Horrible customer service! With the exception of one young guy, EVERY SINGLE PERSON I dealt with was rude, condescending and useless!! They seem to forget that they sell these phones all day long and they should be familiar with the product. I buy a new phone every few years and so yes, I would like some answers and some assistance. There was one male in there who was particularly rude and condescending. Get it together! You are not the only cell phone company. After attempting to get service from the Verizon Store in Fishkill and with no success I went to the store in Pougkeepsie. Steven was absolutely fabulous, professional and efficient. He took note of my requirements for an iPhone and gave me my options. After choosing my iPhone Steven proceeded to help me download all my apps and transferred all the functions to my new purchase. Long story short they are uneducated. I went in to buy an Apple Watch . No one helped me when I walked in . After 15 mins of stand by the Apple watches I walk to the counter and I guy asks what I want help with today then continued to go find another employee who asked me the same thing . After 3 employees... someone was ready to sell me my Apple Watch. The people seem really uneducated. I had to call Verizon twice while in store to have them explain to the employee the process to switch a device over. After 30 mins of just standing around and then on phone was I able to walk out with the watch . Now the best part. I got home. The person who sold me the watch never register it, never canceled my other devices line like he told me I was doing ... then completely ignored my other requests. The store was no help, and neither was the toll-free number. I've been a Verizon Wireless customer for 28 years and have had no issues up until now. I have a business plan with 6 lines and pay $49 per month for Total Device Protection which advertises same-day delivery on a replacement device (new or refurbished). My Google Pixel 8 screen was bad so the store had me call Verizon as they couldn't do anything. After 30+ minutes in a chat, they send me a replacement. I got it 2 days later (not the same day or the next day) and it's the wrong model Google Pixel (128GB and not 256GB which is what I have). Onto Chat #2 and after 45 minutes they are sending me another phone overnight they claim. 3 days later and no phone still so now I call and start a chat #3. Over 45 minutes they tell me they don't have a Google Pixel 8 256GB phone in stock and if I want a different phone. Fast forward a few minutes and now they have one in stock! I'm guessing they had no refurbished models in stock and are sending me a new phone which they desperately tried to avoid it seems. A day later and no phone still. They overnighted it via UPS but there is a delay on UPS. Total Device Protection is a SHAM. Now thinking of switching to another carrier after 28 years. The store replied on my Google review and had me fill out a form. 6 days later and no response from anyone at Verizon. read more

No stars here. Do your own research on how to back up your information before putting your it and memories in their hands. I went in to exchange my phone because of a recall and they "backed up" my information to the cloud and told me I could complete the transfer at home after refusing to use the cable to link the phones for transfer. What they didn't tell me is that you only have 5gigs of cloud storage available so only 5gig transferred. Needless to say I lost an entire month of pictures and who knows what else is missing. They also wiped my old phone before I left so there's no going back. The "Experience Specialist" is special alright...... But not in a good way. It's worth the time and effort to go anywhere else but here to do just about anything when it comes to customer service. read more

Shitty customer service. Just went to exchange the note7 for the non exploding one... durring data transfer they deleted half of my pictures and blamed me for not backing them up. They didnt even ask me before doing it. Then they wiped the old one before making sure everything was there. Be careful of these "experts" they dont know what they are doing and are more interested in getting you out of the store for what they consider a nuisance than doing the job right. read more

Staff was so incredibly rude, disrespectful and unhelpful. I went to return a charger that I bought in this store that broke under warranty. It was a 6 foot charger. I was told "we don't sell that here. If we sold a 6 foot charger I'd have it." I got home and called Verizon. They looked up my order and sent a replacement. A 6 foot charger! read more

