It never occurred to me to buy kitchen appliances at Best Buy. However their pricing was great, and delivery was pretty quickly scheduled so I figured I'd give it a try. If I could give this zero starts I would. I had the most horrific customer service experience yesterday. But reading through some of the other reviews and seeing that the review section on Facebook and the feedback section on their website has been removed I should have known better. But I'm gonna write this review anyway in hopes someone at corporate actually cares. I ordered a washer dryer online, I paid for installation and haul away services. In addition to any products needed for the installation. My delivery was scheduled for yesterday. When the team arrived they had no notations that they were to install the appliances. Not only that, they were a delivery team, and didn't know how to. They called their manager who seemed to care very little. She helped walk them through installing it by watching YouTube video. YES, that is what I paid for. They didn't have the proper pieces to install it and once again the manager had no answers or solutions, nor did she seem to care. I called customer service. I waited 25 minutes for a call back. When I finally got someone on the phone I got this awful woman named REGINA from CUSTOMER SERVICE. She told me there was nothing she could do, she said that installing the washer dryer was not included in the installation service. Yes, I said that right, installation was not a part of the installation service. She was unwilling to to help. She told me to "open my ears" when I didn't accept that there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak to her manager or supervisor. She said she could try and find him. I spent the next 30 minutes (over an hour on the phone total) "looking" for her manager. When she returned to the phone she told me that the manager says there's nothing they can do. She refused to let me speak to the manager and refused to give me his name. She said to me in a rude tone "well, what do you want". I told her I want this resolved! I want the services I paid for. She gave me more of an attitude and put me on hold again. She came back and told me that when the order was complete I had to call customer service. I said, aren't YOU customer service? she said yes but she couldn't do anything. When I asked to speak to someone who could she said they couldn't help me either. I said well I paid for the appliances and they are here delivering them, so what constitutes completion of an order? She didn't bother to answer my question. Finally she rudely put me on hold again and came back to tell me they could refund me $100. I laughed. No apology for her behavior, no damage control from her supervisor. I told her no thanks and I hung up. I called back and got a very nice man from customer service on the phone who apologized for their behavior and explained why i had to wait for the order to process to get resolution. DJ, Jimmy and Jesus from the Connecticut delivery team were wonderful They did everything they could to help. They also felt completely unsupported by their company. And once again REGINA from CUSTOMER SERVICE. REGINA from CUSTOMER SERVICE. REGINA from CUSTOMER SERVICE. Something needs to be done about this awful woman. She doesn't belong in customer service. Where do I start. I bought a tv last Friday and wanted best buy to deliver to my home. They promised me it would be safe and bubblewrappd extremely well well that didn't happen. Some random third party company delivered the tv and as they took It out of the box dropped it and shattered the glass. We went to the store to see where they wouldn't give us another tv unless we spent more money and wouldn't let us return the tv until it was back at the warehouse. The store manager was very rude and not helpful. Finally 12 hours of fighting with them we got our money back and went to target where they helped us very well. I really like the way the store is set up to look for a product and there is always someone to help you to set you in the right direction of the person who can help me in that department. They also give you space to look at products and also ask if you need help. If you cant find a product they are willing to look it up for you to find it. I also like that it has an outside entrance to enter and exit instead of just inside mall. And there is a recycling area for batteries, etc. And they also have a bathroom. read more

This best buy is located in the poughkeepsie mall. I usually do not go to malls but i was with my friends and they wanted to go shopping.They are remodeling the front of this store alot of roped off areas out front.once inside the store we were greeted by a middle aged employee who asked how we were doing today, And if we needed help. My friend knew what he wanted. After we were looking for the section where the memory cards were located and could not find them. Another sales associate asked us if we needed help. The staff was very nice in the store. The store was clean and no long lines. Best buy has there own entrance and parking area and is connected to the mall on the inside. Poor customer service by Amber an associate in the phone section. She refused to transfer the contacts and pictures from the old phone to the new one. She had an attitude the entire time. Once the purchase of the new phone was done, she didi not give me the receipt or the paperwork in my hands. She just placed them on the table and proceeded to walk away. I purchased a color laser printer with the GeekSquad protection