Best Buy has the worst customer service. I bought a TV from Best Buy and was going to exchange for another model. I then found out that they were charging $99.99 for the pick up of the old TV I told them that it was unacceptable. Best Buy, electronics is what draws people here. They do offer a bit of candy, soda and a few other random items. This location is conveniently located off of rt. 1 and is surrounded by a delicious pizza / Italian restaurant as well as Whole Foods and IHOP...a few other stores as well. A very nice young man answered some questions that I had about Fit Bit. In the end, I did not purchase one, but I am better informed than when I walked in the store. I'm going to consider purchasing at a later date. I didn't leave empty handed. I did purchase an "echo." I have been considering purchasing this fora little while. I want to utilize it at work. I would have given this location four or four and a half stars, but the inside of the store is a bit boring and not set up like most other Best Buy stores that I've visited. This Best Buy is average. Not the worst I've been to and nowhere near the best. The store itself is quite small for a Best Buy, and it is made to look even smaller by the fact that it is divided into two small floors. The downstairs area has phones, TVs and audio, while the upstairs has appliances, cameras, video games and CDs/DVDs. I was able to find MANY open box items upstairs, up to 50% off of the sticker price - so if you don't mind returned items, this could be a place to find a bunch. The service was not good at all. When I found the one employee upstairs, I walked up to him as he was using his phone. This wasn't a big deal, but when I asked him for help, he slowly looked up from his phone as if I asked him to move a fridge downstairs alone with no help. He was able to answer my question, but he clearly had no interest in doing so. The product selection was not great, and when I went to check out, the item I was purchasing was not discounted at the register (it was $30 on Bestbuy.com, but $50 in store). The employee said he had to override it, and it seemed like a hassle, but ultimately he was able to do so. Be wary of prices, they have to price match Bestbuy.com, and it should be updated in their system, but it wasn't. All in all, I would recommend driving an extra 10 minutes to the Dadeland Best Buy. read more

Ordered several computer parts online to build my own personal computer as I didn't want to order from amazon or ebay and have them damaged during shipment and/or get refurbished parts. I chose to pickup in store, well it turns out that some items they had available in store, yet others were shipped to the store. The issue with that was if I didn't pickup the items they had in the store within 5 days the order would be cancelled, keep in mind that some of the items I ordered take over a week to be delivered to the store. Called customer service and tried to arrange for me to pick up the order once all the items had arrived (save myself from going to the store 2 or 3 times) however they were unable to help. They said I had to pick up the items available and then go back and get the other ones as they arrive.. Don't think I will be shopping with them again. read more

After my debacle with HHGregg nextdoor I went into the Pinecrest Best Buy with one thing in mind, buy my mom a 32" LED TV, simple huh. As I walked into there TV department I was met by an attractive young woman, who could be Best Buy's poster girl. She was motivated, bubbly and appeared genuinely personable. In all it took 3 to 5 minutes for her to show me a name brand (Sony) TV, that was affordable and perfect for my use., another 3 to 5 minutes to actually purchase the product, and 1 minute for her to get me a cart and watch me roll it out the door. I had to come to this BestBuy because it was the closest one with the item I was looking to buy. I was not disappointed. The store is a little small for your average size best buy store and dark due to its recessed entrance but the parking lot is spacious and it has plenty of parking spaces. I purchased a flat screen tv for my bedroom from Best Buy yesterday. The customer service I received was definitely 5 star worthy. The problem came when I got home to assemble it, plug it in and the screen was cracked. Unfortunately, it was too late bring it back, so I had to wait until the morning to exchange it. First thing in the morning, I arrived at my neighborhood Best Buy to make the exchange. (Not the original store I made the purchase) I arrived with receipt and all original packing in hand and was informed that I would have to drive back to the store I originally purchased it from. Now this is where Best Buy went from 5 stars to 2!!! Their reason, so the store could get credit for the damage property, since there was physical damage. I read there return policy at the desk, NOPE nothing there. I have to speak with the manager. After a short wait, she arrived and repeated this absurd policy. We spent a couple of minutes dialoguing about why I should not have to be inconvenienced to spend extra time and gas to drive to a location, due to a situation I did not cause. Fortunately, she agreed to call the manager of store where I purchased the tv. After another 10-15 minute wait, it was decided to do the "simple" one for one exchange. So what started out as a quick one for one exchange took about 45 minutes. But in life, the end result is what really matters. No one I came into contact with was nasty or unprofessional. After spending hundreds of dollars in the store, Best Buy customer service isn't that great unless you purchase warranty for your products. I'm a couple days out of my store warranty and after a salesperson at the store suggest to buy a specific modem, now Xfinity says I need a docsis 3.1 to upgrade. Unfortunately Best Buy will not take back the product for me to upgrade even though I will be spending more money. Only because the modem is open box and not brand you. Next time you buy something from Best Buy make sure to understand what you were buying Especially if one of their sales person is suggesting the product. read more