I want to commend Matt B. for helping me attach the InvisibleShields (front and back) to my phone when nobody else in the Verizon store would. The five employees behind the front desk preferred talking among themselves to helping a customer. One employee, in fact, even proclaimed that it was not their job to attach InvisibleShields. The reason people come to brick and mortar stores is that they like customer service. Verizon, South Road, Poughkeepsie, is wasting its money if it is not going to provide outstanding customer service. Yesterday, I purchased an IPhone SE. Tom is the person that took care of me. I asked him how much the phone cost and he told me $399 and that it would be $17 a month for 24 months. He asked me how much storage I had on my phone. I wasn't sure, so he checked it and told me that I had 128. He asked me if I wanted to keep it that way and I said that I did. My husband was with me and we also purchased a screen protector for his phone ($44.99), a screen protector for my new SE phone ($26.97), and a power adapter for my new phone ($17.97). He also told me that I would be paying for an upgrade fee of $40, plus taxes today. My total came to $177.05. I didn't get a receipt when I left the store. I didn't see a receipt until I got home and activated my phone and got an email with the receipt. To my surprise, my phone cost $449.99, $50 more than I was quoted, so my monthly payments would now be $18.97 a month for 24 months instead of $17, like I was quoted! My husband heard the same as I did, that the phone cost $399. I went back to the store today and spoke with Tom. When I told him that he told me that the phone cost $399 and that it would be $17 a month for 24 months and he said that he told me that it would be $449.99, but he might have told me quickly and maybe I didn't hear him. He said that was the price of the 128 storage. The price of the 64 storage is $399. He NEVER told me that! My husband heard the same that I heard! If he quoted me the higher price, then he would've quoted me the higher price ot $18.97, that I would have to pay per month, but he quoted me the lesser amount of $17. I asked to speak to a manager and an African American woman (sorry, I didn't get her name) came outside to speak to me. She kept telling me the same thing. That the price for 128 storage is $449.99 and the price for 64 storage is $399.99 and that Tom probably told me that, but there was miscommunication. I kept telling her the same thing, that neither me nor my husband heard him say that. She wasn't willing to do anything for me. I even offered to have her give me a store card for $50 to buy other accessories, but she said she couldn't do anything for me and kept saying she was sorry for the miscommunication. I have been a faithful customer for about 30 years. I've bought all of my phones through Verizon and have had my plan with 3 people on it through Verizon also. I'm telling you this to show that I'm not someone that complains often, but I'm VERY upset about this. The service at every level was not to my expectations. At this point, I'm not sure if I'm going to stay with Verizon. If I change, then my whole family will go to a competitor with me. This location continues to have reps giving out wrong information about deals. You only find out after you've left the store and get your first bill. Typical Verizon business as usual. Just upgraded to a galaxy 6. I was in the store 3 times and was very thorough. Yes it was crowded,but when it was my turn they did not rush me. I also was given an appointment for a scheduled time on my third visit. Vivi was the very patient and kind employee that did most of the work. I was handed off to a very savvy Dawn for the set up. Their were a total of 6 workers in the store with a list of 8 people in need of help I waited for 30 min only for the workers to get through one person. I was confronted by the worker when I was upset about the lack of apparent work in store and the time it takes to get through customers and i was told I was being hostile and creating a hostile environment in the store. The list they have on the screen is a poor excuse for a que where only the people who don't sign in and just start asking for help actually get helped. I watched many customers come in to say they wanted to get a new phone and somehow got bumped to the front of the list so quick they didn't even have to be on it. And then customers who are just planning on using Verizon services such as a local expert on questions about your phone or even bill discrepancies get tossed in the infamous list only to be forgotten as we are the people verizon emploies will not make money on. Over all a horrible experience so bad that I never write yelp review and i had to come on yelp and warn every one avoid at all cost!!!!! if you have to drive an extra 20 or 30 min to get to the next store please do you will be very unsatisfied if you come here. Horrible service, horrible customer care, and horrible organization. Just an all around bad store. It unfortunate they had to take down the awful friendlies only to put this even worse representation of a business in its place. I recently just switched my service to Verizon. I needed help transferring my photos onto my new phone so I went to this location. The blonde female who helped me was just so plain arrogant and RUDE. She comes over to ask me what I was there for. I started explaining why and that's when she cut me off and said she just needed to log me in and that she wasn't the one who was going to help me. Her tone basically said that she didn't care why I was there. Then she rudely handed me the instructions to download Verizon cloud. I started reading the front page and she again rudely turned the page around and said "actually, its on the back". I understand that they can't transfer pictures in the store. It was her approach, how she spoke and treated me. I am NOT an idiot. Do not talk to me like I'm one. I hope the DM and the SM read this review because she needs to learn how to treat people. I love Verizon service but not the people that work in that location. I honestly would like to hear back from Management. If I don't, then I honestly know where they stand with customer service. read more