plan and was expected to receive my full order today. The order was delayed 1 month and the protection plan kicks in tomorrow. When I called to extend the plan the representative said to call back in March. When I said I should not have to call back and I did not understand why I had to pay a protection fee for a product I do not yet have he repeated himself to "call back in March". BUYER BEWARE - We needed a new refrigerator and so we went last month and bought a beauty. Pretty easy purchase and delivery would be quick. The-- the next day and brought another. I should have been more vocal about it and I was not - I was uncomfortable and sexually harassed in my own house. I told Best Buy about it - Oh yes I did and the delivery company never responded to them. I let it go, because really... We decided to give them another chance and order our new gas stove and microwave (convection) from them. We went in this past Thursday and had a flawless experience with our salesman (oh he was still waiting to hear from delivery company). They promised for Monday delivery. Was just in here the other day to find something that I needed so I could get my Lyft business "started" here in the Hudson Valley. I knew I felt I needed an air vent mount for my iPhone, and in I charged for one (since I was near this when I discovered that I needed one desperately in fear that that was the reason why my tips ratio was so low). When walking in, I first encountered an older guy who I asked. I mentioned "Where are your air vent mounts for cellphones". He didn't know what I was talking about at first, but when he heard that it's something for cellphones, he was like "seems like it should be in the cellphone section." I'm not in here very often and so if I have to ask "where is this section you are talking about, please describe to me approximately where it is?" We started off on the wrong foot. A few minutes later, I thought, okay "maybe if I go up and down a row, some other employee will help me with my purchase". But when I encountered no other employee to help me find what I was looking for, I ended up doing my own search for the stuff I needed. If you had walked me through to get me to where I needed to be, we could have talked about other things, and you could have tried to upsell on me (I hate when employees upsell on customers, but this was just so "needed" to say here, that I had to say it could have helped to a certain extent.) I found it after going up and down some aisles in the center core of stuff. You had so many choices, and finding that right one that wasn't so "brands you and I know wouldn't hold together for long" or "so pricey no one would be able to afford", when I found an air vent mount clip by Logitech, I was astounded. When I saw the price, I fell in love (although it really wasn't quite what I wanted in exact design for my slightly aging iPhone 6). It's price wasn't marked very well, and it seemed like it was the last one on the shelf, it was time to get it. I had money to buy it, so up to the register I went. When I got to the register area, there were only a few registers open but everybody was busy and so I had to wait - and wait - and wait some more. I became impatient, but I knew it was all for the better because I had done some research on the product and saw what else was out there before I even entered (although it didn't look it when I came in). I was greeted by an employee who asked for my telephone number before she started to ring me up (and that's a good thing because I didn't happen to have a copy of my card with me, even though I had my keys but my keychain card keeps rubbing off without use) , and had a BestBuy Rewards account and wanted to grab points in the meantime. Tension stopped as soon as my information became verified (having not been in a BestBuy in quite a long time). The employee rang me up, I paid with my debit card; the employee bagged my stuff and out the door I went with my purchase. Ordered a new Samsung 10 from Best Buy on line on Black Friday. It was automatically added to my Verizon account and activated. The phone was a Christmas present and wasn't opened of course until Christmas. Went to Best Buy to trade the phone in two day after Christmas for an Iphone instead and they would not trade it because they have a 14 day return policy. We went to Best Buy in Poughkeepsie looking for a large screen 43" TV. We also needed a blue ray DVD player. We did buy the TV, DVD player and an HDMI cable. I got home and realized that we needed 2 cables, not one. So I checked Ebay and found that I could get 2 HDMI cables (the exact same brand: Rocketfish) for about $5 each (free shipping) when we paid $29.99 for just one cable. Then I looked up the LG DVD player only to find that instead of paying $69.99 ~I could get that for half the price I had paid at Best Buy with an HDMI cable included !!!!! So instead of paying over $100, we took back the player and cable and ordered what we needed from Ebay. Everything we ordered was brand new and a whole lot less. To me, the markup of just the HDMI cable was outrageous. We won't be returning to Best Buy in a hurrry: that is for sure! read more

