I admit that I have noticed best buys customer service getting worse and worse. So I actually bought their total care package for my mother's house and for my own house. So I have 2 of them at a $179 apiece per year and they automatically renew, oh and I've used them. And now that that portion of their customer service has devolved as well, so I bought a microwave on sale that they had on sale there. There were only a few left but I got in there in time and then I scheduled the delivery while I'm in the store so I take off work this. Day and? I actually went into the office and came home to make sure I'm here in time but they emailed me and they told me that I need to schedule my installation. I'm messaging back saying I already have it scheduled for today. So I ended up talking to a person who is a total care concierge because I get this amazing supposed service now and they said oh yeah, there was a computer glitch, apparently, so they don't have any more of your microwave. So no, that's not what happened, they sold it to somebody else I was like. You know what? But that's okay, just you make it right? Then we're good. This is okay. You, we have these others you can buy, but you got a big difference, cause these are on sale, but they're not as good as the sale I got in addition, they can't deliver it get it to me today for to to finish the installation that I took off for but I can go pick it up in person. Okay, I can do that, but but long as long as it's done today, this is the day I need it. It's like, oh no. No, we can try delivering next week sometime, but no, that's not an option, they have gotten worse. read more

Another horrible experience at Best Buy today. I look online to make sure a laptop is in stock before i come. Steph (operations manager) provided horrible customer service, was rude, and was very unprofessional. I was the only one shopping in the computer department, won't open a used laptop ($1499 new) to see if how bad the scratches or even if the computer boots before I purchase it. Not just saying no, but the way he did it. Best Buy will be out of business soon because of this type of customer service. Micro Center is a further drive, but a better business model. read more

OK, I wish I can give negative stars. This company placed cameras and locks in my home, however, the lock on my bedroom door was placed backwards, and I crushed my fingers between the handle and my dresser. Before the installers left, I told them that my lock need to be placed properly. They said I needed a right hand lock and to call Best Buy. I did just that and I was told the lock was actually a right hand lock and that I needed to go to the store to sort it out . I went to the store and I spoke to Sean, the store manager and he told me he had nothing to do with it and to call the headquarters. I called and called and nothing. I'll post the pictures and what the original lock looked like when it was placed. It had no handle or knob, and I could not use it. I had to bend down and open and close the door from the bottom of the door. Within 2 weeks, The locked locked on its own as I walked out of the room and I had to bust the door, to get in my bedroom. Best Buy refused to come, but I eventually that's is why I had to bust the door in. Since then, I've had to hire an attorney, and borrowed money, and I am still waiting as they have had me to use five customer service, representatives, and three attorneys. So far I have spent including my time over $200,000. Here's the thing about it. I paid for this service on February 17, 2022. They did the initial placement on February 28, 2022. I've only asked for the money back and for the door to be repaired. The attorney said that the lock was only place backwards, and I should live with it. I have driven so many miles that I've gone back-and-forth to the store and Home Depot to get estimates for the door and lock as they requested. I currently use Airbnb to keep myself safe, however, I have not been able to use Airbnb in almost 2 years in order to provide safety for myself and my home. So far, several thousand hours and almost 2 years, they offered me $957 for the entire project on my door. It is not even enough to do any other work. Best Buy is worth $1.5 billion. Their president makes 10 million. They don't even wanna pay $3000 to fix what they did. Now they're saying that I have been in contact with the company that placed the original lock. I don't even know the company that placed the lock. And if I have been in contact with them, believe me, Best Buy would've dropped me a long time ago. I am so sick and tired of this. I can't believe that they're actually used two attorneys and five customer service representatives. To this day, October 7, 2023 my door is still busted and they are still arguing with my attorney that is how to not fix it or give me anything back. I had Geek squad, now I'm behind three years and I cannot afford three years worth of geek squad. I have submitted all of my evidence five times yet they keep asking for the same evidence over and over again. My attorney says that I can only ask for reparations for the lock in the door and the door frame. I think that I'm going to give him , the amount of some of my time along with the lock door, let's not forget the ruined door frame. Oh yes, all the mileage that I have been to and from Best Buy and Home Depot. How could a multi billion dollar company try to get over on a person over $3000 that they stole? If I could give 0 stars i would. I came here to get a new screen protector which was under warranty. Cree, who started helping me had no clue what i was talking about. So he tried helping me for about 5 minutes. Ok cool. Pretended like he was looking up some info in their system. Said give me one moment and walked away pretending like he was going to get more info and next thing you know he's on the floor assisting someone else while i was at the counter waiting for him for about 15 minutes. I walked in here to buy a PlayStation 5 because they had them in stock however after looking at my account history they decided they didn't want to sell to me since I've purchased others before (the lady literally went to the back to get one and changed her mind). I was accused of being a reseller and the racist manager threatened to call the police on me because I called him out for lying since he couldn't provide evidence of a policy that forbids customers from purchasing multiple consoles - because there isn't a policy that exists. I've been in and out of Best Buy for 3 years because of mistakes their employees make when installing my radio. Now it's set up to where you can't even call a store directly for help, you have to talk to someone not physically in the store. Then trying to schedule an appointment with car audio is like playing the lottery. Either it's their off day or the amount of time the install will take is too long. One of the employees even said how the employees in car audio get it easy and they hardly ever see them actually installing radios/speakers. read more

