Yay! I finally got to replace my missing AirPods and ordering online for pick up was so seamless and easy. It was my husband who picked it up for me so I was not able to interact with the staff but from the online ordering to when I got the email that my airpods were ready for pick-up, it did not take more than 2 hours for that. I recently went into the Spokane Valley location and started the process of buying a kitchen suite with four units. I had a number of gift cards that were sent to me from my company. This is where it gets bad. Jim, the appliance manager was amazing in trying to assist me with the process of ordering all items needed And was friendly. The problem came when I had a number of gift cards that apparently raised suspicion. I ended up having to go back home without my order after talking to the manager there that stated they had fraud happen before with E gift cards. And they gave me no option to use The e-card that I had on my computer to allow the purchase to go through. Everybody was very nice and cordial. I just feel bad for the short sidedness of management and or the policy to take or not take E gift cards. primarily because Jim lost out on a good size commission check with our order. I had to go home after realizing that they company that I received my E gift cards would not exchange for physical gift cards. So I placed the order online through an online service representative. That ended up taking me the better part of 2 1/2 hours because of all of the gift cards that I had to manually input. I'm only saying this because it's not like I look sketchy, they could've verified my gift cards by the time that I would've taken delivery of the appliances( 17 days away from now). I got people are Larry of getting scammed, but Best Buy got their money, but one of their very competent and helpful employees did not get a nice commission check from our order. I'll just say sorry Jim. Hopefully Best Buy in the valley will do the right thing and give him at least partial commission for an order that was probably worth a pretty good commission check for him. read more

I typically have great experiences at most Best Buy stores. At this location, my niece and I visited here. Upon entry, we were quickly greeted by an employee who welcomed us and asked if we needed assistance. I inquired if I was able to pick up an online order that I had originally purchased at the East side store. We were directed to the Order Pickup window. I explained again. Was informed it could be done, however the transfer process could take anywhere from 5 mins to 45 mins. I was willing to wait. Thankfully, it took 5 mins. I also purchased a protection screen for my Iwatch 2/pk. Customer service was nice and prompt. They also assisted my niece with the return of her merchandise. All went very well. read more

i called for TV repair, Best Buy charges $130.00 appointment fee to diagnosis the problem. When I called in the employee asked for model of #TV which I gave them and the employee confirmed parts were available so I made the appointment. The Best Buy employee who was a home theater employee not TV repair person called because he was 2 hours late and told me the parts were not available. This is after I took the day off work to meet Best Buys 7am -7pm appointment window. When i called in to address the issue the employee would not transfer me to supervisor and hung up on me . Better Business Bureau number complaint for Best Buy 13,037 total complaints in the last 3 years. read more

I scheduled an appointment for my iPhone battery replacement and I was not impressed. The employee helping me was decent but the store has failed miserably. Apparently it's Apple's policy prohibiting Best Buy from replacing an iPhone battery when the battery is 80% or above. However, where Best Buy fails terribly is this is no where on their website. You read the fine print, this is no where to be found. I drive 30+ minutes only to be told I need to lose 1% more battery life. Keep this up and you'll have the same fate as Circuit City. read more

I bought headphones and didn't like them so returned them the next day. I used a gift card and my credit card to initially pay. I go into Best Buy to return and decided I'd get the more expensive pair of headphones as I wasn't happy with the cheaper ones. I have a few more gift cards in my arsenal and the representative helping me (Staci) said I couldn't use them, when I was able to use them the day before. I had to go online and buy through the website to then be able to pickup in store. I was inclined to not do business with them at all but I had gift cards so had no choice. So here I am waiting in the parking lot after placing my online order writing this review for my headphones. If I was just able to use my gift cards I wouldn't have had time to write this review. Not very good customer service at this store. I saw that there was an open box model listed at a price I liked but when I went to the store the item had a different price, even though it matched the description listed online. The manager tried to tell me some b.s. about different stores have different prices even though the website said the price for THAT store. Then they looked it up on the computer and said they couldn't sell it because it wasn't in their inventory even though I was stating right at it. I don't blame the employees, I know their hands are tied. I bought a very expensive computer through Best Buy at the Spokane Valley Mall. The computer was shipped direct to me from the manufacturer but was defective and I had to return it. I haven't bought much from Best Buy in the past, had never returned anything. I had the essential paperwork but was assuming the return would be a hassle. In fact it was so easy, the guy was very nice, took only a few minutes and the full amount was back on my credit card by the time I drove home. What a relief! read more

They were only supposed to transfer data (not programs) from my old computer to the new computer. The geek squad totally mixed up everything. We could not detangle the mess. Ok, so part of this experience was my own fault for not calling first before leaving and trusting Samsung customer service. We were having trouble with one of our new phones, the Samsung S22 Ultra, acquired through the AT&T exchange program. Seems one of the common issues is the phone stops reading the sim card. So we followed all protocols with calling AT&T first and going through every single one of their troubleshooting suggestions, and they said they would escalate us and send a confirmation email. None of which they did/followed through on. So we took it to an authorized store. Did the same troubleshooting and eventually inserted a new sim card that proved it was indeed not reading it. Since we just got these, AT&T told us it should be covered under manufacturer warranty and to contact Samsung, which we did, and went through all their steps as well. They then informed me we would need to bring it to an authorized BestBuy for an exchange and that he had alerted BestBuy that we were coming and what the situation was. A one way drive is an hour and a half for us. We arrived and nobody knew a thing. In fact, the Geek Squad tech told us they had just signed the contract with Samsung June 1st to be an authorized service store but they had no access/connection to the website program they need and that his supervisor had been trying to contact someone over at Samsung to get their reps to stop sending people over. I KNEW I should have called to confirm. Never trust an online tech's word no matter how confident they sound. So, they suggested we go back to AT&T to see if we could get resolve. We explained everything we went through and they could do nothing. I got on the phone again with Samsung, while still in the store, to "share" our experience thus far and that they needed to make this right. It took me explaining my story 7 times to get to a manager to set up a return so their techs can troubleshoot it and MAYBE get us compensation. Since this phone is used for 50% work we couldn't be without one so we had to buy new one from AT&T and HOPE we get compensated from Samsung a couple weeks from now. THINGS SHOULDN'T BE THIS DIFFICULT TO RESOLVE. What happened to companies standing behind their products, especially glitchy technology...or companies working together to support each other? So I apologize that most of this is really a review of AT&T and Samsung. For BestBuy to not step up and do anything at all on our behalf to act as a middle man to get this resolved, especially if they were SUPPOSED to be contracted with Samsung, common! read more

