Best Buy at the south loop is terrible. Always long lines and today I walked in with straight to get me ink got in line an associate said we should go to the front register because this one was busy with a credit card application. So we said thanks and went to the front registers but they had over a dozen people waiting in line. So we decided to go back to the original register where there was no waiting except the guy taking the application. We're there waiting then a manager comes and tells us we need to be in a queue. We look at each other, what queue? We are told when you came in the store if you are purchasing something you are to be put on a queue. Well no one masked us anything except giving us advice that the person at the register may take a bit longer due to the application. Well she the manager refused to let us go next even though there was no one else in line with us. She like I can add you to the queue if you want to make a purchase. Very rude no trying to speak to the other associate that told us we should go to the front to save time. We gave her back the one item I was about to purchase and bought somewhere else!

Excellent customer service! My husband ordered a blue Apple Watch online and I wanted to get black . When I went for pick up I asked to exchange and it was an easy exchange... everyone was very helpful

This order was in Nov-26. As of Jan-11, my line is still locked and Best Buy refuses to help. I've spend 30+ hours on the phone to date.

Thee words: F**K Best Buy. During Thanksgiving, I was originally happy to see Best Buy's Trade-In Promotion for the new iPhone 13 Mini and the promotional value they offered for the iPhone X was awesome (about ~$400). That's about the only thing awesome about this whole thing. I went through the Best Buy website to trade in the phone. Please see the screenshot below. As part of the online trade-in process, they ask for the phone specs and TWO additional questions: (1) Does your phone turn on, and (2) Is your SCREEN cracked. Both of which were non-issues for my phone so I proceeded with the trade-in. Fast forward 2 days later, I go to the store to pick up the new IPhone 13 Mini and give them my iPhone X to complete the trade-in. The clerk tells me, "Sorry but your phone does not match the condition you statted online. We're going to need to cancel your order" WHAT?!? When I ask what about my phone does not match what I stated, they said - there is a crack on the back of the phone which I did not disclose online. I then proceed to pull up their website to show them that NOWHERE ON THEIR WEBSITE DO THEY ASK ABOUT THE BACK OF THE PHONE. Only if it turns on and if the SCREEN was cracked. Regardless, they canceled the order and proceeded to start a new trade-in to show reflect the damage of the phone and said they can offer $100. 75% less than what they offered online. I told them that was BS and very misleading to pull a switch-up like that and asked to speak with the GM who agreed it was their fault and they'll honor the original amount. If this transaction had ended here, I would have been happy despite the mix-up but happy that Best Buy honored its word. INSTEAD, this is what happened: because Best Buy canceled the Upgrade Order that was already processed, my line already showed that there was a "Pending Upgrade" transaction and I am unable to submit another trade-in despite that Transaction/order already being canceled. Best Buy's response: "Oh just give the system a few days and it will update. You'll be fine." That was on Nov-26. Today is Jan-11 - 46 days after the fact and still no change. I've since spent 40+ hours on the phone with Best Buy and TMobile CR reps to resolve this issue. Best Buy has offered 0 help. They've stated on MULTIPLE CALLS that it's not their problem or issue since our system shows your order is canceled, but TMobile states that their system still shows the original upgrade as "pending" and never got an update from Best Buy that this has been canceled. In Summary: 1. Best Buy tried to lower the value of trade-in based on questions not asked on the website and lower trade-in value by 75% 2. After acknowledging they F**ked up, my phone line has been "locked" because it still shows as a "pending upgrade" which Best Buy claims is not their issue - despite the fact that THEY WERE THE ONES THAT CAUSED THIS MESS 3. My line is now not eligible for an upgrade due to a Best Buy system hold that shows my line as already upgrade pending 3. As of today (47 days after the date of the incident), and over 40+ hours of calls with Best Buy and TMobile customer service reps, no change has been made and Best Buy still is unwilling to help claiming its not their issue. So in summary, F**K Best Buy. F their whole family. F their baby mama. F their affiliates, and F you if you like them.

Horrible customer service and very lazy employees. Do not give this place your money. They will inevitably waste your time.

Usually Best Buy is very pedantic, but the manager and employees were super helpful for my pickup order.

One is on 3240 W Lawerence Ave Ave which is where I've bought 95% of the appliances I've bought from L & L over the years. The second store was @ 4250 W Montrose (this is basically a storage yard) and the third one that I went to today for the first time is @ 2553 W North Ave. they are nothing fancy just inexpensive functional appliances. L & L Appliances has a large assortment of different used appliances for personal & commercial use. I use to own 3 buildings so I needed to buy used appliances like refrigerators & stoves for the tenants & an occasional coin operated washer & dryer for a fraction of buying something brand new. They are a second hand refurbished appliance stores. I have an upright freezer in the basement of my house that isn't working properly so I called L & L Appliances to see if they might have something to fit my needs wo/having to buy a brand new freezer. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, just functional to fit within given dimensions in an alcove in my basement. I called one of my contacts at L & L only to be refered to another person. I texted information to my new contact on what I was looking for and the search began. I touched base about once a week just to let him know I was still looking. Well persistence pays off as there are other people that were also looking for a utilitarian freezer, nothing fancy just functional to fit the designed space. I received a photo of the freezer that was available. It is a little smaller both in height & depth then the one I have now but we can live with it. I looked at it today at the North Ave location bought is and have delivery set up for tomorrow afternoon. L & L Appliances has 3 stores, but all 3 are currently closed due to Covid (no walk ins wo/an appointment. 2 out of 3 of my contacts are either deceased or retired. I set up a time w/Chuck the last of the Mohicans to meet him and see the freezer in question. I have dealt w/them for years. Sure they're not brand new and for my purposes they didn't have to be top of the line manufacturers, but I fear they're a dying breed as Father Time is catching up w/the owners of L & L. I have literally saved thousands of dollars over the years buying used appliances from L & L and will continue ur to as long as the need arises or until they close up shop. Thanks L & L for many years of good reliable appliances at a fraction of the cost of brand new ones.

Located at the end of one of the hallways in the lower level of the old post office, this place is totally magic and will convince you that you need two or three ovens in your kitchen and a gigantic refrigerator that matches the wall decor! Full disclosure, we were going here to drool at the ovens more than anything, however we came out with a good understanding of why the brand does what they do, and many of the things they offer. We learn that everything is a standard size, 24 or 30 inches across, so that you can interchange many of the items. It makes sense, was just something we never heard before. The breath of offerings they have is pretty incredible and the gal who helped us kama Sara, was very knowledgeable. A lot of the stuff does the selling by itself, but she definitely knew the high points to hit and was super low key about it. It was nice to feel like she was just telling us about it rather than selling it to us. The full kitchen and full bar set ups were quite impressive, and apparently they have monthly cooking demonstrations where someone will actually make you food on the item you are looking to purchase. Pretty sweet deal in our opinions. The most impressive thing we saw was the steam convection oven, which reports to be able to cook phyllo dough wrapped ice cream without melting the ice cream. If we'd actually seen that in person I may have just bought it there and tried to install it in my car. The informational stuff that they have available was very good for planning purposes and the set up here is very conducive to actually seeing what things look like in a variety of different kitchen layouts. Great store to browse, especially when the kids are at home with Grandma!

Signed us up for the cooking demo online which fills up fast. We actually lucked out that someone canceled. There were a lot of people there of which most seemed to be designers than actual homeowners. The demo was very impressive and we learned a lot about their appliances. Full meal provided including, pizza, scallops, steak, veggies, desert which was all complimentary. Upon leaving we were given a very nice cutting board and folder including the appliances we are interested in. We are better informed upon visiting their demo.