I actually went back to this store after giving it a 1-star review a while ago (and never having returned), but they were competitive with their price on an item that I wanted to purchase and hubs and I had a gift card to redeem, so I bit my tongue and went in. Well, well, Best Buy. You got one more star since my previous review. You've trimmed down the size of your store; the part that was chopped off that was about one-third of your space is now a Mattress Firm to the east of you. You seem to have organized your merchandise slightly (and let me emphasize the slightly part) better. Your selection of items is hit or miss, in my book, as I perceive you as a trendy establishment: you're not looking to appeal to the general public, per se, but rather to either the geek end or the technologically challenged. And, woe is me, your sales staff continues to need some serious training. I knew what I needed when I walked in here -- model number and all. I'd done my research, but I always look for a second opinion. You know how that is. For some quizzical reason I sense that employees who work in this industry may perhaps know more than I do (a totally false assumption, I assure you). In any case, I couldn't locate the item, for the shelves weren't really labeled distinctly enough for me to discern what was what -- it was all a sea of blue and gold as I walked through the computer section. Finally, I flagged down an associate who showed me that "Ah, ha!" here they are tucked on this side shelf all together. As he escorts me there, he quickly lets me know: "If you need any help, let me know." Oh, joy, I think! I may actually pick this dude's brain. Scan the shelf for less than a minute and then I look up for him and POOF! I'm all alone. All alone. Hubs has gone to play with the tablets and I'm stranded. Neck craning around, I start looking for Mr. Help-Me-Out, and the guy has literally disappeared. Pfft. So much for picking what brain he may have had. Located the item I had researched; cajoled hubs away from the tablets (the iPad Air was enthralling him) and headed to the checkout. Checkout was quick, so I do have to give Best Buy kudos for that. Odd thing, though, as we're checking out: I notice pictures and names of their employees on the wall behind the cashier; each of them labeled "Best Buy Associate Since XX" listing their beginning employment date. There wasn't an employee listed that I saw that didn't have a starting date before 2011. Puzzling? Actually, for me it was troubling. I've worked in retail and I shop enough to know that you don't run a successful operation by turning over your staff every 2 to 3 years. I've made several trips here, each one is different than the one before. Sometimes you get attentive clerks, other times it seems as though everyone is in hiding- hard to get assistance. My online experience with purchasing an item was great. I received up to date notifications throughout the day regarding my order, and that was very assuring. My store pick up experience was a different story. There was only one person in front of me being assisted by one attendant. I patiently waited in the line marked "pick ups," but that still not provide a clue to the store clerk. I waited for about 10-15 minutes (or so), never greeted or acknowledged, and he never asked for someone else to assist. When he was finished with the one customer, he offered no apologies for the wait, no greeting and still asked if I was picking up an item. I made a yelp just to review this place, genuinely the worse experience I've ever had at a store. I've been going there for 2 years now to fix a problem with my laptop fan, I bought it at this store so I figured they would now how to fix it. They sent me on a wild goose chase constantly saying it was my fault, I was using it too much, I had too many things, some workers flat out refused to believe me and I was constantly dismissed me. I spent literally hundreds of dollars at this place constantly giving them my computer and having them return it exactly the same. Over $800 later they finally admit they could never have fixed the problem as they weren't allowed to tamper with the hardware of my computer. This was after over 10 visits mind you. They made me buy their stupid $100 insurance too. I took it down to UBreakIFix and they fixed it on the first try for less than any of the visits to this shithole cost. I feel scammed, I was saving money for college and it's all gone for a problem they knew they couldn't fix from the beginning. The anount of money I wasted here was almost the cost of my compute. If you're getting something fixed save yourself time, money and emotional distress and just go somewhere else. read more