When I first started coming in here I found the size and setup annoying. But since it is on the east side of US-1 I kept coming here because of how easy it is. That's when I noticed that the people are very nice, and friendly. Still the store is smaller and has a much smaller selection all around. The setup with the second floor is rather annoying, never enough people on the second floor to help out. Hitting up the Geek Squad or grabbing a new release, this is the store I go to. read more

Guys NEVER send any of your devices to get repaired at Best Buy's Geek Squad or buy anything from Best Buy. I took my laptop to get repaired at the end of Aug to Geek Squad since I bought my laptop at Best Buy. Geek Squad said had to send out my laptop at their repair facility in Kentucky and they told me that this will take only 3-4 weeks to be repaired and sent back to my house. After the laptop arrives there I got a few updates, the last one being that they were waiting on a part to come in to then go and repair it. After a MONTH of it being there and no updates I started to get concerned and kept calling Geek Squad , they kept saying they don't know any updates bc the repair facility hasn't been updating my laptops repair progress and that they can't get in contact with them. I kept calling for weeks and I keep getting transferred everywhere but where I was supposed to get transferred to, I couldn't even get a hold of any manager for some reason. Fast forward to this Friday (it's been 2 months at this point) I finally get an update saying that my laptop is being shipped back to me. I was supposed to receive my laptop today so I went outside checking and sure enough it wasn't there. I called the Best Buy that I took it to (Pinecrest location) no answer. Finally someone calls me back saying "Hi we received your laptop, you can come pick it up, btw its still broken" I'm like wtf I have been waiting 2 months for this, no updates from the repair center or the store and it was supposed to be delivered to my house. They said that they can't do anything about it, not even give me the same laptop new at a discounted price. I complained and the guy on the phone (Alejandro at the Pinecrest location) said that he can send it back but that they may take another 2 months or more and was being incredibly rude on the phone saying that nothing is 'his fault" and there is nothing he can do. I asked to speak to a manager and he never let me speak to one, he had me on hold the whole time while he "spoke to his manager" about what they can do (which ended up being nothing lol) TL;DR : Fuck Best Buy and their shitty Geek Squad & customer service. read more

