I used these guys a few years ago - I'm about an hour from them to come do some work on my property. The asked me to buy a bunch of expensive equipment ($400!) for them to install and come set up a wireless network between 2 buildings. They came for 2 days and gave me a bill for $1500, but in the end they couldn't make it work! I do understand that they did travel to me and did spend time here, but you shouldn't take jobs that you can't do! After talking to them, the "best" they could do was split the cost with me, but I still had to buy the equipment! I will NOT be calling on these guys again. read more

Company advertises a 9 to 5 work day. No answer to the phone X3 times and no one in the store when I drove there. Doors locked, no sign on the door. Still it advertises a 9 to 5 time. I would think that customer service would be important, but not for these folks. Find someplace else read more

Have no idea what the disparaging remarks are about. I found them funny. New Paltz Rescue uses Perfect for computer repairs and help. I use Perfect for computers and help. Aaron, Patrick Dana and Kathy have been super - quick response, efficient repairs, decent burial of beloved printers and computers and fair prices. I wonder if those unsatisfied got sucked through a wormhole and are now living in a dysfunctional parallel universe. read more

I can't speak highly enough about these guys. I brought my laptop in because it wasn't charging. They found that the problem was just my power cord and didn't charge me anything for their time. Both people I spoke to were incredibly friendly and I could tell they had a real passion for technology. This is what small local business is all about. read more

I would give it no stars if I could. After keeping my computer for a month and not contacting me to keep me updated about their progress, or in this case...lack of progress, I am still responsible for a diagnostic fee. I only heard from them when I called , and their promises to call me back never occurred. They always had a handy excuse, as to why they couldn't get it up and running ...( a problem with the software , not the hardware). I really think they were too busy to address the problem when they realized they were not going to make enough money from the deal. With reviews like this one and the other 3....you would have to have your head examined to use them!!! read more

I had to wait a few days but they repaired more than what I asked for. They also had good phone support after the repair at no cost.

My first language is Spanish. I came to this place asking for help with my computer, they were so nice with me and tried their best to understand my "English" they fixed my computer as I asked them. They gave me 30 days warranty. My computer is working great! They tell you how much will cost..then you can say no or yes before they work on it. My computer crashed one day and i couldn't get any visual output on my screen. I called my computer company (ASUS) but since my laptop was out of warranty and they didn't know the full issue, they offered me 500$ to replace my entire operating system. I decided to go to Perfect Computer Solutions to hopefully fix what looked like a motherboard crash. This isn't the hardest thing to fix so i was optimistic hoping I would have my laptop running by the following week. However, this was not the case. 6 WEEKS went by and they only called me once or twice in that whole period. I had to call them twice a week just to find out what was going on with my computer and every time there would be some issue ordering parts or the one that came in broke upon instillation. Finally i decided to just take my computer back and try somewhere else but when I came in Ed pretty much told me it wasn't worth fixing and that he cracked my screen while working on repairs. They didn't charge me because of the 6 WEEKS I was waiting for, well I don't even know what i was waiting for, but anyways i checked to see what they did and my computer was in 3 times worse condition than when i sent it in. So now i was left with a worthless computer, but they did offer me a measly 100$ towards a new one if i decided to go back and trade in my now completely ruined one. With no other options I had to take the deal and buy a much cheaper decent computer which is not nearly as nice as my old one used to be. I tried to explain my issues to Aaron, the boss, but he said that they had lost too much money trying to fix my computer and that was the best deal they could give me unless i wanted them to continue to fix my computer. He insisted that he could easily get it up and running again, but he never even looked at the thing once, in fact he was never at the shop for the most part. Also, if he could fix it then how come it wasn't fixed in the 6 weeks they had. Ed essentially destroyed my really nice computer not knowing what he was doing and Aaron wouldn't do much about it because he "lost too much money in the process." If they couldn't handle the COMMON repair job i don't know why they wouldn't tell me within the first week or two. I totally wasted my time and a lot of money dealing with these guys and as a costumer even if they lost a lot of money trying and failing to make repairs its your fault in the end and you have to come to me and own up to it. I wish just sent my computer into ASUS because i had to spending even more than 500 for a new computer, i cant get my work done with a piece of crap laptop. Luckily for them there isn't another place in New Paltz so i would suggest taking a drive over to Kingston or Poughkeepsie. These guys are not worth the trouble! read more