All I needed was to ask a question regarding service to an IPad. I called twice, first guy I could not understand his heavy accent. He hung up on me. 2nd time I again got a foreign accent but I made out that they would not connect me to Geek Squad without a membership. I tried emailing..again, had to have an account number. I tried sending an email but wouldn't go without an account number. So, the decision I made was to take my business elsewhere. I have purchased phones, a smart TV and several other items at Best Buy. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. We purchased the most expensive all in one computer at Best Buy. We needed to have all (except programs) of our data moved from our old computer to the new one. We emphasized that we meant all of the "non-program" files that could reasonably be moved. We purchased the geek squad service agreement (paid an extra $200) to have them transfer the files. When we picked up the new computer, we noticed that most files were missing. They stated that they only moved the "User" folder (the vast majority of our files were not in the User folder). When we signed the work order we said the work was unacceptable and asked them to try again. They did. They made one folder on my computer and put everything else in it, just dumped it there. We tried, but we could not untangle the mess. We had them take the computer back and we exchanged it with for a different computer. We moved the data to the new computer without a problem, but it was a lot of work. Since their service was unacceptable, and we had to trade for another computer, we asked for our money back on the geek service. They agreed to only a partial refund. Best Buy geeks are just geeks. Spokane Valley Best Buy is clearly a bait and switch operation. My wife bought a phone from there and they clearly didn't deliver what we asked for and tried to blame it on supplies... After they said we would be getting the new galaxy 23 ultra. And then when we purchased a laptop, shame on us for buying anything additional, we were quoted a refund on a rewards card for a certain amount which didn't happen. When I asked to speak to the manager they said they couldn't do anything in the store to help us. I asked again to talk to the manager Josh Watkins and he came out and said I can't do anything about it you'll have to contact the rewards center and they weren't any help either. Beware of this store as you will get taken on your purchases based on what you're told upfront. Do not shop here I would not recommend it. read more

We purchased a washer and dryer at the Spokane Valley Best Buy on 2/23/23 with the promise it would be delivered the next day. It is now 3/7/23, and after two nearly incomprehensible calls from customer service reps for whom English is clearly a second language, we were supposedly set for delivery today between 9:00 and Noon, Pacific Time. It's now 1:30 PM and I have an appointment I need to go to. There's no sign of the installers. I have texted them 3 times ... with no response. It makes me wonder if they ever even have the appliances they sold us in stock. I have already paid for the appliances AND their installation or I would be cancelling this order and going to another vendor. Apparently, once they have my money, Best Buy loses interest in follow-up. I won't be shopping there again. My suggestion. Shop local, even if it costs more, and make sure the item(s) you are buying are in stock and that the retailer has their own installation crew and control of their scheduling, not some low-bid customer service center in Malaysia or the Philippines. And helps him become better. He needs guidance on how to treat customers. I won't go into full detail. I purchased a kindle as a gift, and the $30 case to go with it was the wrong size. Since this was a gift, this wasn't discovered until after Best Buy's 14-day return policy, even unopened. I brought it back after 18 days. I was very offended to be told I couldn't exchange for the correct size, unless I paid $50 for some subscription service. It felt like a shakedown and I'm very dissatisfied, I used to go to Best Buy specifically because they made thing s like this easy, but will take my business elsewhere after this awful experience. I used to love this store, unfortunately nowadays, too many employees either on their phones or having personal conversations amongst themselves. I believe it's important even though this is a box store to buy local. I couldn't get anyone to unlock the cabinets to the products I wanted to purchase. When I asked the manager at the front door (Josh) he smiled and said they were understaffed and wouldn't help, he then gave me the store managers (Tracy) email, who never responded to my comments. First of all, I have not shopped at Best Buy in five years. The reason is simple: after buying a refrigerator, I went to use my rewards points from this purchase and learned that they had already been used. This is worst store for customer service I have ever dealt with. I had two charges on my credit card and wanted them to just tell what the charges were for. They both said renewal. I call at 9:00AM and they said it would be 1:35 min wait or I could leave my number and they would call back. They never did call. I called again at 11:30 AM, left my number, they never called me back. At 1:53 PM I call again and tried to talk to someone and I told them I just wanted to no what then charges were they transferred me to the Geek squad again where I had a 1:36 min wait I left my number again. This went on three more times. I would give them a minus 5 stars for service and customer relations. The other Best Buy had called and said I was on my way and would be a few minutes late. Walked into Best Buy. When the guy finally came out, I had told him i was there for my appt. He then acted like he was working on the computer and said he had to cancel my appt because I was more then 10 minutes late. The time was 629. My appt was 620. I walked in, bought a new laptop, monitor, keyboard, plus all kinds of warranties and service items for a total of $3,000.00 that I promptly put on a brand new Best Buy card. The problem is, they don't answer their phones. When you get home with your merchandise and call the store with a simple question, a national call system takes over and you get caught up in endless robo-conversations that DO NOT answer your questions.