Geek squad doesn't repair TVs over a certain size and they tried to tell us a $200/year protection plan that gives you 20% off repairs! That makes no sense! The same thing happened when my phone got dropped in the marina and lost to the rocks. Years of loyalty and paying for a protection plan. Zero coverage for the damage/lost phone. Out of all the Best Buys I've been to I definitely think this one is the best! The employees are always super friendly and I love how they are casual and preofessional with you at the same time. I've always gotten great advice and help from them. They're the type of employees that will be honest and upfront with you. They'll let you know if a certain model isn't worth it and what trouble you can expect from it and they'll also tell you what items are a good deal. This store is huge. It's 2 floors and always has what I need. My friend is a huge film buff and even the oddest of movies he's always been able to find here. This is a store I definitely recommend shopping at. I would have given this location five stars, except for the fact it feels like a kiosk. It is two stories and doesn't have as many products as the Best Buy 2 miles down the road at Dadeland Station. The employees were extremely helpful and offered to find items not available in the store at other locations. I would definitely come here again for my electronic needs. I wanted to share an experience that I had at one of your stores located at 11905 S Dixie Hwy in Miami, FL 33156 (Pinecrest) today. It was a very unpleasant experience. My wife and I both work in leadership positions for a Fortune 100 Company. I am aware that Best Buy is a Fortune 50 company and I am confident your company values the customer experience as much as ours which is why I feel compelled to share my experience. I was in the market for a car alarm for a new truck i just purchased. There was never a doubt that I would use Best Buy. I made an appointment at the Best Buy to have the alarm installed. In my discussion with the installer, I found him to be professional, knowledgeable, friendly. This interaction solidified my decision to choose the Pinecrest store. As my appointment day approached having been scheduled for tomorrow. 1-6--12, I found I had a few more questions concerning the affect the new alarm would have on my warranty. I decided on my way home from work today that I would stop in the store. This particular Best Buy is located in a strip mall. I drove around back of the store to the service area to talk to the tech. It was approximately 4pm. There were no doors open. I drove back to the front of the store. When I entered the front door I inquired of the girl at the customer service desk as to the possibility of me meeting with the installer. She informed me that i needed to speak to the LP guy at the front. I approched three gentlemen who were standing in the front, two in Best Buy attire and one in street clothes. Addressing the two gentlemen in Best Buy attire, I asked about speaking to the installer. I was advised that I needed to ride back around the building and talked to him there. I told them I had already been back there and that the door was closed and could I meet him in the store because I still had to purchase the product. I was again told that that I would have to ride around back, knock on the garage door to speak with the installer and that i could then come back around to the front of the store to then purchase the product. I found this to be a little inconvenient and, once again, asked as to whether the installer could come out to the front to speak with me. I was told this was not possible. At this point I expressed my dissatisfaction by stating that "this is ridiculous." It was at this point that the gentleman in street clothes that had been standing there came into the conversation. Apparently not having been completely attentive to the conversation as he asked me what i thought was "ridiculous". Not really realizing at the time that this was a Best Buy employee, given he was in street clothes, I naturally asked him who he was. His response to me was that "that is not your concern". He continued by stating that I was being rude. Additional comments were made by this person. Of particular concern was that he stated that he had noticed my company badge and informed me that his dad was on our board of directors. He added that he would be letting his dad know that I did not embrace (our) company culture. He proceeded to start writing my name down. At this point, I asked to speak with a manager. In speaking with the MOD, it was at this point I was made aware that he was a off duty employee. This off duty employee remained present during my conversation with the MOD. He continued to be, in my opinion, very confrontational and belligerent to the point that the MOD finally asked me to step to the customer service desk. The MOD asked me what she could do to rectify the situation. I informed her I would like to speak with the store manager to make a formal complaint. I was told that the Store Manager was in a meeting and could not respond. Given my dissatisfaction with what had transpired, I insisted in speaking with the Manager. At this point she did call and a very professional and courteous Manager came down. I was made aware this was not the store Manager, but (if I recall correctly) a Customer relations Manager. I once again asked for the store manager but was informed that they could not come down. I explained to this manager what had occurred. While I found him to be pleasant and nice enough, I truly felt that he was merely making a attempt to pacify me with an apology. I did not get the impression that my upset or concern was being considered of any significance. He informed me he has never had any issues with this employee and was very surprised at what I was telling him. I definitely felt there would be no action taken nor did I feel that my concern had been resolved. Further, I expressed my concern about bringing my truck in for installation to a store where it is tolerated that employees can, not only aggressively confront a customer, but also is allowed to take my name down and make threatening comments that he will be speaking to his father who is on our board of directors! I must say that I walked into the Pinecrest Best Buy store hating the company. I had been trying for almost a week to order items online and the orders kept on being cancelled by the system, supposedly due to not being able to verify information. To make a long story short, I had been told over and over that my account had cases open to see why the orders were being cancelled, but days passed and even after 9 calls to customer service and emails back and forth, there was no resolution to the problem. I finally had to drive 10 miles to get to the Pinecrest store to try and make my purchases. At first I was told that a certain purchase could not be made under the conditions that existed when I first placed my online order, which just got me angrier, as I had been acting in good faith and was being prevented from making the purchase I desired through no fault of my own. Well, a very competent and friendly gentleman by the name of Devonaire did all he could to get to the bottom of my problem and find a solution, but he did not have the authority to do so. He called his manager, Danzel, who listened attentively to my entire story, showed empathy for the anger and frustration I was feeling and immediately sought to find a solution. I finally felt like I was being treated like a valued human being, not just another in an endless line of customers with problems. Danzel actively sought to resolve the problem; he didn't just parrot the stock replies that I had been given so many times over the last few days. In the end, he was able to resolve the problem to my satisfaction, but that was not the thing that most impacted me...it was the fact that Danzel looked at and treated me as the most important customer he had and gave me the respect and attention I deserve as a longstanding client of Best Buy. I was fully intending to never shop with Best Buy again after this incident, but the kindness and personalized treatment given to me by one Danzel softened my heart and soothed my ire. More companies need men like him to be the faces of their businesses, to represent them with honour, dignity and kindness. Yes, numbers are important, but it must not be forgotten that service is what people remember the most about their shopping experiences and excellent service, such as that rendered by Danzel, is what will keep us coming back.
