I spent 4 hours at home and 1 hour at the Verizon store to activate my new phone. It was a BRUTAL day. .. but Teresa ( I believe that's her name ) ... we had the opportunity to get to know each other while waiting for the activation department to do their thing. She handled the situation with extreme professionalism. For the first time ever I really like a Verizon sales representative.

We have upgrade, traded in, purchased outright, and then just used the equipment we had until something come along that we wanted to buy or trade in. The employees at this location are 'nice' with limitations of their requirements of being a Verizon employee. The employees are just Verizon employees who do not go beyond their personal place of being authenticly friendly, they are here just here to do a job and get paid - not be nice or anything close friendly. The young girl with we were assigned to reeked of marijuana. We had to explain to her 3, 4, 5 times that we had already upgraded our phones to S25's and needed to turn purchased old phones in.

I called Re-Tech and the tech told me he would re-insert the screen for no charge. Great! I wiped the phone and went to the store. The tech examined the phone and told me I needed a new battery, that the original was swollen. OK, $85 no big deal. I call for a pick up and I'm told that after installing the new battery, the screen no longer worked and I would need a new one. Not good! No thanks, say I, I'll just pick the phone up. I get to the store and I find that they have replaced the screen at no charge, since it was functional when they accepted it for repair. This was the right thing to do and I'm a happy customer. 5 stars.

Nice) I had gone in because when I changed my phone, I plan I got upgrade envy. I have an iPhone SE and really wanted to go for the eight. I knew they didn't have the one I wanted in stock from the website. The rep helping me double checked at the back for me, so when he didn't have exactly what I wanted he brought out the three next best options. (same model with fewer GB, and next two tiers up) The next two levels up are really too large for my hand (I don't know any women that have a plus), & I explained that I really did need more GB. I was planning on doing the trade-in, so we went over a couple of options. Either ordering it with him and having it sent to the store, bringing my trade-in to have it wiped and exchanging; ordering it myself online and still swapping at the store; ordering it myself online, using the insurance I had forgotten I had, and letting the rep on the phone talk me through wiping it. Although he works on commission, James told me that his area was piloting new software, and for some reason it would not allow him to only have me pay the $130+/- both the website and the app showed I would have to pay. Through the system I would've had to pay closer to $200. He also pointed out that I would be eligible for the free upgrade in just eight months. So he was recommending either waiting to get it for free or doing it through the website myself. Neither of which could possibly get him any kind of commission. (he didn't say that part, but I've worked sales for commission) i'm debating waiting the eight months, but I'm taking his $70 worth of advice and making the purchase online if I do it in advance. Since the 8 is larger & I knew a lot of my Quitman it would no longer work, I did ask him to spend some time going over cases and dashboard mount for a classy person with me. When I had to in my hand and was talking about another, he let me know that he could do A discount for getting three or more accessories. Save me about $20 with that. They were all things that I would've purchased anyway, but this way I had an expert help me pick it out and I got the discount. If I opt to go in the store, I am definitely going back and hoping I will get James (Carpenter) again. He was very straightforward and very patient with my millions of questions.

But Spectrum didn't actually close the account--they 'suspended' it without my consent. They waited 4 months until January 1st to suddenly charge my bank account $55 for a 'free' SIM card saying the account was suspended. When I called to get my money back, the reps were argumentative and blamed ME for not checking my email for a company I already quit. They strategically wait until you stop looking so they can take your money. This is predatory billing. The second trip was 29 days later, when that battery failed--still under warranty. We picked it up the same day, and while it powered on, the screen soon turned green at home. We returned again today for a third attempt to fix what was clearly caused during their repair. At checkout, they framed it like they were doing the right thing and "taking care of it" for us. But when we got in the car and turned the phone on, a new white flashing light started going off. This wasn't just unresolved--it was a final slap in the face. In retrospect, each time we went to Tech Bros, we experienced more damage. The way this was handled was completely unprofessional and dismissive. When we insisted that they fix the damage, they threatened to post our texts online like transparency would somehow make us look like the bad guys. Classic deflection tactic - trying to intimidate and discredit us because they know they've mishandled this, and we're holding them accountable. When I went back to GS (1st one on line when they opened) I was told to make an appointment and the only available was 5 days away...