This Best Buy is sooooo frustrating! Despite having many sales associates roaming the building, there never seems to be anyone available to help you. Also, when you do manage to flag someone down, they aren't very helpful. I don't like the new remodel of the place. I think the layout before was a little more shopper friendly. The bathrooms are also always disgusting. The only positive thing is their warranty program. We have had several items replaced so the warranty is worth the cost. However, their repair system is ridiculous! The repairmen don't keep inventory on hand so when you call in they attempt to diagnose your problem over the phone and send you the parts they "think" you will need. Well two visits later, and about 10 parts shipped to us, they still can't fix the problem with our fridge. So we are getting a replacement fridge. I've been a customer here for several years. They have remodeled and downsized the store and I like it less. I've bought everything here from big screens and components to phones to kitchen appliances...big stuff and small stuff. I usually have an ok experience here if I can find what I want. Recently, I needed something to hold my android in the car while using "maps". Bought a windshield sticky thing and a mat to stick it on , if needed. I figured if I didn''t need the mat, I could just bring it back. At checkout, the girl at the register was very friendly and I told my son as we were leaving that it is something special these days when an employee at a store like this goes out of her way to be nice and helpful, rather than sullen and just moving the people along. I didn't need the mat, so I took it back. I though it may be an easy thing, middle of the afternoon, just walk up to customer service and get a credit on my credit card. Instead, I had to stand in line with the dead laptop people, the geek squad people, the people who needed to "contact the supplier" to get what they needed and the people who needed to "check with the manager". It was disheartening that the store couldn't have a station for people who simply wanted to return a $25 item for credit. When I finally got a turn, I was required to produce my drivers license so the clerk could record my license # on the return. I asked him why and he just said it was store policy but could not give any other better reason. WTH is with that, Spring Best Buy? Why do you need a drivers license number to credit the account on which the purchase was made of a $25 cell phone mounting device? Huh? At least, brief your people of the reason for silly policies like that because they will get asked why. I read all these reviews before stopping by this location. I was already on my way here and in the parking lot while reading them, but I went in anyway because it is a convenient location. I was in to check out some 4K UHD smart TVs. While I didn't buy I got the best and most honest service I've ever received at any Best Buy location. Marco in home theater was young but very knowledgable about the products he was selling. He was not pushy, and was very honest about his opinion and even when he wasn't entirely sure about a random feature I asked about he simply said "I'm not sure". As far as the store, it is very clean and relatively well organized. Definitely not as bad as some have made out, however retail stores can get very disheveled on sales days etc. and most of that is from the customers that visit the location. I will definitely be buying from this location when I'm ready for my new tv. read more

I have been loyal to Best Buy for many many years as I really liked their customer service and layout. I would spend around 30 minutes each time I went there checking out the TVs and surround sound systems. I was sure that whenever I'd be ready to buy my TV system, I would go straight here and get advice from one of there knowledgeable employees. Sadly that is no longer the case. The remodeled the store in a ridiculously shopper unfriendly. I can't stand being there. Everything just looks really plain and there's very few employees in the areas to help the customers. It now seems that the employees don't have time to help the customers and are rushing when asked questions. In the past, when I asked them to look up something such as competitors prices or inventory at different stores, they gladly did it without hesitation. Unfortunately that's no longer the case. I really hope BB turns things around because I really don't want to be buying my electronics at Wal-Mart. :( read more
