 & some change. Him lying he had given me an additional oven. Yet in reality he had ordered the wrong oven. Then things went downhill. When the oven was delivered, the client's wife immediately told us it was the wrong model. I called Best Buy right away. The representative on the phone acknowledged a mistake and said I'd just need to pay an additional $1,200 for an exchange. It's all recorded on their line. Soon after, Scott began calling me repeatedly, saying he wanted to "make things right." I went back in person to pay the $1,200--now totaling $3,800 what would have been $2999.99 & some change for installation --even though this was their error. But when I got there, Scott changed the price again, saying it would actually cost $1,500 more, and I'd also need to repay for installation! That brought the total to over $4,200, far above both the online and in-store price for the correct oven. Scott even said he was doing me a favor with that price--can you imagine? At that point, I told him I would be contacting our insurance provider because it was clear Best Buy wasn't taking accountability. Fast forward to July 11, 2025--I went back to the store to try and resolve this. I called ahead at 1:15 PM and was told Scott would be in if I came back in 30 minutes. I did--but surprise, Scott avoided me completely. I was then told to speak to the appliances manager--an older man with a ponytail--who immediately refused to exchange the oven, saying too much time had passed (even though the delivery was only made on May 15th, and I had been in communication with Scott the whole time, who knew I was waiting for insurance). The manager was aggressive, rude, and loud, speaking down to me in front of other customers and my sister like he had been waiting to attack. His tone and demeanor felt racially charged and extremely disrespectful. This isn't the first time I experienced that manager's dismissiveness. On my initial visit, he brushed me off, saying he didn't work in appliances--only for Scott to later say he was actually the manager. Total contradiction. Now, they're telling me my client has to just keep the wrong oven because I'm not a member and don't have a credit card with them. That says everything. In summary: They delivered the wrong oven. Changed the price after I already paid. Refused to correct their mistake unless I overpaid again. Sales staff gave misleading info. Management was unprofessional and borderline discriminatory. They punish customers who don't have a store credit card. Avoid buying appliances from Best Buy--especially if you're paying with debit or cash and expect to be treated fairly. I just wanted to shout out the Apple department at Best Buy, and especially Mike, who went way above and beyond to help me out. I came in knowing I needed to upgrade my 2020 M1 MacBook Air and was honestly thinking about switching from Mac to PC. I've been using Apple products for years since 2004, and the idea of making a change was not fun, but I came in pretty sure I wanted to switch. Mike didn't think I should switch and to prove it--he went out to his car, brought in his 2022 MacBook Air, and let me try it out right there in the store. That level of trust and support isn't something you see every day. He walked me through the differences between my old machine and the newer Apple Silicone laptops, listened to my concerns, and helped me feel much more confident about sticking with Apple. Not that they are going care, but I had the worst experience. I ordered an Xbox w/ a 24 month Xbox game pass ultimate subscription. The subscription cost $250 extra, which compared to a 29.99 a month charge is quite a deal. Well, the Xbox got delivered and never worked. It failed a required update, and even after going through each troubleshooting step on the MS help site, it still failed. MS indicated it needed to be repaired, and I should take it to Best Buy (Geek Squad) to have that done. I tried, but all they wanted to do was give me a refund, and oh by the way, we are sold out of that bundle, too bad, so sad. If they sell me something and it's broken when it's delivered, then they won't make it right? Fine, swap the device and give me eight 3 month subscriptions. I'm pretty furious right now. Where are the store personnel? Nowhere to be found. When I ask for assistance, I'm told they'll try and find someone, but it may be a bit of a wait. Why didn't I just buy it on Amazon in the first place? Well, I wanted to patronize my local retailer. Help keep the kids employed. But this store is so dramatically understaffed, letting security cameras and padlocks do a big part of what human beings used to do. But one thing electronic surveillance does not do is SELL. And padlocked display cases are the very antithesis of sales people. So, sorry to say, Amazon is going to win this one. read more

Experienced a most DISRESPECTFUL and rude encounter with Best Buy employees yesterday. My guy was returning an item and the cashier gave him two extra dollars. Being the honest gentleman he informed her. She disrespectfully recounted the refund twice as if he was lying. She finally calculated it right (my 8 year old grand baby could better than her). Upon clearing up her error she did no acknowledgement. My guy politely told her Have a a Nice Day and she had a blank stare rolling her eyes with no response. He awaited in another section to report the encounter near another tall 6'6' Caucasian cashier. This cashier was by hisself and avoided speaking or asking how can I assist you? He walks off to another area of the store! After asking now another employee for the manager she makes herself available. Upon telling the manager she claims she will speak to them. This is behavior that should never be occurring to any customer. We frequently make several purchases here but expect to be treated with RESPECT and simply ACKNOWLEDGED! How hard is that? The level of unprofessionalism here and management is so bad it is almost unbelievable these people were hired. My girlfriend drove more than an hour to pick up an item as we share an account. When she arrived at the store she waited for more than half and hour just to leave empty handed. I always check out Best Buy...their staff is super helpful and friendly. They are quite knowledgeable about the products, the only complaint I would have is that I can normally find the same product cheaper elsewhere. Having said that, I ALWAYS buy any new laptops from Best Buy, and I buy the one year plan, so I can have access to the Geek Squad, who are the BEST! You can bring up to 3 devices to them during the year ( I believe) So, all in all, if you're looking for a great deal on a holiday....go to this establishment! I just got a call from a Sarah with Customer Service at Best Buy..... I was glad to get the call since I had not received any bill. She said I was overdue.... I told her I was waiting to get the bill to send in my payment in full. She talked over me.... Told me she would take my payment over the phone even after I told her I was going to send my check. I am a well established honorable man... In fact I am a hospice chaplain with excellent credit. I did not like being talked to the way I was talked to by this customer representative. There was no feeling of friendliness or understanding. When I bought the headset which I bought at the store in Vallejo... I had to wait a long time to get someone to help me. The rating I would give customer service there is... indifferent The headset which I paid over $500 for gets hot on my ears and is uncomfortable.