I went in to purchase the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit. I wanted to price match it with Amazon & I had 2 Best Buy issued coupons I wanted to use. I went to the main checkout aisle & had to wait 10 minutes to get to the counter because of the line. While I was waiting, I counted 4 Best Buy employees walk past me playing on their cell phones, not one decided to open another checkout lane. Once I got up to the register, I was told they don't do price matches there (I've been getting price matches there for 2+ years & the Assistant Manager corroborated this claim) & had to go to customer service. I go to customer service & had to wait ANOTHER 10+ minutes. Once I get to the CS clerk & try to explain what I want: a price match + 2 Best Buy coupons*. She tells me to stop telling her & that she would do it. I only repeated myself because it doesn't take much to overwhelm Best Buy employees. After all was said & done, I see that she didn't price match the item to Amazon, all she did was apply the coupons. I tried to explain the price match & she claimed I couldn't get the price match with coupons. So I went to get the manager, Associated Manager Ryan, was on duty. He looked at the CS clerk's computer screen & agreed with her claim that price matches couldn't be added to coupons. Ryan claimed, "Best Buy can't sell the item below unit price & it was impossible for him to do what I was asking." ??????? I looked in stunned disbelief. I tried telling him I've had this EXACT same thing done at the Albany Best Buy, but he just iterated the aforementioned nonsense. I walked away at this point. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME . Horrible Customer Service. I asked at least 2 different Customer Service Representative (CSR) that I could return apple product (keyboards and Mouse) in SRHINKED WRAP without receipt. So I did it and the CSR gave me a gift card. Few days later, I found out the gift card is invalidated by CSR manager called George as Fraudulent, What an evil tactics. I called 1-888-BEST-BUY tried to recover it, of course, corporate called up George and got his side of story. I'm losing $270. This Alcatel phone was a total waste of money April 25, 2017 This Phone Sux The battery is terrible/must be charged twice per day and if I listen to music or do something that takes some battery (not for long) the battery goes down quickly. You cannot change the battery so when this one dies I just lost $150. I called Alcatel and they basically said too bad! I'm going on Yelp next to make sure no one else gets tricked and taken with this phone. If you need everything to tech to appliances this is the store for you. They have almost every phone, tablet, computers, tvs, cases and more tech stuff than you can ever need. They also have music and fit stuff along with games. Also they have all the technology on tables so you can try them out. Their setup area for each electronic company's product is cool. Also they have a geek squad area that can help you with your electronic needs and you can create appointments to get devices repaired. Also most of their products cost slightly less than from the actual product's site. Also their staff is really helpful and knowledgable. One annoying thing about this place is if you want to pick a product up to see how heavy it is or how it looks the alarm will go off. We bought a TV as a surprise for the Super Bowl and it was broken out of the box. Since we were in Queens, we took it to another store to replace it and they refused. When we went back to this Poughkeepsie store, the Manager Chris was incredibly helpful and efficient. After discussing the situation and showing the paperwork he was apologetic and immediately took care of us with a delivery. All the employees we came across were the best. Ashley, Al and Chris, their help and customer service were great. I'm looking to buy some electronics in the summer and I won't hesitate coming back. Definitely a two star rating for this store. Besides the fact that they have construction going on in front of the store and it's a maze to get into the store, one department knows nothing about the other department. I called and spoke to someone in the appliance department yesterday and told him that I wanted to buy appliances ( a refrigerator, a stove, a microwave and a dishwasher). I informed him that the apartment is currently under construction and will not be ready for the appliances for another week or so but I don't want to miss out on the sale prices I found online. He informed me that I could come in and put down a deposit down or purchase the items and have it delivered when I was ready to receive them. I then go to customer service and the girl at that desk appeared as if I was disturbing her. After her half hearted greeting she told me she didn't know what I was talking about either and that I should go to the appliance section to speak with someone there. There were two gentlemen handling one customer but when one of them walked away from that situation I asked if he would be able to help me. He was very helpful however he did not work in appliances so I told him I'd just wait for the person that works in appliances. Another gentleman came over but he was also assisting a customer but took the time to greet me and told me he'd be with me but after waiting for about 20 minutes I decided to take my business elsewhere. I don't mind waiting and that wasn't the issue but it would have been great if the two people I approached in the beginning would have asked someone in appliances or a manager instead of telling me they didn't know what I was talking about or telling me "we don't do that" without first checking with someone who actually knows. Worst Best Buy location I've been to. Went there for a laptop and I knew the exact model I wanted but had to wait 30 minutes for someone to bring it to me. Employees are very slow. Would not recommend this location if you don't know what you need. read more
